The Cottage at Deerleap is a beautifully presented courtyard cottage set in the grounds of an impressive period house in the delightful Hampshire village of Rowlands Castle. The cottage is all on one level and so has easy access. There is a very comfortable sitting room with a large sofa, TV and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard.
The kitchen to the cottage is open plan to the dining area. It is equipped with a cooker with hob, microwave, fridge (with small freezer section), washer/dryer, as well as all the equipment and utensils you will need. There are 2 stylish double bedrooms. One of them has its own en-suite shower room and a pair of comfortable armchairs. The second bedroom has a sofa (which can be used as a sofa bed) and is next door to the second shower room. This is an ideal cottage for 2 couples to share.
Guests of the cottage have access to the peaceful orchard garden to the main house. There is secure parking on the gravelled driveway which is access through electric gates.
Deerleap Cottage is a special place for a family wanting a bit of space to relax while touring the area. It is thoughtfully and well equipped, very comfortably furnished, situated in a beautiful setting on an estate with use of a private guest garden, with friendly, helpful owners nearby. A generous welcome basket awaited us on arrival. Many conveniences lay in the village just outside the gate, such as shops, pubs, train station, and we managed to fill an entire week plus with delightful activities in the vicinity--Arundel Castle, beaches, the Mary Rose in Portsmouth, market day in Chichester, and more. Our family, 3 adults and an 11- year old, were reluctant to leave this lovely rental, one of the very best in the past 10 years!
Fantastic property! Private, secure, clean, roomy - everything you need. The grounds are beautiful and the cottage is very well presented. It was great after a month of travelling to have so much room and all the facilities of your own home. Owners were friendly and approachable, they are on the grounds but don't interfere with your stay. Security deposit was refunded in good time and the property manager - Laura was professional and easy to deal with.
