About Tony and Birgit DiBartolo
Please check out our business at Dancing Bear Vacation Rentals of Asheville for more detailed information about our vacation rentals! Our family moved to Asheville in 2016 full time when Tony retired from the restaurant business. In 2014, we purchased a cabin in NE Asheville so that we could have a place to visit and bring our dogs. We knew that we would have to rent it as a short term rental to be able to afford to have it. It's has been so successful that since then, we have purchased 5 more vacation rental properties and now devote our time to renting and maintaining those properties. We enjoy the communication with travelers and being able to provide a great place to stay in Asheville that's pet friendly, convenient and reasonably priced. It's important to us that our guests know that we do everything we can to make their vacation memorable. After all, we want you to keep coming back!

Why Tony and Birgit DiBartolo chose Candler
Simply put, we LOVE log homes and 4 of our 6 rentals are log cabins. We thought this cabin was so comfortable, the setting so private, we could see so much appeal with what it has to offer to guests. And less than 20 minutes to downtown Asheville!
What makes this Cabin unique
It feels like you're in the middle of a forest, yet it's very conveniently located in a small neighborhood only 20 minutes west of downtown Asheville.

Thanksgiving Treasure Trove
The cabin is exactly what you picture in your mind when you think about a cabin in the NC mountains, but not too far from Asheville. The location was perfect - among the trees, and the cabin itself has rough hewn timbers, a large great room with leather sofas, views from both levels of porches, and a wood-burning fireplace to die for. We hosted Thanksgiving for about 12 here, and the owners were kind enough to give me info. re: what cookware and spices were available. The hot tub was terrific, especially at night when you could gaze up at the stars. The driveway is steep, no doubt, but there is actually some level ground for playing catch.
The beds were all very comfortable, and the WIFI worked consistently. I would recommend a space heater in the downstairs master suite. It's obvious that the owners love the property and enjoy renting it! We look forward to coming back.
This is a place you will want to stay!
This was by far my most easiest and enjoyable vacation experience I have had in a long time. The place was beautiful and exactly as described. The Owners were great to work with and were very thoughtful in their hospitality! It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed are stay here and hope we get the chance to come back and stay with them again! Well done.
The cabin was so inviting and comfortable. We loved the upstairs bedroom! Being able to watch the falling leaves from bed was heaven! It was a great place to bring our two dogs. They enjoyed the yard and we loved that they had so much space to run free - from front porch to back deck all secured by a fence. I appreciated that there was an elevated food dish for the dogs.
The cabin was very convenient to downtown and to Biltmore Village. Depending on traffic it was 20 to 30 minutes.
Thank you for the bottle of wine and doggy bone at check in! We would love to visit again!
Secluded Cabin close to Asheville
This cabin was great. It looks exactly as pictured but seemed even more spacious. All three bedrooms are on different floors so complete privacy. Even the loft was large enough to dress without a problem. The instructions for use of the property were clear (although we couldn't find any kindling and the branches on the property itself were soaked from the previous days rain). The wood stove is small and although logs were available on the hearth, I would suggest bringing a couple of dura flame logs instead. The wine glasses, glasses and mugs were first class and in generous supply. Basic dishes also; but we found zero serving bowls nor a bowl big enough to make a salad in. There were, however, lots of pans and pots. We weren't planning to do a lot of cooking, so that wasn't an issue, but it seemed supplying so many pots indicated cooking food, which would be difficult to serve without some bowls. Hopefuly the owners will remedy this oversight. The driveway is tricky, especially at night and some reflectors along it would have been very helpful. We didn't use the hot tub or washer but there were supplies for the dishwasher as well as coffee filters and a starter group of K cups.
The location near West Asheville was ideal and easy to access the local highways. It seemed a country setting but very convenient to restaurants, groceries and Asheville. We all enjoyed the week and would not hesitate to rebook or recommend it highly to friends.
Hi Sharon, We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at Pine Tree cabin! We appreciate the heads up with regard to the mixing bowls and driveway reflectors. Things can sometimes disappear without us noticing right away so it's really helpful to know when commonplace items are missing so that we can replace them immediately! We will definitely get reflectors for the sides of the driveway as per your suggestion. For the woodstove, we typically don't supply wood kindling, but instead put out a few cubes of duraflame firestart. Thanks again for the suggestions and we look forward to your return!
We had an amazing visit and the cabin was above our expectations! Everything was perfectly clean and beautifully furnished/decorated! We would definitely love to come back again and highly recommend!
Asheville in September
