Arizona Chalet Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft + Gameroom, 2 Baths, 6 beds

HANDY LOCATION at the entrance to Kachina Village, 6 miles south of Flagstaff on I-17. Just 1000 yds off the freeway, yet private, surrounded by pine trees with a greenbelt behind.

Kachina Village is surrounded by the Coconino National Forest and miles of great mountain biking and hiking. 45 minutes to Snowbowl Ski Area, to Sedona, to the Anasazi ruins in Wupatki National Monument, and 1.5 hours to the Grand Canyon.

The chalet is a unique, comfortable 2600 sq ft A-frame home. Natural pine and cedar throughout; customized built-ins and special touches such as the sleeping loft, greenhouse, and game room with heated concrete floor. Plus a brand new Dimension One Dream spa.

Relax in the sunshine on the deck, toast your toes in front of the wood-burning fireplace, shoot some pool, challenge someone to a fierce match at the foosball table...or just soak in the hot tub and curl up to read in one of the private corners.

We have a fenced yard to make your dogs feel welcome if they are coming along.

Our rates are based on $210 a night from Labor Day to Memorial Day and $265 a night in the summer. Weekly rates are $1250 ($178.57 per night) winter and $1600 ($228.57 per night) for the summer. Holiday rates are based on $300 per night: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and July 4th.

Why Chris and Jim chose Arizona

We lived here in for 15 years with our two sons and various friends. This is a great house for kids.

We had many large parties with lots of guests: Thanksgivings and Christmases were always here. Our wedding dinner was here. Our friends had a wonderful time staying at our place. When we left Flagstaff, we decided to share our happy home with others, and furnished it with the idea of the perfect getaway. We love the clean air and peaceful environs of Flagstaff, and still vacation here ourselves.

What makes this chalet unique

The surrounding Coconino National Forest, with its hundreds of miles of forest roads and trails. We loved to run our dogs in the forest. In addition to the abundant natural beauty of the high country, we appreciate the crystal clear air.

Our outdoor hot tub, dimension one dream installed November 2015, is wonderful at night, under the stars. We love the warm, rustic character of our classic chalet, which feels like 'home' from the minute you step in the door.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Absolutely loved the cabin! Nothing better than coming back from a long day of skiing to a log fire and a steaming hot tub. Beds were nice and comfy and the heated floors were a nice treat for our pups.

Thrilled with our experience!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Flagstaff Chalet! My 5 year-old daughter especially loved the loft, which she dubbed her "tree house" and the location was perfect! So close to the freeway but it was still quiet. It was also a quick drive to Downtown Flagstaff and we were able to walk across the street to a wonderful park. The property was in good condition and the TV/Game Room was so cozy. We will definitely return. I was a little hesitant to use the stove top, since I have electric and this was gas. We received a wonderful guide on how to use everything in the house, but it would be helpful to add this to the guide. It didn't ignite quick enough for me, and I was worried I would blow up the house, so I skipped using it. The oven worked fantastically, so next time I'll reach out in advance to make sure I'm using the stove properly....this was completely an issue with me, not the stove....just wanted to make sure that was clear. We can't wait to book another stay!!

Owner's Response: Good idea, Sarah...we will add instructions in the Welcome Manual for the gas stove. It hadn't occurred to us. Glad you enjoyed your stay at the chalet - we lived there 15 years, many happy memories.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We took our 18 year old son and his buddy to this amazing cabin for a week during spring break to enjoy some snowboarding and to check out the NAU campus. We all had a blast! The boys absolutely loved the game room with ping pong, pool, foosball and a TV area with heated floors and the loft bedrooms! We were lucky and even got some unplanned snow the first two days. The cozy cabin is perfect and large enough to sleep ten people so we had some friends join us later in the week and there was plenty of room. The game room is tons of fun and the hot tub is awesome after snowboarding and for star gazing...wow! The fire place is great and heats the entire cabin. We all enjoyed sitting by the fire each night and playing games. Even our dog had fun! I would highly recommend this cabin. It is very close to downtown Flagstaff and easy to get to the ski resort. We will definitely be back when our son starts NAU in August!

Great place to get away from the big city

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time, we stayed during the blizzard and thanks to how close the house was to the freeway, it was easy to get out. Place was clean and the hot tub was perfect during the cold. Recommend this place if you head to flagstaff for the weekend.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

This is the third year my family and I visit Flagstaff and we feel we were lucky enough to find this jewel. The owners are fantastic to work with, very responsive if you have a question or a concern, and the chalet is so relaxing and comfortable. There is everything you need in the fully stocked kitchen to make 3 meals a day or there are always great restaurants to go out and eat. There is always plenty of firewood to keep the fire burning if what you like is to stay home and read a book or just relax. My two 12 year old girls look forward to coming back each year and have a blast playing ping pong in the back room and playing in the snow in the park down the road. Would highly recommend this home to any friends or family coming to stay in Flagstaff any time of the year.

Cozy chalet and central to lots of beautiful locations

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at the Chalet for out trip to see the Grand Canyon and Sedona. It was a homey and cozy cabin that we all felt comfortable in right away. Our daughters enjoyed the few inches of snow outside and loved having their own rooms upstairs (they are 12 & 17 and like their independence). The cabin was clean, it's furniture was well worn but that didn't bother us a bit. There was lots of firewood on the site to easily keep a fire most of our nights there, and it really heated the house well that way. It was a great place to call 'home' for the days we spent there. The owners' detailed notes helped us with locating and working things in the house and also find our way around the Flagstaff area, we ate dinner at the Beaver Street Brewery they recommended and loved it! Great trip and we'd definitely would recommend.
