Why Doris Sultana chose Xagħra
The location of this property, as well as the farmhouse's aesthetic beauty of local stone cut hundreds of years ago, transports the visitor to a place of complete relaxation. It's seclusion is twinned with the possibility of returning to the hustle and bustle of town life in a scenic ten minute walk. Julian and Doris have called this island 'home' all their lives; buying this property was just a natural step in celebrating Gozo and its way of life with people from all around the world.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
A 360 degree vista of the blue Mediterranean Sea and island fields; the spacious pool area, ensuite rooms, cosy living area, walking distance to the lively village of Xaghra, no parking problems
Pool / Spa

Enjoyed our stay.
The villa is beautiful and as described with plenty of room for a family of 5. Beautiful views from the back, lovely swimming pool, although a little on the small side. Doris was very helpful, we had everything we needed, and had plenty of electricity for the air conditioning. Might benefit from a few tiny modernisation of the washing machine and kitchen equipment. However, this did not take away from our enjoyment.
Thanks a lot Rowan for this lovely review. I'm glad you had a good stay in our villa. It was a pleasure accomodating your lovely family. Looking forward in accomodating you in the future.
Greetings from sunny Gozo:)
Very nice property, quiet and with lovely view and nice, if quite small, pool.
Property on arrival was very clean. Well equipped, especially with towels, main appliances, e.g.. cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave.
Property is on outskirts of Xaghra but also close to Malsalforn, which has a good range of shops and restaurants.
Thank you for your lovely review. Glad to hear you had a good stay with us. It was a pleasure acccomodating your beautiful family.
Greetings from Gozo.
Ix-Xaghra (pronounced: shara) is built on a hill to the central north-east of the island of Gozo. It lies just under four kilometres from Rabat, the town of the island, and is aptly described as the village of the goddess and the Madonna. Ix - Xaghra was one of the earliest inhabited areas of Gozo.
Xaghra enjoys very rich historical sites, undoubtedly the most famous are the Ggantija Temples. They date back to 3600 - 3200 B.C., which makes them older than the Pyramids of Egypt and the oldest known human structure in the world.
Apart from this, Xaghra also has a number of grottoes, such as Calypso Cave which plays a role in Greek mythology.
Our farmhouse is close to all amenities and lovely restaurants, bars and cafeterias situated in the village square as well as close to Gozo's main sandy beach.
