Lovely Old 3 Bedroom Paxiot Stone House (sleeps 5-6) In 1.5 Acres Above Gaios

Large simply furnished 3 bedroom old Paxiot stone house (cool all summer) set in 1.5 acres of olive groves above Paxos' capital, Gaios.

Views to die for over Gaios harbour, watch the comings and goings of all the boats right from the terrace of the house.

Outdoor sitting areas everywhere with purpose built BBQ and sun terraces. The house does not have a pool but the most beautiful beaches are literally at the bottom of the lane from the house and Paxos Beach Hotel is just 10 mins walk down the same lane and they welcome non residents as long as you use their poolside bar and restaurant for drinks and snacks.

Split level house with entry into large open plan living area. 3 steps up to rustic country kitchen (access to rear patio & BBQ) 2 bedrooms off lounge (one double & one single room) Shower room & WC on upper level.

Stairs down to small self contained lower level Annexe with twin beds, en-suite shower room & WC. Separate entrance door to gardens & lower terrace.

Large outdoor terrace with stunning sea & harbour views with pergola for al fresco family dining & relaxing in the shade.

House sits well back on a gated plot of 1.5 acres (6 stremma) & is very private & secluded yet within just 10mins you can walk to Gaios.

Owner tends to vegetable patch in lower area in garden, but that means that you often get given fresh potatoes, citrus fruit, figs, olives, olive oil, & other goodies from the garden. Greek hospitality at its best!!

Numerous supermarkets, tavernas, bars and cafes close by in Gaios. 2 banks with ATM's. Boat hire available at bottom of lane from house and speedboats depart daily for the stunning Anti Paxos with its white sand beaches.

Once inside the gates of Villa Bonas the villa stands right back on a 1.5 acre (6,000sqm) fenced plot, you can be away from the world yet are just a 10mins walk into the bustling capital town of Gaios.

We had a lovely holiday thank you. We loved the house and the garden - it is just the sort of place that we enjoy staying in and we loved Paxos and Antipaxos. Maybe an info book would be good of any quirky do's & dont's. Otherwise we loved the house.

Great location for a wonderful holiday

We can highley reccommend the villa! We, family with 3 children had a great holiday and really enjoyed our stay at the house and the island. A car is usefull to have when you want to go out for shopping and sightseeing but an early morning dive in the sea or cup of coffee in Gaios can easily done by walking 10 minutes downhill. The house is well equiped and beause of it's uphill location very quiet with lovely views. The service of the house-owner was outstanding, from picking us up at the harbour till cleaning the house and giving usefull tips about where to go out for diner and other activities. We had a great time, THANKS!

Private Location with stunning garden and views

For the planned restful week we were seeking somewhere private and quiet, and we certainly found that in Villa Bonas. One of a cluster of four hillside cottages - we didn't see any of our neighbours all week , due in no small part to the extensive and beautifully maintained gardens that surround the property. A traditional Paxiot home over 300 years old, it nevertheless has all modern facilities and has been immaculately maintained. The owner, who lives 5 minutes away in Gaios was attentive and helpful, but never intrusive.

The views over the small harbour and town of Gaios are superb, and it is only 3 minutes by car or or 12 minutes on foot (20 minutes uphill back), to all the shops, restaurants and bars you could wish for - but no night clubs and no rowdy crowds, Further afield on this lovely island there are beautiful beaches, villages and walks to explore.

Thoroughly recommended for an idyllic family break.

Villa Bonas is perched on top of a hill above the stunning harbour of Gaios, Paxos' bustling capital. Reached by a single track, Villa Bonas is tucked away in its very own 'fenced' 1.5 acres (6,000sqm) & enjoys total privacy.

Yet within just 10mins walk you are right in the centre of Gaios with all its cafe bars & tavernas.

Some of Paxos' best & least known beaches are just 5-10mins walk from the property & also one of Paxos' two hotels with swimming pool, tennis, mini golf & child’s play area is within 10mins walk & is open to non residents as long as you use their bar & restaurant facilities.

Cleaning 3 times per week with linen change twice weekly. Towels provided. Beach towels can be purchased in Gaios, no need to stuff your cases with them Living area with open fire for spring/autumn nights. Stairs down to separate annexe & doors leading to both upper bedrooms. Air conditioned living room. 3 steps up to beautiful traditional kitchen with cooker, fridge freezer and dining table. Door to rear sun terrace and BBQ. Kitchen has 2 original wood burning fireplaces. Air con in living room only but house is on top of a large hill so fantastic breezes all day & night & every window is fitted with mosquito blinds so we leave the windows open all summer. House is situated along a very private track, total privacy & secluded yet within just a short walk into town. 6th person possible (cot or folding bed supplied) but with extra charge.
