Our villa is situated on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. There are two large terraces. The view from the infinity swimming pool is superb. The whole villa was renovated in 2001.. Every aspect of the house faces the sea, except one bedroom which has its own terrace facing the sea. The lounge, dining room and kitchen are all bright and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, hob, double oven, huge fridge freezer for food (an identical one in the utility room for drinks!) and double sink. We, the owners, have tried to make it home from home so the transition from work to holiday mode begins immediately! The lounge has sofas, satellite TV and a stereo, the dining room a Provencal table and chairs. Outside the kitchen is the patio for alfresco dining with views over the pool and sea. We also have a gas barbeque to make cooking even easier! As the villa has steps and sloping gardens it is not suitable for young children. We also have a boules pitch.
There are five bedrooms.
Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom.
Double bedroom with ensuite shower room
Double bedroom with bunk beds - suitable for a family
Further double bedroom
Bedroom with two single beds
The Village of Rayol: The village of Rayol is a mile from our villa, which is up a hill commanding spectacular views. Rayol has everything from a small supermarket, boulangerie, boucherie, delicatessen hairdressers, bank, post office, chemist, doctor's surgery, cigarettes and presse and of great importance, one of the most wonderful cafe/restaurant's in the area, the Maurin des Maures. There is also a tourism office where you will find a wealth of information, from walks in hills above the villa to the many events which take place during the summer. There is also cycling, horse riding, tennis and golf.
The villa is not available during the winter season. Arrival is between 4-7pm. Departure 10am.
Costs include all household and bed linen, cleaning after departure, pool and garden maintenance.
IMPORTANT It is essential that you provide full insurance for your party for the entire rental period.
Markets and Beaches: Markets about in this area, the most wonderful being St Tropez held on Tuesday and Saturday. The other markets operate during the rest of the week,so if you are a bargain bunter or just love to buy the wonderful food, you can go to a different one every day!
The closest beach to our villa is Rayol about one mile away. There are several beaches close by, Canadel, Cavaliere, St. Clair and Le Lavandou. En route to St Tropez there is a town called Cavalaire (not to be confused with Cavaliere!) which has a lovely beach and promenade.
Concerts and Places to Visit: There are concerts held in the church in Rayol at least once a week. They are also held in Gassin and Ramatouelle (en route to St Tropez) Details of all the events can be obtained at the office de tourisme in centre of the village.
There are many vineyards in the area, where winetasting is obligatory and a great place for gifts!
The Isles d'Hyeres which face the villa are beautiful islands to visit and can be reached by boat from either Cavalaire or Le Lavandou. They are tranquil islands, no cars allowed, but you can hire bicycles on Porquerolles which is the largest island.

About Joyce Parish
We bought our villa because we loved the view. Since then we have patiently renovated it, adding more and more each year. We holiday at the villa every year ourselves with family and friends and never want to leave!
Joyce Parish purchased this Villa in 2001
Why Joyce Parish chose Cavalaire-sur-Mer
Because it is very cosy, comfortable, sleeps 12 very easily, is close to all amenities with lovely views. We first visited this area in 1997 and loved it so much we bought a villa in 2001 and renovated it. We have continued to upgrade the outside of the property, so that there is now a grassed over area, decking, boules pitch. There are 12 sunbeds so no-one has to share.
What makes this Villa unique
The unique benefits are that we completely renovated it to our taste so that it feels like home from home. Various clients have suggested things we could do that we have taken on board. All the bedrooms have hair dryers, we supply all the essentials to start your holiday including coffee, tea, sugar, water, wine, tissues in all bedrooms, soap dispensers in all bathrooms, kitchen roll, loo rolls, cling film, bin liners, foil, etc. so you don't have go to out and get these essential items straight away

As regulars to this region of France, we were delighted to have found such a Nice Property in such a Beautiful setting. The house itself perched above a quiet village in one of the best spots on the Cote D'Azur. Away from the madding crowds of Cannes and Monte Carlo. Everything you need is there and all in perfect condition.
I doubt, you ever get fed up of the absolute superb view accross the med to the islands. Terrific Views are available from almost every room in the Villa along with everywhere in the garden, including the Infinty swimming pool.
Try a walk to the beach or village of Le-Rayol-Canadel. If your not so energetic (you will need it on the way back up to the house). Try a drive to Cavaliere another beautiful unspoilt village along the coast. (This is not to be confused with the nearby Cavalaire sur mer). Or if your after something a little more lively, try Le Lavandou.
There is so much to do in the region for all ages and abilities. Watersports, hiking, cycling, bars and restaurants and not to forget trips to St. Tropez, Monaco or even pop over into Italy. Or maybe even a short boat trip accross to those mysterious looking islands.
For me, I never wanted to leave the house. We have been renting Villas for over 20 years and have to say this is one of the most beatiful Villas we have stayed at. Couple the house with the stunning location and for us, it is our Number one, nothing else has come close.
I cannot recomend this Villa rental highly enough. Everything was 100% form the inital booking through to arrival and the eventual sad day of having to pack up and head home. Mrs Parish is very helpful and all communications are dealt with quickly and effeciently. On arrival her representatives were equaly helpful and friendly. The only pain was as I said, having to leave!.
Go on, spoil yoursleves, you will not be disapointed.
As owners of the property we are absolutely delighted with what Trevor has said above. We have tried very hard to make the villa home from home so that when our clients arrive they immediately feel their holiday has started. The views are indeed magnificent and since Treovr visisted we have had decking installed and finally finished all the landscaping. I do try and answer all queries by return and to give as much information about the area as possible. As a family we go to the villa every year for four weeks and like Trevor always regard leaving as a 'pain' and can't wait to get back. As Trevor says, our agent is French and speaks fluent English. She also lives only a half mile away and is always ready to help if any problems arise. 'We look forward to welcoming you to our villa sometime soon.
A wonderful week in Le Rayol
We had reviewed many times the photos of the house before our arrival, but the reality was far above our expectations!!!
A wonderful, charming house, extremely well decorated and very well maintained, very easy to live in, very safe for young children. An astonishing view over the sea from dawn to dark, from the pool and from the terraces. Crazy ping pong games until late, or friendly Pastis-time petanque competitions.
We had a lovely weather all week, little cool at night, but May in France can be a little chilly. Only one regret: no French channels on TV, even though we were in France !! Anyway we will come back for sure.
We were very pleased to receive good feedback from our client. We are constantly striving to improve our service and will attempt to get French TV for the next time that these clients return!
The village is situated halfway between Nice and Marseilles in a village called Le Rayol-Canadel. It is about l5 miles from St Tropez. The village is about one mile away and has everything from boulangerie to supermarket with a superb cafe/restaurant in the heart of the village. Markets abound in the area with one every day within driving distance. From Le Lavandou you can take a ferry to the islands or visit the local Jardin Boutanique which is in the village of Rayol.
