1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, full kitchen - in 1890 historic colonial revival home
About Matt Bray
Matt, his wife Jessica, and their firecracker of a daughter Ripley love bringing life back to their 1890s colonial revival home near Philadelphia, PA. When not planning "what's next" on the home to-do list, we're still plenty busy: Matt works for a digital marketing agency. A huge chili pepper fan, he also owns and operates a popular spicy food blog - PepperScale - and spice information site - SPICEography. Jessica owns and operates a very popular Etsy store - Pattern Behavior. In fact her custom pillows are featured in the apartment. And Ripley? When our toddler isn't butt-kicking aliens (guess who she's named after...), she's busy bossing Elmo and Cookie Monster around.

This quaint one bedroom was perfect for my stay. Comfortable, quiet and clean.
Great Alternative to a Hotel
If you want a quiet, modern place to stay for a few days, this apartment is a great alternative to typical hotel spaces. A super stainless-steel kitchen, including dishwasher, makes making your own meals possible, and a great mattress in a roomy bedroom offers a good night's sleep. Various TV options and a nice bath round out this apartment's assets.
Only minor minuses kept this offering from receiving our 5-star rating. This second-floor space in a vintage brick home proved to be a good choice for us as we visited with family in nearby Swarthmore. And if you want to visit Philly, this home should definitely be on your list.
Cute, clean apartment.
Comfortable bed. Nice decor. Very clean.
Enjoyable stay in May 2019
We had an enjoyable in stay in this Landsdowne property. We found the owners very nice and quick to respond to any of our needs. The whole unit was modern and clean. The bed was very comfortable. While we did not have to use them, there air conditioners as well as ceiling fans in both the bedroom and main living area. While there was some neighborhood and city noises outside we found the solid walls dampened the sound enough to make it not a problem. The location was good for both travel to Philadelphia as well as outlying areas such as Valley Forge or the Brandywine area.
Updated and clean apartment in a great location
Apartment was recently updated and very clean. Kitchen had all the basics required - refrigerator with freezer, microwave, oven, coffee maker....
Great location for easy access to West Philly.
Host spent time demonstrating how to access TVs features - Comcast or Apple
This unit was exactly as described nd suited our purposes fantastically. My girlfriend and I spent three nights over marathon weekend, made couple of meals, easy drive into the city, rail station a very short walk away, just a fantastic location. The unit was very clean and Matt was gracious.
