Belle Folie is a new build four bedroom (all en suite) traditional style French ski chalet situated in the small Alpine village of St Jean D'Aulps, 6km from the resort of Morzine in the Rhones-Alps region of France. This holiday rental chalet is just a little over an hour drive from Geneva airport in the heart of the Portes du Soleil area which offers the largest international ski area in the world with over 650km of marked runs catering for all levels of skiing, and 350km of marked paths for mountain biking, walking and hiking. It is just a 10 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants in the village centre but benefits from the kind of fantastic views and tranquil setting the French Alps are famous for. It has outside Hot Tub and all mod cons, and is ideally situated for activity holidays such as skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, walking, hiking, swimming, watersports, fishing, golfing, and horse-riding. The Morzine area of the Alps has excellent facilities.

Belle Folie is only a short walk from the village centre of St Jean D'Aulps situated in the heart of the beautiful Vallee D'Aulps. St Jean offers a quieter and more attractive alternative to a more centrally located Morzine chalet, but with easy access to all the facilities. Ideal for a family holiday. Saint-Jean d'Aulps ski resort is part of the Portes du Soleil ski area, with 650kms of slopes the Portes du Soleil is a group of 14 French and Swiss ski resorts, and is the biggest international ski area in the world. It covers 400 hectares, 206 ski lifts, and 288 slopes (41 green runs, 109 blue runs, 110 red runs, 28 black runs, and 4 snowcross). There are 200km walks and treks at every level of difficulty and from 30 minutes to 3 days. The area is also ideal for Climbing, Mountain Biking, Paragliding, Kayaking, Canoeing, White Water Rafting, Hydrospeeding, Swimming, Fishing, Pony Trekking, Tennis, Ballooning and Golf.

St Jean D'Aulps local ski area, a 2 minute drive from the Chalet, is called 'La Grand Terche' and is served by a regular free ski bus stopping near to Belle Folie. La Grand Terche offers excellent intermediate level skiing and magnificent scenery. The area is also linked to the resort of Bellevaux and its 'Domaine Roc d'Enfer', with an impressive 11 km run descending back to 'La Grande Terche'. There is an 'ESF' ski school which provides lessons for all levels and accepts children from the age of 4. Younger children from 2 months can use the nearby crèche which has a very good reputation.
