Gary and Marcella Stachurski, owners of Cedarbrook Lavender Farm and Seaview Vacation Rentals at Cedarbrook, invite you to vacation on the grounds of our working Lavender farm. Stay as long as you wish and we assure you that you will want to come back soon!
Marcella Stachurski purchased this farmhouse in 2005
Our love for the Olympic Peninsula brought us to Sequim in 2005 and we wanted to share staying on our farm with others. We enjoy visiting with all of our guests. We aim to please, just ask!
Our vacation rental is a home away from home that is situated in the southwest corner of Cedarbrook Lavender Farm and has a beautiful northeastern view of Mt. Baker and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. No need to drive to a lavender farm if you stay with us you're there, just a stroll on the connecting pathway to the farm.
This was an awesome Vacation. We enjoyed the beautiful view. We saw all we could see everyday we were here and each day was more beautiful than the last. From Unit 1 Guest Book
My wife and 2 adult single children found this to be a very nice place to come and relax. We came to the Pacific Northwest to relax and enjoy nature. Used this as a base for a couple of days while we took in the coast, Hurricane Ridge, the rain forest etc. We also enjoyed the different lavender farms in the area. We could relax in the evenings. Close to town for what you need but quiet enough to relax. Very well stocked kitchen to make and eat meals. Very nice accommodation. We really enjoyed the view out the wall of windows. We will stay there again if we get in the area. The owners have provided a very nice and a very clean place.
A friend and I just spent the weekend here and really enjoyed it. Every room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, with soft sheets and spare blankets available if you get cold. I loved the wrap around porch/deck, and spent much of my time at the rental out on the deck. The hosts were perfect- they were responsive to any questions before arrival (and I'm sure would have been responsive to questions during our stay, if we had any), while maintaining our privacy and not needing anything from us during our stay. I hope to return and certainly will if I come to the area again. Plenty of times, as I was relaxing on the porch, sipping a cup of tea, I found myself thinking about how x, y or z person in my life would love it out there and how I'd like to come back with them.
A note for those with mobility issues- the unit is up one flight of stairs. We had no issue with this and enjoyed the fact that it gave us nicer views, I mention it only to put the information out there for those who would be impacted.
Quick tip for future renters- Though a lot of wonderful lavender toiletry products are generously supplied for us to use, note that this doesn't include shampoo/conditioner/shaving supplies, so bring your own. I don't think I saw a face specific cleanser, but I'm not certain, I may have just missed it.
Some notes about things in the area- We did some great hiking in the Olympic National Park, about a 30 minute drive away. The unit is a less than ten minute drive from the lavender festival, if you happen to come during the festival weekend. The festival was fun, but much smaller than I expected and closed at 7pm. We had a delicious meal at Nourish restaurant, right down the street from the rental. Food and supplies from Safeway and Costco (we eat a lot of fruit in a short period of time :) ), less than ten minute drive from the unit. Even closer, Pane d'Amore bakery at Sequim and Washington is a small bakery with wonderful breads and pastries. We went through Red Dog coffee shop's drive through each day, great drinks and friendly service, but not a place to grab pastries or snacks.
My family and I stayed for two nights at the cottage. It was enough space for our family of four. My daughters (3&4 years old) enjoyed running around the farm. The cottage provided more than enough. Plenty of cookware to make your own meals. The owners were very kind and hospitable. We would stay here again as it is so close to lots of activities. If you have kids and need a nice place to stay this is the spot. We took our kids on a few hikes in the area and had a visit to the Olympic game farm. The place is only a few minutes away from grocery stores and restaurants making it super easy for meals. The view from the balcony was great. A great place for parents with young kids to unwind and relax after kids are sleeping.
Our family of four were so comfortable and well-taken care of at this spectacularly beautiful spot. There were amazing views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Mt. Baker, sunrises and sunsets, the blooming lavender fields, and Vancouver Island. The place has great lighting, a full wall of windows, comfortable beds, spotless bathroom, well-stocked kitchen that is easy to prepare meals in, and lots of comfy sitting areas for lounging and gathering for meals. We loved every minute and ended up extending our stay an extra night! Our hosts were very responsive. Highly recommended!
My fiance and I stayed one night and wish we could have stayed more. The view was incredible! The vacation rental was beautiful and felt like home. I would recommend to everyone.
Four ladies spent a wonderful time at this lovely place. It had a nice layout, everything we needed for our stay and a beautiful view from the large windows. There was a nice outside deck to relax and take it all in. I loved how close it was to downtown Sequim (we walked to the visitor's info center) and other great destinations like the Dungeness Spit and some very nice local trails (as recommended by the visitor's info staff!). I'd recommend this place to anyone!
