Altea is a wonderful coastal town and is busy at all times of the year. There is a weekly market which is popular with locals and tourists and you can find locally grown fruit and vegetables as well as souvenirs to take home. Food always plays an important part to Spanish people and some of the best restaurants can be found in the area. Don't miss the great restaurants and bars that line the boulevard and even more in and around the church square. The church area must be visited with its quaint cobbled streets which are full of artisan shops, boutiques, artists and street entertainers. In summer months the beaches are popular. They are stone beaches, but rich golden sand beaches can be found nearby. You really do not need a car to enjoy this lovely apartment as everything is in walking distance. If you do want to go further afield, take the bus or train, both run regularly to the nearby towns and cities for a very reasonable price. Don't forget some of the top attractions are also to be found including magnificent golf courses, theme parks and water parks as well as great shows and entertainment for all the family whatever there age.
We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday in Altea. We arrived in the evening to a well equipped, clean apartment. Eraine welcomed us and we were grateful for the food/drink package....a lovely touch. The apartment had everything we needed for a family of 4 ( including my 2 daughters aged 5 and 8). There are supermarkets and lots of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. The old town took a little longer to walk to but it was worth it to see the pretty buildings and enjoy the lively atmosphere. The shared pool is great for swimming however does not have a shallow end for younger kids. There is a life guard on duty though.
We really enjoyed sitting on the large balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine listening to the sea.
We would recommend the apartment and enjoyed a great holiday.
Just back from 2 weeks at this lovely apartment. On arrival Eraine was there to meet us and gave us a quick guide of the apartment and its facilities. She had also provided a welcoming pack of food and drinks which was a really nice touch.
The apartment is clean and very well equipped. The balcony is a great size for sunbathing and private with great views out to sea. Apart from the balcony furniture, sun loungers are provided for use there and by the pool. The pool itself is large yet so quiet, hardly ever more than 6 people there.
The location of the apartment couldn't be better with everything in walking distance.
I would definitely stay here again.
Just back from a week in this lovely apartment. Immaculate condition and all good quality furnishings, a real home from home.
Eraine is a great hostess very welcoming and helpful
Would definitely recommend.
Nice to meet you Eraine hope to meet again.
The apartment and location were wonderful.
Only downside was the all day noisy construction around the lagoon in front of the property.

We had a great time in this appartment. Together with our two teens we spent almost two weeks here. It is very clean and there is a lot of space and everything you need is available. There is a big balcony where you can relax and overlook the sea. It is just a short walk to the boulevard with a lot of restaurants. But the best place to go is up in the old city of altea, which is also just a short walk. We would love to come back to Altea and to this appartment. Thanks again Eraine for everything! Bas, Henriette, Laura and Matthijs.
The flat was accurate regarding to location, facilities etc.
The property was clean and well maintained.
The owner provided very good customer service and took very good care of me and my son.
I will suerly recomend this property to friends.
Altea is located in the region of Alicante on the Costa Blanca. This is without doubt one of the most beautiful towns to be found on Spain's 'White Coast'. If you want all night clubs and the bright city lights on your holiday, give Altea a miss. This town is a holiday heaven for the more discerning tourist who will be captivated by its medieval cobbled streets, its picture book old quarter and the delights of its palm-fringed seafront esplanade. Altea is a restful resort where there's plenty to see and do without being bothered by the mayhem which typifies some of the busier coastal towns in high season.
Altea is an attractive town with a history going back many centuries. The towns name was derived from the Arabs who named it Althaya, meaning health to all.
The old town with its many little streets of immaculate white washed houses is a fascinating place to stroll . . . From the old town it's a short walk to the sea-front by any of the network of cobbled streets , many of which are adorned with bougainvillaea and jasmine.
The commercial part of the town, offers its market ,boutiques and the newer palm-lined esplanade packed with restaurants serving delicious international cuisines.
Altea holds a street market every Tuesday from 8am to 1.30pm and visitors flock from all over the area to purchase fresh locally grown produce and gifts
Due to Altea´s cultural status (it is home to the University of Fine Arts) there are dozens of art galleries and antique and craft shops, selling items unique to the area.
City life in Alicante (45 mins) and Valencia (1 hr 15 mins) is offset by the stunning Costa Blanca mountain scenery, home to the ancient monastery village of Guadalest. Altea is approximately a 20 minutes drive from Benidorm where you can visit many of its attractions such as Agualandia which is a must if you have children or the young at heart, Terra Mittica theme park for the thrill seekers, and Mundomar to swim with the dolphins.
