Beautiful and bright B&B located in Belleville's Historic "Old East Hill"

About Wayne & Tara Vandijk
Wayne and I have always had a passion for travel. We love to stay at B&B's all over the world! We bought this old house and became "empty nester's" shortly after. We both immediately imagined this beautiful Victorian home as a bed and breakfast, a place to share with others and a place to welcome others with the same love of travel! Wayne is a project manager at Bellevue Fabricating and works within P&G. I am the General Manager at The Belleville Club where I am lucky enough to meet so many lovely people every day!! Now that you know a little about us, we look forward to meeting you and learning just a little about you too!!! Xo Tara Vandijk
What makes this Bed And Breakfast unique
The House Henry Corby Sr built this house in 1875 and moved here from a large stone house at the northeast corner of Bridge and George St. Henry Corby Senior was a prominent figure in this area. He was born in 1796 in the village of Hanwell near London, England. He emigrated to Canada with his young wife in 1832, settling in Belleville. He started a bakery, and after years of successful business, he purchased some grist mills. These Thurlow mills, known as the Alma Mills, were bought from Silas Reed. Corby built the distillery which still bears his name. Today Corby Spirit And Wine Ltd is a leading Canadian marketer and distributor of spirits and imported wines. Brands include J.P. Wisers, Jameson, Malibu rum, Absolut Vodka, Beefeater Gin, Kahula and more

We enjoyed our stay - beautiful property, great hosts and nice breakfast.
Beautiful, comfortable B&B
Tara and Wayne were fantastic hosts. Our multigenerational family of 6 stayed in four rooms and we could not have been happier with the decor, the comfort, the breakfast, and the hosts. We will absolutely stay again the next time we are in Belleville. Congrats, Tara and Wayne, on a lovely home and business, and thank you for being so accommodating.
Thank you Kerri! It was our pleasure! You have a lovely family and it was so nice meeting you.
This is a beautiful home ,nice location and exceptional host. They were there for all our needs.we felt that we were guest in a private home. There are already plans to return.
Beautiful home but....
The house is gorgeous and the hosts Tara and Wayne are lovely. However it was not what we were expecting when looking to book through VRBO. This is a true B&B and we were looking for a private house to rent. The page listing is deceiving in that respect. We did not expect other people to be booked in at the same time. The other point that needs to be mentioned is the presence of a dog. She is friendly but if you are allergic or dislike dogs this is an issue. It's something that customers need to be made aware of. If you are looking for a B&B it's wonderful but we feel it would be better promoted on B&B listings not VRBO.
