The house was perfect for our group in every way - plenty of space, a number of sleeping options for everyone and a large enough property to enjoy some snowshoeing. And that’s not even accounting for the shuffleboard table, which was used quite a bit over the weekend. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who may be staying in the area. We may even try to book during the warmer months so we can take more advantage of the awesome deck and yard space.
I am so happy you enjoyed the chalet and property. I hope you return soon!!
Clean, spacious, perfectly located
The house was very nicely set up with plenty of sleeping and parking space for our group of 10, plus solid kitchen for all our cooking needs. Shuffleboard was fantastic, and very close to Jay Peak for a great weekend of skiing. 5 stars!
I am so happy you enjoyed your weekend! Hope to see you next year!!
Great Ski House for Multiple Families!
We had 3 families and it could have taken 4. House was well stocked and owner very easy to work with. Held all of our gear easily and was close enough to resort. Was a great stay!
I am so glad you had a great time! We hope you come back soon!!
I have stayed here multiple times in the past few years with my family and this time my boyfriend joined with his 2 small children. It was his first stay there, certainly not his last. We were able to stay in the loft with his children, 2 twins and a queen. Plenty of room to run around and play throughout the house. Waking up to the mountains is breathtaking and having a private lane is great. Close to the water park, as his 4 year old daughter stated "this wasn't far away at all from the house." Clean, comfy and relaxing. Can't wait til next year to go up.
Large House but needs a cleaning
Let me start off by saying that this is a large house with huge rooms and it is well equipped in the kitchen and bathrooms.
However, there were 3 substantial problems for my group. First of all, there is a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the house. It is definitely not a non-smoking house. Second, there is an overwhelming smell of cats when we arrived. It is in the carpets, the couches and generally everywhere. About a quarter of our group reached for asthma puffers as soon as they walked in. We had the misfortune of having to move a couch to retrieve something and found cigarette butts, 3 packs of un-smoked cigarettes, two pairs of glasses (for some reason) and a pile of cat hair. Third, there appears to be an infestation of lady bugs on the second floor. For those sleeping upstairs, the lady bugs were landing on them as they slept.
Finally a note for Canadians, you can't rent this house using a credit card, they require a US dollar cheque snail-mailed. Incredibly inconvenient in the age of the internet.
I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. As I told you in your email, there has never been any cats in the chalet. The owner has no pets. We advertise pet friendly and have only agreed to dogs. The carpet was replaced this winter in the living room. I have no idea why you are saying you could smell cats???
I apologize for the lady bugs. They have been a nuisance lately.
The chalet is a non-smoking house. We cannot control the people who are in it every weekend.
Great house at a great location
Just returned from a stay at this wonderful house over the holidays. The house is very spacious and I think that pictures don't do it justice. I do want to note, however, that there really are 3 bedrooms plus a very large loft upstairs that has beds in it, but I really wouldn't call the loft 2 bedrooms since there are no doors that separate the 2 sleeping areas in the loft and no closets. The house had plenty of space for 4 adults and 5 kids. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to do any kind of cooking and there is a nice gas grill on the deck. Our stay was very comfortable and the views from the house are simply breathtaking. Jay Peak ski area was a short drive away (5 miles).
I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. I just want to make it clear that the chalet can sleep 6 adults downstairs in the 3 bedrooms. The bedrooms are queen size beds. She is correct about the loft. It is open, but very long. There are 3 twin beds and a double bed. The front of the loft has a couch that opens to another bed. It is perfect for kids with a TV for games. There is a shuffle board in the loft and a full bath.
