Contemporary home on wooded bluff overlooks Lake Ossipee and mountains. Privacy. Open concept living/dining area with cathedral ceiling. Large L-shaped deck with furnished screened-in porch area. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps 8. Private development with: beach access, boat launch, tennis, volleyball, badminton, picnicking, canoeing, and softball field. Electric golf cart on site that can be used to drive to the beach. At the beach are canoe, and two kayaks located on the canoe rack.
Our family (two adults and three children) has been vacationing at this home over the past ten years in the summer and for skiing in February. We love it for it's quiet location, roomy living room with fireplace and outdoor screened in porch. During the summer visits we eat our meals on the deck. And during the winter it is easy to get everyone (friends and family) around the big dinning table. We often have extra family come to stay.
The kids love going to the local "MonkeyTrunks" adventure park and we all love hiking in the local mountains as well as Mt. Washington.
During the summer getting to the beach is easy. The kids love the walk. One year we brought our bicycles (the hill up was a little much for the youngest, but fun for all). The beach scene is great. Very low-key. We love sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the deck overlooking the lake and mountains. It is really a great place just to relax.
Does not live up to the description, golf cart does not work and has not for a long time (neighbors told us), owners phone is disconnected when we tried to reach them, once home I had to call and remind them to send back deposit. The house is dark not much sunlight, but big, the water views are minimal. We thought we would be on the water atop a bluff, not the case, there is a street below and a thicket of trees.
Located 1 mile to the south is the Indian Mound 18-hole Golf Course; 1 mile north is a driving range, miniature golf and boat/canoe rental. Short drive to White Mountain National Forest. Outside activities include: swimming, boating, tennis, volleyball, badminton, hiking, and softball.
