A beautiful extended Victorian building with 4 bedrooms and a pull-out sofa for the kids. We used the house for a family get together for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. There were 8 adults and two children (aged 8 & 10) and at no time did we feel we were tripping over each other.
The bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable.
Two shower rooms and plenty of hot water ensured there were no queues in the morning.
The Haverstock is located a couple of hundred yards from the center of Bridge of Allan, with boutique shops, nice restaurants and a micro brewery. Less than 10 minutes drive away there are the Wallace monument and the center of Stirling, with larger shops, and for tourists the old Victorian jail and the castle.
Overall it was a fantastic long weekend in a beautiful house in a wonderful part of the country.
Fantastic home for a large group. Great central location. Walking distance to downtown Bridge of Allan. Short drive to Stirling. I would recommend without hesitation.
Haverstock is a very spacious and beautifully presented home from home. Very well equipped, there was nothing wanting. For us there was no issue, but for larger groups perhaps only two bath/showerrooms might be a challenge first thing in the morning.; however a massive combi boiler means the hot water never runs out. The Aga was turned down a bit in June but the oven and hob alternative meant cooking for a number was fine. An easy flat walk in to the centre of Bridge of Allan means dining out doesn't need to involve the car. Highly recommend.
Big spacious house with all mod cons and everything you could possible need. Well equipped kitchen for self catering. The house was very clean and nicely furnished.
A fantastic week was had by all, great location and local amenities. Would definitely return!
Haverstock exceeded our expectations in several ways. The house was so much bigger than we had expected with more than enough space for everyone when you go with a large group. Even when your group consists of ten people, the maximum, you will still have plenty of space for everyone. There is always a room to spend some time on your own if you want.
Furthermore, if you like cooking you will find everything you need. Truly a very well-equipped house.
We had a lovely weekend at Haverstock, it is a beautiful house and the space was amazing. It was a pity the weather wasn't great as the children would have been playing outside most of the time however there was an ample supply of books, games and DVDs available to keep them busy. There is also a good park along the road which we visited (in the rain) after having great fun doing an Easter egg hunt in the big garden which was perfect for running around. Also have to mention the welcome supply of condiments, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets left for us and the very well equipped kitchen and finally the beautiful flowers, delightful and much appreciated. Well done Stirling Self Catering.
