About Jeanie H
I am an arts organization executive. I love what I do - making the world a better place one small change at a time. I adore my home, my neighborhood, and my city. Thanks to VRBO, I can share it with you! Born in Beijing, I also speak fluent Mandarin. Although China will always be my motherland, New York is home now and is where my heart belongs. With a dynamic circle of friends, I have a vibrant social life. I enjoy making genuine connections with people from all cultures, at home or wherever my travels bring me to.

Lovely, airy space in a beautiful neighborhood.
Perfect location! Parks and shops and plenty of good restaurants. And the host couldn't be nicer. Thanks, Jeanie, for giving me an oasis.
Clean, spacious apartment with an elevator located 5 minutes from the Subway, a great stay
This was a great stay at a really fantastic price especially considering the brilliant location 5 minutes away from Dyckman Street Subway which gave easy access into other parts of Manhattan. The space is clean and spacious and close to the main road, also which made it very convenient. It's a great, roomy apartment and I was really pleased that it had an elevator, which not all NYC apartments do- this made it great for handling my luggage. Jeanie is also an excellent host and was really helpful, even kindly alerting me to issues with the NY Subway system etc. which was really great. I had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend!
Umi was a great guest! I was mostly away during her stay, but I really enjoyed our brief exchanges of conversations when we did get the chance to catch up a bit. I wish her trip to NYC was successful! Will definitely host Umi again in the future.
Great place to stay in NYC!
Jeanie was a great hostess and we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was so close (just a block or two) to the A subway line and a short walk to the Cloisters. Plenty of restaurants, a grocery store and a Starbucks nearby. We parked in a garage the first night, but were able to find street parking after that. Fun neighborhood! We'd definitely stay again.
Melanie was super sweet and respectful. You can just feel that she and her husband are good people. Will host them again anytime! Good luck with all!
