Only steps from the sand, this family-friendly villa has an unbeatable beach-front location, with stunning views, large swimming pool, and an acre of private tropical gardens. The beach is pristine, and is in a protected marine park and turtle nesting zone.
The one-storey building is designed around a secure, private courtyard, complete with salt-water swimming pool and tropical gardens. A roof-top sun-deck, with thatch shelter, is perfect for evening sun-downers and magnificent views over the Indian Ocean. There is a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen and an airy dining and living room, but most of the year life is enjoyed on the deep and sheltered verandah overlooking Turtle Bay. The light and airy, en-suite bedrooms are fan-cooled, and open to the courtyard and pool.
Experienced, friendly and helpful house staff will cater to your needs throughout your stay. These include a caretaker, cook and cleaner/nanny who all speak English. Local fishermen can bring fresh seafood to your door and the house is convenient to local shops, bars, restaurants and amenities. A private car is not essential, as taxis can be readily found to take you to shops, the airport and local sights.
We have stayed in many wonderful places around the world, and nothing compares to this absolutely wonderful paradise. It really is out of this world - The house and location are simply fabulous.
The beach is white and pure, and the water is warm and full of life. We all loved so many different parts of our holiday - Swimming both in the pool and in the ocean, walking out over the coral during low tide, long walks and runs on empty beaches, dolphin watching trips, shopping at the little kiosks on the beach, eating superb freshly prepared (by the house chef) seafood from local fisherman and talking to the delightful variety of local residents.
This is also a great spot for water sports, including kite surfing (flat water inside the reef and waves at and beyond the reef with very steady wind is perfect for kite and wind surfing), snorkeling and scuba diving.
I highly recommend this breathtaking villa on the Kenyan coast to all interested in a fantastic and marvelous holiday…
I have stayed at Pasalama numerous times and adore the place, this is my little piece of paradise. The house is well layed out around a swimming pool, which in the warmer months I love swimming in just before bed, under the stars and the moonlight. Bliss - total escapism, The house is literally on the beach, the most beautiful beach in the world, providing long walks on white sandy beaches, wonderful snorkelling and diving, low tides to explore the rock pools or just wallow in the shallow water, high tides for exhilerating body surfing, For the more energetic there is a lot of kite surfing in the area and is reknown for it's deep sea fishing. The staff are very friendly and keep the house immaculate, turning down beds at night, catering amazing meals of seafood (or whatever you like) which fisherman bring fresh from the sea to the door. The sundeck provides a fantastic view of the beach to watch the world pass by, sip sundowners on, or for the early birds, a cup of coffee and the most wonderful sunrises imaginable. And family life revolves around the large verandah, also looking straight on to the beach and a peaceful escape from the noise and splashing of poolside fun. I couldn't recommend this house more - it provides everything you could ever hope for in a beach holiday and more.
The Kenyan coast has to be my favourite place in the world! We spent a wonderful relaxing and happy 10 days at Pa Salama celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The location (the beach is right on your doorstep) and accommodation are first class, the staff very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble.
We took trips to the local dukas (shops) by tuk-tuk - very reasonably priced - and had the most memorable Sundowners Evening on the Dhow. Would definitely recommend this trip - Kenyan hospitality and scenery at its best!
It was one of the happiest family holidays we've had where we could all truly unwind, relax, laugh, take long walks along the beach in the early mornings and evenings, and of course soak up the sun. None of us wanted to leave! Thank you Maureen & Seamus - we'll be back!
