About Billie Webb
Owner build and designed with one of a kind artwork, stained glass and ironwork.
Billie Webb purchased this Cabin in 2000
Why Billie Webb chose Lansing
My late wife and I built the first cabins in the New River Gorge area in 1993. We recognized the need for luxury accomodations in the area. We continued to build until about 2000 when we had 8. I now operate 3 after her passing 3 years ago. I sold the first 5 I built a couple years ago of which are being operated by the new owners.
What makes this Cabin unique
This unique property is only 1 1/2 miles from the New River Gorge Bridge and the New River Gorge National Park. Very conveniently located about 1/2 mile off the main highway, US Rt. 19. The largest outdoor outfitter is only 2 miles away with 4 restaurants. Many more nice dining options, shops and outdoor activities are 5 minutes south. Beautiful wooded setting yet close to everything you may want to do.

The cabin was wonderful. Clean, great hot tub, excellent mattresses and the sheets were clean and crisp. The caretaker Rick stopped and brought us clean bath mats, got us a new set of steps for the hot tub when we expressed a safety concern with the existing step stool, told us about a light switch that was broken and provided information about the area. Very private, but, the road to cabin is steep and gravel. I locked in my hubs cause my trucks light rear end wasn’t allowing me traction. I was surprised we could still hear traffic noises while outside but the wooded area still surrounded us. Close to so many recreational areas, shopping and dining. Can’t think of a negative.
Cozy and clean cottage near the new river gorge bridge
My husband and I stayed at the cottage for three days over the Fourth of July holiday. The cottage had everything we needed and was close to good hiking trails and Fayetteville. With two bedrooms and a loft, it is a great place for families to stay
Nice, clean cabin. Very peaceful.
Great cabin. Clean, peaceful. Easy check in and check out. The only downside is the steep incline of the lane leading to cabin 8. People with compact vehicles with low suspension may have difficulty getting up to the cabin. Having said that, my husband was able to get his Ford Focus up with no problem and I drove my Buick Verano up as well. But our daughter in law could not get up easily.
Get a Run
The cabin and amenities were outstanding. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. The location of the cabins should be marked a little better. The road up to cabin # 8 needs to be fixed. At the very least there needs to be some description/warning as part of the booking or confirmation process. We blew a tire on our first attempt up the hill.
I will say that the property care taker, Rick was extremely friendly and helpful.
Clean, quiet and private
Great place to stay minutes from Fayetteville and the New River Gorge. Just as described, this cabin is very secluded, up on a hillside in the woods. You can watch the sunset through the trees from the hot tub after a day of adventures in the gorge. Would stay here again.
It was kinda tough to get to this particular Cabin because new crush and run gravel was put on the road. The Raccoons raided the garbage can outside the only night we turned off the walkway lights. Quite, secluded , and plenty of room for what we needed.
We are near Hawks Nest and Babcock State Parks. New River Gorge National Park and the Gauley/Meadow river National Recreation Area's. Summersville Lake is 15 minutes north.
