Nice getaway in the Ozarks
The views are amazing here and the cabin is nice and spacious.
Pretty, quaint, historic, convenient with lovely deck views
This was our third visit. Obviously, then, we like it. It is both secluded and convenient. It is charming, comfortable and clean. The outdoor living spaces are very nice. The bunkhouse occupants should possibly not honk at us impatiently and not speak as we walk up the drive and don’t hear the gray Tahoe approaching immediately. I assumed they were the caretakers on the property. If so, they aren’t very friendly, overall.
Otherwise, the cabin is charming, linens were fresh, beds clean, kitchen perfectly stocked, firewood appreciated, views beautiful. The place instantly feels like home. Excellent restaurant meals just two minutes away.
I also love there are coffee filters, pantry spices & plenty of paper goods provided in addition to lots of books, board games
and area attraction brochures.
Love the hardwood and retro linoleum floors. Love the beamed and plank ceilings. The split wall logs are cool, too.
The fireplaces are amazing.
We will be back soon.
Thank you for the overall great review. We do apologize for the bunkhouse guest. They are local hunters that came to have Thanksgiving with family and that must have been someone they know. They were told to use the bunkhouse drive only. That’s no excuse for they rude behavior. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay and please accept our sincere apologies.
Great Location, Breathtaking Views
This is a great place for a group to stay. Well equipped and great location. There are a few quirky things about a cabin this old (chandelier in one bedroom doesn’t work and a glow from behind a locked door, haha). Only real unexpected concern was the freezer required a deep cleaning before using. Short drive to Gilbert for float trip. Don’t miss Coursey’s smoked meats that is walking distance!
We had a wonderful get away. The cabin is rustic and very comfortable. Plenty of beds, tables and seating!! We had issues with one of the bathroom potties flushing. A griddle would be a great addition to the kitchen! And it would have been nice if the one bedroom had regular doors on it (it had two entrances with salon style shutter doors!)Other than that we have no complaints!! It was a great little cabin! We are already trying to decide when we can go back!
Note: Triple D Cabins/Wits End Ranchn is i a dry county so plan accordingly. The closest liquor store is 18 miles north on US-65.
