Near the center of the village, Mas located on the road from the golf Manville is an independent modern house of 115 m2, air conditioned. The building and its equipment are very recent (2013) and current, for a cozy comfort, with access to European TV channels via satellite, internet and Wifi.

It can accommodate people with reduced mobility.

From its mezzanine reading the pages of a book or your favorite web site you will enjoy this moment of calm to contemplate the Alpilles.

Le Mas de la Manville Road includes a large garage with laundry, secure too, communicating with the kitchen.

For the comfort of its tenants, the cottage is non smoking and pets are not allowed.

Return visit - A great home in a great location

I stayed first at this home in summer 2014 and enjoyed the house and the location enough to return to it again for another 9 nights in May 2018. The owner, Bernard is very responsive, and his son David again helped us get settled in with some English-language instructions about the house. The house is modern, clean, very well-equipped, and has a wonderful private outdoor space. We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast each morning (after a quick walk to the local baker) and many evening meals and a glass of wine sitting by the pool in the private yard. Maussane-les-Alpilles is a wonderful base from which to explore the area with many nearby sites within a 1-hour drive from the house. The village center, with many good local bars and restaurants, is an easy walk minutes from the door. We were happy wih our decision to return to the area and to this beautiful home.

Pristine gite with excellent location

This lovely gite was exactly as described. It is in pristine condition with everything needed to enjoy our stay. The kitchen is fully outfitted and the owner even left us some beverages to get us started. The pool and garden area were clean and relaxing. We ate dinner on the patio one evening and swam daily. The location requires a car, but we were able to walk to the center of town for dinner and a small grocery store. The owner recommended several restaurants in town and we were not disappointed, particularly Le Petit Maussanais and Au Bistro Marin. We enjoyed the nearby Les Baux-de-Provence and the Carrieres de Lumieres. Highly recommended!

Superb

This property has been thoughtfully laid out to provide a convenient modern space, finished to a good standard and all without losing its charm. The property is well equipped to allow some self-catering or is within easy walking distance (a few hundred meters) of the village and some superb restaurants. The pool is small, more for cooling off than swimming, the back garden area is perfectly formed offering privacy and shaded areas and an outdoor shower. There is a large garage and external parking available. The roads around are quiet enough to allow runners to use them. This is in a beautiful area, Mausanne Les Alpilles is a lovely village (walking distance to several boulangerie and a Spar and also a wonderful organic shop that sold everything from wine, cheese, fruit and vegetables - akin to a very good farm shop in the UK). All in all a wonderful place from which to explore the surrounding areas, or simply enjoy the local rose and relax.

Excellent vacation spot

Three of us (all adults) stayed at this property in August / September 2014. I chose the property based on the online photos, but it’s larger and even nicer in person. The house has a small (unheated) salt pool (and outdoor shower) that is great for cooling off, and a large very private backyard area for relaxing, sunbathing, or eating meals outdoors. The house is in a quiet residential area, has a garage and an outdoor parking pad, security system, ½ bath downstairs, an excellent kitchen with a dishwasher, an indoor dining area, seating loft, a washing machine for laundry, Wi-Fi, and TV. The upstairs bedrooms and full bathroom are spacious and comfortable. Everything is new and very nicely appointed. It is an easy walk to the main street in Mausanne les Alpilles for groceries, ice cream, one of the 3 local bakeries, and many nice restaurants. (Larger grocery stores are nearby in St. Martin Le Crau or St. Remy.) There is a nearby town park with tennis courts and a large community swimming pool.

The owners live nearby, were very friendly and easy to work with, and take excellent care of the property. Hardly any detail of anything you could need on a holiday stay are overlooked. We did most correspondence by email, and the owner arranged for his son to serve as our English-language interpreter in person. Mausanne is an easy drive to many sites for day trips in the area (St. Remy, Glanum, Nimes, Arles, Avignon, Cassis, Aigues Mortes, Aix-en-Provence, etc.). If you’re traveling in this area, I would highly recommend this location. It made our stay in Mausanne exceptional.

Perfekter Sommerurlaub in der Provence

Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Ferienhaus. In der Sommerhitze spenden ein grosser Baum und der Pool die nötige Abkühlung. Ruhig gelegen am Rand von Maussane-les-Alpilles, mit Restaurants, Bäckerei, Lebensmittelgeschäft und Wochenmarkt (Donnerstags) in Gehdistanz. Die Vermieter wohnen nebenan und sind bei Fragen und Problemen immer hilfsbereit und rasch zur Stelle. Rundum zu empfehlen, gerne wieder!
