About the property

The Barn is one of our three properties, which is 17th century grade II listed and sleeps 6, the others are :

The Farmhouse 17th century grade II listed, also sleeps 6,

The Granary, which is curtelage listed, sleeps 2.

ALL CAN BE RENTED TOGETHER OR SEPARATELY AS REQUIRED, the Barn and Farmhouse are ideal for big parties with an interconnecting door that we can arrange to be unlocked for you.

They are located centrally in the village, down a small quiet lane just 5 minutes walk to the pubs and eateries and 10 minutes walk to the beach.

Possibly the best properties and location within the village of Croyde .

The Barn is presented to a very high standard (sleeps 6).

The kitchen includes: range cooker, granite work tops, flat screen TV, washing machine, tumble dryer, two refrigerators (one with freezer box), microwave and dining table that seats 6-8 people. All kitchen utensils that a good cook would require.

Downstairs cloakroom.

The comfortable beamed living room includes, 3 leather sofas, solid oak flooring, central heating, and open log fire. Wi-fi, flat screen TV, DVD player and bookcase full of books to curl up in front of the open fire are all supplied.

The master bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower room has a delightful view over the garden. Plenty of wardrobe space (hangers supplied). All bed linen, bath and hand towels supplied.

The second bedroom has twin beds again with an en-suite shower room and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, and again with a delightful view over the garden. All bed linen, bath and hand towels supplied.

The third bedroom also has twin beds and plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space. The view is over the garden. All bed linen, bath and hand towels supplied.

The modern family bathroom has bath facilities with shower above (all showers in this cottage are power showers).

Beautiful large sheltered garden with BBQ and garden furniture for 6 people with lovely views.

Private secluded courtyard parking for 2 cars for this cottage.

Our local housekeeper provides 24 hour emergency cover.

On your arrival you will find your Welcome Pack including wine, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk,

For the kitchen we supply dishwasher and laundry tablets, linen tea-towels and hand towel.

Please bring your own beach towels (not supplied with the cottage).

We are always delighted to welcome overseas visitors to our properties and over the last 4 years we have had the pleasure of guests from USA, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Shanghai, Switzerland, Belgium, Singapore and Denmark. So if you are thinking of spending some time in Devon why not come and stay at one of our properties in Croyde.

Beautiful property in the heart of Croyde. Just 10 mins walk to the beach and 3 mins walk the the local pub (the thatch). We absolutely loved it :)

Family holiday

Have just returned from a family holiday staying in The Barn and The Farmhouse. 6 adults and four children. The location of the cottages is great, close to Post Office, shops and Pubs. There is also a pleasnt walk to the beach. The cottages are very spacious and are equipped to a high standard. They are situated up a very quiet lane and there is ample parking space. Spacious gardens for the children to play safely. All in all a very nice place to spend a relaxing time. We will definitely be returning to Croyde and stay in The Barn and The Farmhouse.

Great cottage, great location!

Had a wonderful one week holiday at Croyde bay in the Barn which was outstanding. There was plenty of parking space and with the cottage being situated down a little lane it was extremely quiet. The cottage itself was extremely well equipped and we had a surprise gift of tea, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of wine...very nice! All the rooms were spacious and clean and the garden was lovely, typical country cottage. You do get a bit of noise from the adjoining cottage as there is just an internal door between them but this was not really a problem. The location was perfect as we were very close to the Post Office, shops, restaurants and beach. The ice-cream shop was a favourite. The restaurants were ok, very busy and very casual, we took clothes to dress up a bit for dinner but really didn't need to. The kids went surfing and had lessons at the Croyde Surfe School, they had a great time, the staff were friendly. Body boarding is great fun and everyone seems to do it, we didn't plan to join in but it was easy to hire boards and wet suits for the day. We would definitely go back to Croyde and stay in the Barn again.

If you are looking for the most fab property in the most delightful setting, then these are the cottages for you. Set in the heart of the most idyllic village with the beach on your doorstep, and the most fantastic walks close by. After spending a day out to return to these georgous surroundings with wonderful gardens to sit outside and have a glass wine will make your holiday complete. We have just returned from our third visit to both the Farmhouse and the barn, and can't wait to return.

The properties are idyllically situated right in the heart of the picturesque Devon coastal village of Croyde, which has history that stretches over a thousand years to pre-saxon times. It is set in a small turning off St Mary's Road. Only 5 minutes walk to local amenities such as the shops, pubs, restaurants, surf shops, etc. Approx 10 minutes level walk to the beach.

Croyde in North Devon provides a wonderful holiday location in a beautiful setting bordered by National Trust land on one side and the UNESCO Braunton Burrows biosphere on the other.

Apart from Croyde beach there are three other fantastic sandy beaches to choose from ideally suited for surfing, sunbathing, kite flying and beachcombing etc, they are Saunton Sands, Putsborough and Woolacombe Bay.

The National Trust coastline and the Tarka Trail are perfect for walkers and places to visit from there include Lee Bay, which is ideal for sunbathing, rock climbing and shrimping and a pint in The Grampas, and Ilfracombe, which has a very nice working harbour and good restaurants and eateries.

Further afield are Barnstaple, 12 miles away, which is good for shopping and eating and Clovelly, which is a very old seaport, very quaint with donkeys being the only transport allowed through the village to the harbour - well worth a visit.

For falconry displays and sheepdog displays check local events.

Cycling is very popular in this area with lots of areas of interest to go to and the Tarka Trail is ideal for both walking and cycling.
