A house with 2 bedrooms and a beautiful view of the countryside and the mountains
Recently renovated while retaining many original features, La Maison dans le Ciel offers a lot of comfort and charm: beamed ceilings, a large traditional fireplace and original tiled floors.
You will appreciate an exceptional view of the Massif du Luberon and the Monts de Vaucluse, with vineyards, orchards and lavender fields.
The asset of the property is the view from the living room on the second floor, about 14 m above the street. The windows are floor-to-ceiling: this is a great place for an aperitif or a summer meal as the sun sets and a breeze blows.
Located in the most picturesque street of the village, the house is next to the medieval and Renaissance buildings and above the 12th century ramparts.
With a living area of 70 m2.
Shops, restaurants and market 2 min walk: you will find all shops and facilities.

lovely house in the heart of town
My husband and I stayed at the house for 5 nights as our base for exploring the area. It was very clean, beautiful views from living room and second floor bedroom, even though we didn't cook the kitchen appeared well equipped. Do bring your own bath products as there is no hand soap or extra toilet paper, this is not meant as a complaint but just a heads up.
And there is a small supermarket about minute's walk away, where you can buy all kinds of household products.
The house is charming - though probably not easy to fully appreciate for the vertically challenged. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Luberon - in the centre of the village and therefore close to shops and restaurants and also within easy reach of regional attractions such as local markets, quaint villages, forest walks, vineyards, historical and architectural sites and even truffle hunting adventures. Aix, Arles and Avignon are all within an hour's drive. The house has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay and the view from the upstairs window across the Calavon river valley is both spectacular and relaxing.
The local contact person is very accommodating.
Well managed property in an excellent location.
This home had everything we needed for our wonderful week in Bonnieux. The location is FANTASTIC. Bonnieux is in the center of everything in the Luberon, and this house is right in the center of town. The highlight was certainly the top room with the excellent view of the mountains, vineyards and sunsets. The home was well equipped with all of the essentials but not much else. It feels like a rental property more than a home (which is fine.) Our only complaint was that it was very hot. The daytime temperatures were around 37-39C (or 100F) and there is no air conditioning or fans in this apartment. There house was never able to really cool. We slept on top of the beds and woke up hot the next morning. We took rides in the car or headed to a nearby lake to get relief in the afternoons. A few fans would have really helped.
Aside from the heat, I highly recommend this property and think you will be hard pressed to find something better in the area for the same price.
I'm so sorry these guests had uncomfortable nights. In fact, there was a fan in the house at the time, and it's unfortunate that these guests didn't see it. I am anxious that guests has the best holiday possible, so, if there is any kind of problem, like this one, I welcome guests getting in touch with me or the local manager about it. We will do everything we can to find a solution.
I have now provided two further fans.
Also, it is possible to keep the house from getting too hot during the daytime, by managing the windows, the window shutters and the thermal curtains. I have now provided guidance on how to do this in the house information folder.
This home is in the perfect location for exploring Provence. It was clean and we'll equipped. The views are stunning and it was convenient to groceries, restaurants and the weekly market. It was also easy to get free, on street parking.
The only problem: The stairs, because my husband blew out his knee a few weeks before our arrival. So with his injury, a hill village , plus three flights of stairs caused issues that couldn't be avoided. But we loved this place and cooked some wonderful local food and drank lots of local wine.
Thank you John Tuckey and Madame Gilles.
