About Alessandro Dari
Alessandro Dari is a Florentine maestro goldsmith and sculptor. He makes his jewellery pieces in his museumworkshop in Florence located at via San Niccolò 115/r, in the Nasi-Quaratesi palace, built during the Renaissance. Here you can admire all of his artistic collections and appreciate the originality of his jewellery which integrates the sculptural process and goldsmith experimentation at the highest level. His work is based on a constant spiritual quest of his own personal experiences, which both nourishes him and stimulates him in the creation of his works. The maestro believes that the art of the goldsmith is a sublime art, not inferior to the other great arts, but an art that has yet to find its well deserved recognition, due to the generally held idea that it is too hedonistic and not at all spiritual. The maestro is self-taught and he has never undertaken any formal apprenticeship in an artistic workshop, nor school. He has, however, made an intensive personal study of the ancient goldsmith techniques of the great civilisations and epochs of the past; Etruscan and Classical art and the Gothic and Renaissance periods. From the 1980s to the present day, the Maestro Dari has produced 900 pieces which are subdivided in collections and are inspired by Gothic art, castles, music, Alchemy and sacred art. Alessandro Dari has participated in many national and international exhibitions and his work has been shown in numerous personal exhibitions. Some of his pieces are on permanent display in Paris and Venice. He is one of the first to meld anatomy and architecture in the domain of contemporary jewellery. The Sacred Spider (Ragno Sacro) is a particularly noteworthy work, on display in the prestigious Silver museum (Museo degli Argenti) in Florence, and moreover, Dari is also Honorary professor of Jewellery in the Architecture Faculty of the University of Florence. His work is exhibited at the Silver museum (Museo degli Argenti) of the Pitti Palace and in the cathedr

Beautiful Location but Expensive Add-ons
We booked this villa 2 or 3 months in advance and paid in full. It has accommodations for seven, we only needed two beds for four persons. We were contacted a month after paying and told that if we wanted linens and towels, we needed to pay extra. Also, there was a cleaning fee of 100 Euros. In the original posting, all of these were covered in the price advertised. I pointed this fact out to Alessandro, the owner, and sent a copy of the original posting. He said, "You are right, let's compromise: you just pay the cleaning fee." Alessandro was very slow to communicate. By the time he demanded the extra 100 Euros, there were not a lot of options available in the area that met our needs, so we went ahead and agreed to the extra cost.
When we arrived, the villa was not as clean and prepared as one would expect when paying 100 Euros. The floors needed to be swept. One of the towels was dirty and we had to make our own beds. There was barely enough toilet paper to last the two nights we were there. There was no soap in one of the bathrooms. The grounds have not been kept up. When the property manager handed me the key, I asked if the water was potable and she said, "No." So we had to go buy bottled water for drinking and brushing our teeth. That the water is not potable was not disclosed on the VRBO posting.
All other appliances and amenities are there, as indicated: a washing machine, but no dryer, a dishwasher and a newer refrigerator/freezer. The decorations are nice. We had a lovely time and enjoyed the beautiful view and sunsets. The villa at Porto Santo Stefano is a stunning location, but be prepared to pay extra if the posting says linens, towels and cleaning are included, also bring bottled water.
The gentlemen have booked online when we were in work in progress with the homeaway webside(as we need to update the rates every year) while we still not including the priceabout cleaning costs and consumptionNOW already included in the total to be paid. for this I asked only 100 euros for cleaning. the gentlemen arrived before the scheduled time for the ceck in for this the cleaning lady had to finish cleaning. I also think there has been a misunderstanding about drinking water. the water is absolutely drinkable, but the cleaning lady does not understand English very much ...... in any case I
leave the number of the public aqueduct water for future guests so they can ask the conditions of the 'water. AQUEDOTTO DEL FIORA 0564 422611. ABOUT toilet paper and soap there are many in the closet was enough to ask .... but maybe even here problems with the language ....... Otherwise I think the gentlemen have not evaluated other villas because the beauty of Villa dari at such low prices compared to the rest of the area have overshadowed the problems of toilet paper ........ As for the dryer ... sincerely with 600 m square of garden ...... I felt useless ..... cmq I will try to take it .....
