Haverstock is a spacious, detached sandstone villa built circa 1900 in the historic Victorian Spa town of Bridge of Allan, recently awarded Best Small Town in Scotland 2010, 2011 and runner-up 2012.

With excellent cooking and dining facilities, modern heating system with continuous hot water, underfloor heating in kitchen and family area, as well as plenty of living space, Haverstock is ideal for family holidays or special celebrations with friends.

Many restaurants, bars and shops within 10 minute walk as well as the train station with direct access to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth. Stirling City center is 3 miles away, frequent bus and train services.

This is an exceptional place from which to explore Scotland including Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and many of the castles, monuments and attractions of Scotland. You can explore by walking, cycling, car or train.

The property comprises large entrance hall, Sitting room with wood burner, 42 inch plasma TV and DVD player, Dining room with table for 8 and leather seats, downstairs cloakroom, large shower room complete with shower, toilet, modern vanity unit , tiled floor and walls, open plan kitchen with 4 oven Aga, induction hob, electric oven, microwave, wine fridge, dishwasher, island with two bar stools and fridge freezer with water and ice. This leads through to a casual dining area with seating for 8 , bifold doors to garden and Family area with 40 inch smart TV, Bifold doors to garden and underfloor heating. Utility room with washing machine and sink.

Large first floor Drawing Room with views to Stirling Castle, large comfortable sofas and sofa bed. Luxurious main Bathroom with large bath, large walk in drench shower, toilet, tiled floor and walls.

There are 4 bedrooms: Master with Superking bed with Dressing room, Double with kingsize bed and two twin rooms with single beds.

This property can sleep up to 10 people as there is use of a sofa bed in the sitting room.

The large,enclosed private garden with patio areas for outdoor dining is an ideal spot to sit outside and relax with a glass of wine after a hard days' sightseeing..

Great location and lovely house.

We were nine and the house accommodated us beautifully. Lots of space, awesome kitchen, well-appointed. Could have used extra towels plus facecloths. (8 sets for nine of us, though the youngest was 2, but she needed a towel too!) No extra toilet tissue, no paper towels or Kleenex, so dishcloths or drying towels in the kitchen - you will have to provide those. The location was great, easy to find and very quiet. In Bridge of Allan so very close to shops and restaurants, and accessible to Stirling. Highly recommend it!

Amazing House, Great Location, Highly Recommended

We were an extended family of 8 on vacation in Scotland and Haverstock provided our base for exploring for the week. The house is huge, beautiful and overall very impressive. The house was clean, well decorated with comfortable seating, bedding and quality kitchenware (more than everything we needed was there). The house was almost too big and several rooms went unused (downstairs tv room and formal dining room). The only knock I'd give on comfort is the lack of bathrooms upstairs, all four of the bedrooms are located upstairs but only one bathroom of the 2.5 were upstairs. A suggestion: one of the rooms downstairs is used for linens and storage- move that up to an upstairs room and turn the downstairs storage into a bedroom- this would also be good for mobility compromised guests- my 88 year old grandmother would have appreciated a downstairs bedroom). But that aside there is almost no complaints about the quality and comfort of the home.

Location is fantastic. Bridge of Allan is a very attractive little town. Grocery and restaurants are a short pleasant walk from the house, a train station is less than a mile away as well if you are without car. The upstairs sitting area has views of Stirling Castle in the distance. You are right in the middle of Scotland an hour train or car gets you to so many different places, up into the Highlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, St Andrews are some of the places we were able to get to during our stay. I don't think you could find a better location to base yourself for a week or so in Scotland.

Gorgeous home, great central location

Very impressive home. Everything is very nice. It’s modern in all the right places: kitchen, bathrooms, etc. and charming and warm in all the others: furnishings, decorations, etc. We were a group of 8, 4 generations worth of family and everyone enjoyed the space. No complaints about bed comfort, quality linens and towels were provided. Location is great, Bridge of Allen is a cute town- restaurants and grocery store are within walking distance and with car (or rail- station is also walking distance) was easy to get around to many places throughout Scotland. Would recommend.

Wonderfully spacious accommodation.

On opening the front door we felt the lovely warm and inviting atmosphere of this very spacious home.

The kitchen area is fabulous and with the AGA and under floor heating it is the area that we gravitated to most of the time, although the whole house is lovely and warm and very clean.

The kitchen is very well equipped, everything there that we needed. Bathrooms gorgeous. Loved the walk in shower in the upstairs one. Beds comfortable.

Enjoyed our evening drink in the comfortable upstairs lounge with fabulous views.

The house is very well situated within walking distance of shops and lovely restaurants. We especially liked Jam Jar and cocktails in the Royal Hotel.

The owners have thought of everything to help make your stay enjoyable and Stirling Self Catering do a very good job also. Would love to visit again.

Family BIG birthday

We booked Haverstock for my wife's 60th. birthday celebration. Haverstock exceeded our expectations. In addition to those staying, lots of family came on the big day itself to share in the celebrations. The house is extremely spacious with plenty of space for guests to move around freely, chat, eat and drink. An excellent blend of formal and informal spaces. The upstairs drawing room is very grand and proved to be a good space to get everyone together for cutting the birthday cake.

The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. Particularly liked the dressing room off the master bedroom. The upstairs shower & bath room is huge.

The shops and restaurants of Bridge of Allan are just five minutes walk away. The train station made it easy for some guests to arrive and leave without need for a car.

All in all an excellent weekend with nothing to fault. Would definitely recommend and hope to have a reason to visit again in the future.

Spectacular property, we loved our stay!

This is a great house with all the amenities! Very comfortable for two families to share with plenty of space for quiet time. The location is great for walking to local shops, restaurants, pubs and easy distance from Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument. Would love to rent this again sometime!

    At end of your stay, the refundable breakages/damage deposit is refunded onto the card used to make the balance payment. Failure to use a card valid beyond departure date will incur bank charges to process the refund to International bank accounts.



    Please note that if your booking is placed less than 6 weeks before arrival date full payment plus the relevant amount of refundable breakages/damage deposit must be made on booking.



    BY BOOKING AND MAKING PAYMENT YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT/CANCELLATION :



    Booking fee, deposit, refundable breakages/damage deposit and balance payment



    1. A 50% non refundable deposit has to be made by you on booking. This is to secure your booking and represents a booking that will be fully confirmed on receipt of the remainder of the rental fee . 2.5% of the total rental amount is due in a booking fee. This will be taken with the deposit payment.

    2. Confirmation of the booking will normally be made to you within 48 hours of receipt of the payment.

    3. Full payment plus the relevant amount of refundable breakages/damage deposit is required 6 weeks prior to the rental period. If you have ticked the repeat payment option to allow us to take the balance payment from the card used on booking, this payment will automatically be taken 6 weeks before arrival date. E mail confirmation of the payment will be sent out.

    4. If a booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to the rental period, full payment plus the relevant amount of refundable breakages/damage deposit is required to secure the booking.

    5. A refundable breakages/damages deposit has to be paid with the balance payment 6 weeks before arrival date. This is to cover any breakages or damage whilst staying in the apartment. It will be returned after the rental period following a complete and satisfactory check of the inventory and property.This can take up to 7 days to show in your account.

    6. Full details of how to get to the house and where the key can be collected will be sent to the person making the booking after full payment has been received and no sooner than 6 weeks before the date of entry.

    7. The owners reserve the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received by the due date.



    Changes to the booking dates



    1. Any change can be made to the booking (subject to availability) before 6 weeks with no charges. However changes may be subject to necessary changes in rental period charges

    2. Any changes to bookings made with less than 6 weeks to booking are made at the owner's discretion and subject to necessary changes in rental period charges.

    3. All changes made with less than 6 weeks to the rental period are subject to a standard charge of £50 or currency equivalent.



    Cancellation Charges



    The client may cancel the booking at any time after it has been confirmed.

    Cancellation must be made in writing.

    Cancellation charges are as follows

    Less than 6 weeks – loss of total rental value, however refundable breakages/damage deposit will be returned.

    More than 6 weeks - loss of 50% non refundable deposit made on booking.



    Please Note: if the owners are able to re-book the cancelled dates, all rental monies paid will be refunded minus a 20% administration fee for each portion of nights rebooked, irrespective of when the booking is cancelled.



  • Contractual booking deposit: 50.00% rent
  • Damage deposit: GBP500.00
