Wonderful villa with gorgeous pool and gardens in Fornalutx. Free wifi.

An authentic traditional country house on the outskirts of Fornalutx, and a short drive from Soller centre. The finca is located between Soller and Fornalutx, in a lush olive groves area. It's quiet and very private. Birds and sheep live in the property.
The property consist of 2 bedrooms, bathroom, outdoor toilette, fully equipped kitchen with dining area and living room, a/c in both bedrooms and free wifi.

There is a porch with a fantastic al fresco dining area and a second kitchen, and different terraces with stunning mountain views. There is a large swimming pool, umbrellas and sun loungers. Private parking and children playground.

Outdoor area close to perfect
The outdoor area was close to perfect with the outdoor kitchen, the pool and great shadow area. The only problem was that the AC in one of the rooms where out of order and where not fixed during our stay. That is a big problem when the temperature i +30 C!

A tale of two parts
The outside areas of the villa including the garden and pool were wonderful, but the toilet was like something out of the 18th century, the beds were very small and the air conditioning never worked in one of the bedrooms and was intermittent in the other. Also, the less said about the efficiency of the property manager, the better.

Wonderful place!
This is the third time we’ve stayed at S’Olivar Major and it was a wonderful as always. The house is a 5 minute walk into Fornalutx but on the very edge of the village so quiet and peaceful and not overlooked at all. It’s surrounded by the most beautiful gardens with 5 or 6 different places to sit. The pool is large and kept very clean with the maintainence person coming twice a week. The views are stunning, mountains all around and Soller below. We saw hoopoe birds and eagles soaring above us. The house itself is very well equipped and cool with air conditioning in both bedrooms. There are plenty of towels including pool towels and a useful laundry area. Everyone at Mallorca Born is helpful and friendly and Mats was on the end of the phone if we needed anything. We feel we’ve found the perfect place and hope to return again very soon. Thank you!!

Visit in Paradise
The setting of this property was so amazingly beautiful and serene that I had a hard time leaving it to do excursions during the day. The house is perfectly decorated with charming Mallorcan accents. It’s an easy stroll into enchanting Fornalutx for fabulous dinners and for groceries. We loved the balcony view and seafood from the family run restaurant going up the hill from the village on the right past the pizza place and the bakery/ Cafe ( great pastries & bread). You can also take the hiking path that runs just outside the gate down to the busy town of Soller (45 minutes) for boutique shopping/ restaurants followed by a wooded train ride to the Port and beach and than a 20 min bus ride back to Fornalutx. Every day when we were out I was very excited to return to our little piece of heaven. An absolute gem.

A piece of heaven in Mallorca
Words cannot describe how exceptional this property is. We truly felt like we had a piece of heaven during our vacation. The location is exceptional. It is located just outside of Fornalutx - a very easy walk into this absolutely beautiful little town. The scenery is dramatic and breathtaking. Yes - the roads are small so I wouldn’t recommend coming with a big car, but the location is truly exceptional. The property itself is so unique that it is hard to describe. The outside is so beautifully designed and decorated. It has a truly enormous outside area with a beautiful, clean, amazing pool. I haven’t spent so much time in a pool since my childhood. The house itself is small, but beautifully decorated and it is incredibly well stocked. We lacked for nothing at all. The property manager was very responsive and the owner even stopped by and delivered a local dessert which my kids devoured. We loved everything about this beautiful slice of heaven and cried when we had to leave.
