One of the best vacations we've ever had!
The property is beautiful. The pictures do not do it enough justice. It's was spacious enough for us (a couple and a 10-year old), it's newly renovated, beautiful cathedral ceilings and wood floors with nice selection of rugs, very clean, cozy and has everything you need.
Kitchen is stocked up with everything you can think of. We cooked mostly at home as the prices to eat out on the island are...pricy. There was nothing in the kitchen that we needed and couldn't find.
The mattresses are high quality, firm but very comfortable. The outside shower has hot water. Great location, close enough drive to any destination, but far enough from the main road to be quiet and private.
The private beach is really a huge asset. It's nice, clean, quiet, no waves, beautiful; water is warmer than other beaches we have visited, which were all beautiful in their own way. South beach is the busiest, has waves for those who like surfing.
The owners are very nice, kind and helpful people, but we hardly seen them, as they give you privacy.
We enjoyed relaxing and swimming on a private beach, biking on the trails in nearby state park, visiting all the town's, which are all charming and different, watching sunset on Menemsha beach, taking a drive on the beach tour to wooden lighthouse on Chappaquiddick island, hiking at Cedar Tree Neck, Aquinnah cliffs, Menemsha Hills Reservation.
Beautiful island for any kind of traveler, and the house is a perfect place to stay for a small family.
The cottage was well-equipped and clean and suited our family of four needs just fine. The owners respected our privacy, but were available for inquiries. Access to the beach was a great asset. The location is an ideal spot for accessing other parts of the island as well. No complaints here! Thanks Mark and Sharon.
This cottage was really quiet and peaceful. Perfect for relaxing on the deck or down by the lagoon. The landlords were helpful and friendly. The location was perfectly located between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, but you will likely need a car if you stay here. The only complaint that we had was that the bed was not terribly comfortable.
