Sandpiper is a modern detached holiday bungalow in Paignton Devon. Set in a large level garden in the respected residential area of Preston, it has local shops nearby as well as Occombe Farm, a working organic farm with farm shop and cafe, all run by a local Trust and offering a great visitor experience for both children and adults. The accommodation is bright and spacious with the sitting room opening through french doors onto the deck and garden to the rear. The double bedroom also overlooks the rear garden whilst the spacious twin room is to the front and has a futon so can sleep 3. The level rear garden and the furnished deck provide an ideal spot for relaxing or al fresco dining. The sandy beaches at Preston and Paignton and the main shopping centre are all close by and can be reached by a short drive or bus ride as are the neighbouring Torbay towns of Torquay and Brixham with all their visitor attractions. Free Wi~fi provided.

Comfortable and clean

Our stay at Sandpiper was very comfortable. On arriving at the property it was lovely and warm and we appreciated the welcoming tea tray. Everything in the property was clean and obviously looked after. The nearby shops being an easy walk away were a bonus and can recommend the local fish and chip shop. The location was ideal as it was easy to get on to the ring road for further afield destinations and just down the road the other way for the seafront. We would definitely stay again at this property.

Booked Sandpiper as a late deal, found it no problems, once inside we found the accommodation to be comfortable and everything it said on the write up. It was clean and we'll presented, although could do with some modernisation.

Lovely property in good area

This was our 2nd stay in this lovely property which is in a nice area and close to everything we needed and a good base to travel to other areas. The welcome tray was much appreciated again. We were disappointed that the red leather settle still hasn't been changed it was most uncomfortable. the other settee is was but this year it and the cushions smelt a little musty so need freshening up. The bush at the front had been cut down so it was easier to get onto the drive. If someone had a larger vehicle than ours though they would have difficulties due to the width of the drive. The rotary dryer is still in the same place so you can only use part of it. A towel rail put onto the end of the kitchen unit near the back door would be useful as would one to put over the radiator in the bathroom, both cheap to do.

We agree with one reviewer that you do wonder if anyone can see your sillouette when you are in the shower!

We would stay again but please please change that settee
