Chris, thanks again for allowing us to rent your home. It is always a pleasure staying at your home!
My mom and I rented this home for 10 days over Thanksgiving. It was the perfect location for relaxing and exploring the nearby area.
We were given a key code for the door which worked well for coming and going. Chris emailed detailed instructions for getting to the cottage and checked with us a couple of times to make sure everything was okay. He responded promptly to a question I had during our stay, and was very pleasant in all of our interactions.
The cottage was very cute and comfortable. I enjoyed reading and relaxing on the oversize couch. There was also cable tv and wifi available.
The beach is an easy two block walk from the house, and I had it pretty much to myself this time of year. I loved taking long walks and watching the sun set.
The village beach shops were closed in November, but there were plenty of restaurants, grocery stories, and shops still open in Mashpee (less than 10 min drive away). I liked the cottage's location on Cape Cod in general. We were able to easily explore Cape Cod, took a ferry to Martha's Vineyard, and were even close enough for a day trip to Newport, RI to tour The Breakers mansion and walk the cliff walk.
It took us about an hour and a half from Boston to get to the cottage. We were fortunate enough not to run into much traffic.
I'm glad we decided to visit during the off season. It was nice to experience Cape Cod when it was quiet.
It was a beautiful property and very close to the beach. The house has everything you need especially the washer n dryer came in handy. Shopping, restaurants, movie theater and bowling are all within 10 min from house. Highly recommend!
We booked our stay at the last minute and we're pleased by the prompt and helpful response by the owner Chris, to our enquiries. The cottage was clean, bright and pleasantly decorated, located very close to the seashore for bracing walks. As it was October we did not use the outside courtyard areas but they seemed attractive and appeared adequately furnished. As I do cook quite a bit on holiday I would have liked a few more utensils in the kitchen, eg, frying pan, grater, mixing bowl, fish slice. The cooker and fridge freezer are both a good size however.
Both the bedrooms are spacious although the upstairs bed has rather noisy springs. The bathroom was fine. Downstairs the conservatory is an attractive and airy place to eat and the sitting room comfy. A nice place for the two of us to enjoy a relaxing stay.
Maushop village is a tasteful development and the nearby sandy beach is attractive. It was very quiet as we were there out of season. We drove to Mashpee Commons for supermarket provisions, about 5/10 minutes away. We made lots of excursions across Cape Cod and a day trip to Martha's Vineyard.
Loved the location and so convenient to the venue for a wedding. we stayed 2 days and the cost was great along with the central location for visiting many area attractions. Beach for this complex is gorgeous. Cant say enough !! loved it all 4 of us had a wonderful weekend
