5 Bedroom, 6 Bath Vacation Rental
Al and Judie Worthen
About Al and Judie Worthen
We love Nauvoo and loved serving as full time missionaries here from 2014 to 2015. We bought Deseret Heritage Manor as a heritage to our children and grandchildren who have come to love the spirit and feeling of Nauvoo as much as we do. We live in Bakersfield California and make a point of making a trip to our "favorite city by the Mississippi" at least a couple of times a year.
Al and Judie Worthen purchased this House in 2011
Why Al and Judie Worthen chose Nauvoo
Believe it or not we bought this beautiful home sight unseen from a posting on the internet and have never regretted it one bit. The house has a special feeling of peace & when we gather here together as an extended family there is no bickering between our 13 grandchildren--only lots of laughter and love. We don't have pioneer heritage and are both converts to the LDS church but the spirit of Nauvoo rings true in our hearts. We hope you can feel it too during your stay.
What makes this House unique
We have tried to furnish our home with uplifting sayings and pictures that will help bring the spirit of Nauvoo into your lives. The view from the high windows in the living area are wonderful--you can even see a full moon without going outside!!

Great home! It was perfect in every aspect!
The property was beautiful a
and wonderfully clean. Fully stocked kitchen with a toaster and a blender. Has trash bags and dish washing supplies.
Quiet neighborhood close to the downtown Nauvoo area. Just one glitch. For us as a singles group...parking for 6 or 8 is you are creative. No street parking...so some off site parking was needed. But if you are coming as a family...parking should be great!
They provide all bed linens and blankets, towels/wascloths and soap. Bring shampoo, conditioner and lotion with you.
Would highly recommend!!!!
Thank you for your kind review. Our Deseret Heritage Manor truly has the sweet spirit of Nauvoo. We are so glad that you all enjoyed your stay. Thank you again.

Second stay. Thanks for a wonderful place for our group.
We had a group of twenty stay here for two nights. there is LOTS of room to stretch out, and the location is convenient. This is our second year staying here and will stay again if we get the chance. Judy was great at keeping in touch and answering our questions quickly
This was a great property for our family reunion. The kitchen was well stocked for a large group. Also enjoyed the outdoor space and shaded yard. Lots of space for everyone. Thank you.
So glad you enjoyed your stay in ‘Ol Nauvoo. It’s one of our favorite
places in the whole wide world.
Makes it easy to stay in Nauvoo
Conveniently close and comfortable for large family gatherings. Wonderful owners to work with. Thank you!
We had 20 people who stayed at the house and we were very comfortable. There is more than enough space to accommodate everyone. And it was clean!
A great stay in Nauvoo with18 family members (counting two babies)
We were hoping to have more of our family come to visit us for the three days we occupied this home, which would accommodate more than our number. Everyone was very pleased with the ample room for our group, providing privacy where needed for each family. Kitchen facilities were very good. One chair had a problem, fixable with some glue and a couple of screws. The grassy area in back was enjoyable for the younger kids who delighted in catching fire flies. Over all, we were very pleased with the arrangement and would probably do it again in the future.
