About Deb Morgan
My late husband and I found this magical place after living over twenty years in Tennessee. We were blessed to have been led to this, built everything from the ground up. Having always been a country girl, and fortunate to have lived it for most of my life, this property is still a dream beyond dreaming. I raise a few sheep, have my dear chickens, a Jersey cow, of course the barn cats and dog, and stay crazy busy growing a garden and maintaining the farm. I enjoy sharing my little bit Heaven on Earth with those who have a like minded outlook or who've never been able to experience life as it SHOULD be.. I'm here to help, to guide, to teach and to learn from others. It's a beautiful way to live, come and join me for a few days and find out!
Deb Morgan purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Deb Morgan chose Morrison
The location tucked into the the fabulous Cumberland Mountains, the privacy of being at the end of this stunningly lovely cove, looking East.. The site up on a 'bench' along the west mountainside, the vastness of what spread out before us when we first saw it. The wonderful quality of the grass in the pastures, the mountain dirt grows anything...Just knew it was where we wanted to spend the rest of our lives, even after having built and owned three other farms here in Tennessee. We knew this one was a once in a lifetime, one of a kind place that God brought us to.
What makes this Cabin unique
The seclusion and privacy makes you think you're in another place, another world, yet so close to the necessities of modern life. Proximity to so much nature has to offer, from out the front door to just a short drive away. The way the property lays, with few close up trees to impede the view, higher up in the valley than anything below us, yet still open and airy, bright and lively. The fact we are at the end of the private road, a mile off the main road gives this property as sense of serenity hard to equal. No close neighbors

Piece of heaven
This was the best getaway I have had in a long time. Scenery was just breath taking. The little cottage was so comfy and cozy. And the owner was more than helpful and accommodating. She is wonderful. No question I will be back.
Thanks so much Melissa! Was a pleasure to host y'all.. I so enjoyed you two.....please come back soon!
One problem is the front door (only door). I'm just over 6 ft tall and the door height is less than that when leaving out. I hit my head 3 times when going out. The trim molding on the door is kind of sharp and should be sand down to make the edge more dull.
Making more memories
My husband and I had a great time making more memories. The little cabin is very welcoming, comfortable, and peaceful. The cabin is well thought out and fully equipped. We loved waking up in the morning to the sun shining on the valley, hanging out in the afternoon, building a fire, cooking a beautiful meal...meat from a Mennonite farm close by...on the grill, and dining outside. Fireside!! The air is crisp and refreshing!! Thank you Debbie for sharing your peacefully perfect part of this great big world.
Yes, book this cabin. Yes, we will return to make more memories!
Thank you so much Karen, you and Steve were a joy to host! It's always so rewarding to have guests here who truly appreciate the paradise that I am blessed with. And I so enjoy sharing it with others! Looking forward to seeing you both again.
Property as advertised. Beautiful location. If solitude is what you are looking for, look no further. Debbie is an excellent host and very in touch with the local area. Cabin is perfect for two.
The Little Cabin is the best
Great place for rest and relaxation! Close to nearby sites and restaurants and our hostess Deb was friendly, and very helpful. She even took time out to introduce me to her little animal menagerie ! We had a Wonderful time !
Thanks so much Nancy,
It was a pleasure having you and Johnny here. Hope you can come back again!
Cozy Cabin with Amazing View
I enjoyed my weekend away in the cozy cabin on a farm in Morrison, TN. The cabin was furnished with a country/cowboy rustic theme and was very comfortable. The best part was the million dollar view from the front porch of the cabin. I sat on the porch every evening as the sun was going down and drank in the beauty. The flowers, farm fresh eggs, and tomatoes were a plus. It was an ideal place to get away from city life and relax and unwind.
I'm so glad you were able to refresh and replenish, Brant. That is my ultimate goal, and it is always rewarding to be able to share this beautiful blessing tucked away in the Cumberland Mountains with others. It has a way of working magic on my guests! Thanks again for visiting Shadows Drifting Farm.

Additionally the surrounding flat land has extraordinarily rich soil and is the nursery capitol of the world, growing much of the trees, bushes and ornamentals sold in the U.S. Additionally, our area has extensive corn , wheat, soybean, oat and rye fields, a true farming community with friendly, warm Southern hospitality.
The cabin is conveniently located to allow ease of access to many activities. Easy to get to just 13 miles from Interstate 24 and the bustling town of Manchester where you can find all you need.
Activities here at the farm include hiking the surrounding mountains , a great place for a run (the long private drive allows a two mile round trip), joining in the farm work.
