This location is great! Definitely near the heart of Mt. Pleasant and close to the Isle of Palms connector to get out to the beach quickly. Definitely recommend. Plenty of room. Nicely furnished!

Loved our stay here! Great location to lots of different things!

We enjoyed our stay in Mount Pleasant at this house. All of us are very easy going and weren’t expecting anything extravagant. The house is definitely in need of some repair as noted by other reviewers. There is some notable water damage on the outside and even some that appears to be under the floor heading out to the back deck. Nothing that affected the inside and nothing that would appear to affect the vacationers inside the house. Overall, it’s not my house, so it wasn’t a major issue to me and did not affect our enjoyment or experience.

Probably the worst part of the experience was dealing with the neighbors. As noted in other reviews, the driveway is shared by this house and two others. We had multiple vehicles with us and therefore had to park some of the vehicles in the yard (as the owner stated we could). We carpooled downtown one day and moved some vehicles around to enable the drivers to get out. I suppose one of our people parked a little too far in the yard (towards the neighbors’ side) and we arrived downtown only to get a call from someone that had stayed back saying that the neighbor came over and threatened to tow the car if we did not move it. So we travelled back to the house to move that vehicle all of 4 feet. Later that day, the neighbor came over and informed us that we had too many vehicles (as if it was any of their concern. As long as we weren’t blocking them, why should they care?) We just said ok and continued about our business. The neighbor in question has four (4) vehicles in the driveway and yard themselves. Yet they found it necessary to say that we shouldn’t be allowed to have as many. Obviously they are upset that the House next door is a rental and look for any way to instigate an issue.

If you removed the neighbor factor, it would have been a 5 Star stay (as long as you don’t expect the Taj Mahal). It was the perfect place for the purpose of our trip.

The house is very close to another but it really was not a problem after the initial surprise. One driveway for 3 houses but totally quiet yet friendly. We found the house to be very clean and well furnished. We loved the lack of rugs but instead wood floors. The owners do make themselves available for questions. It did have some minor maintenance issues which we reported to them. Overall — it was a great trip, close to everything and

we had a great vacation.

One the plus side: Great location, close to major roads and shops, everything within a few minutes drive. Under 30 minutes to downtown Charleston in the evening. Washer, dryer stove, refrigerator and HVAC all worked. Responsive owners and friendly neighbors. Plenty of parking.

Could have been better: Front door and laundry room door handles falling off, screen door latch broken, impossible to open any of the windows, flooring pulling apart in the hall, 100% synthetic bed sheets (instead of cotton), no blanket found for the fold out couch, not really clean (especially under the kitchen sink), rust on the master shower door frame, way too many cooking pans (it was mass confusion in those cupboards), frying pans rusty, old and small, no hand soap, found clean laundry in the dryer that had not been put away, a soaking wet cotton toilet seat cover (?) was left draped over the deck railing and a broken white chair on the front porch.

In sum, potentially a really nice and well situated property, but the there is a fair amount of deferred maintenance and the cleaning crew needs to be replaced.
