My wife, three year old daughter, and I had the pleasure of spending a week in this lovely apartment. The pictures don't do it justice -- there are huge views of the city and sea from multiple rooms (including the master bathroom!), plus nice garden views from other rooms including the kitchen. The apartment is very well designed and comfortable. Every room is air conditioned, high tech, and works perfectly. It is conveniently located a short walk from the city and harbor and less than ten minutes to the beach.
We have stayed at several apartments in Villefranche-sur-mer over the years and this is, without question, the best we have experienced. We hope to be back and have already recommended it to friends and family.
We stayed at this wonderful apartment for two weeks with friends and were absolutely thrilled with it from the moment we opened the door when we arrived. It is very spacious with large windows in every room (floor to ceiling in bedrooms and living room out to the balcony) and stunning views from every angle, including the sea, town and mountains. The pictures on the website just can't do justice to experiencing these views - and they are breathtaking every time. The apartment is in excellent shape with all the amenities we needed. We set our alarm every day to watch the sunrise from the our bedroom over the town and harbor. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the balcony EVERY morning, and our evening appetizers and cocktails EVERY evening watching the sun go down before we went out for dinner. And EVERY night going to bed, we looked at the beautiful harbor with the boats twinkling on the water. The location of the apartment is PERFECT - bakeries, restaurants, beach, bus and train all within minutes of walking. The owner was a pleasure to deal with which made our experience truly wonderful. We will definitely be back and in the meantime recommend this beautiful apartment to our friends and family. Thank-you, one of our best holidays yet!
We stayed in this spacious, comfortable apartment for two weeks while we attended the Institut de Francais. The apartment has everything you need, including a well-equipped kitchen that we used extensively. The views of the bay of Villefranche, the Mediterranean beyond, and the cliffs rising above the town are just stunning and dominate the apartment since the living room and bedrooms have walls of glass. We never got tired of the views. We loved the location right next to the port because we were just steps away from more than a dozen restaurants. In addition, the bus that runs up and down the coast to Monaco and Italy in one direction and Nice and Cannes in the other was just a five minute walk and the train station less than 10. I have to add that the owner was a pleasure to deal with and made the entire experience effortless.
Being my third visit to Villefranche, I decided this time to stay in the heart of the old town as opposed to 'up the hills'. I could not have picked better. Dina Palace is a stunning, very spacious, bright and airy apartment less than a minutes walk to the waterfront. You could actually leave Dina Palace and be sat in the restaurant of your choice in less than three minutes, and there are beautiful restaurants here. The weather in September is still very warm (25-28 degrees), so the air conditioning was a very welcome extra after a day on the beach. The apartment is immaculate and has every mod con you could possibly think of, with all furnishing and fittings (fab bathrooms) being of the highest standard - no expense was spared here. There are two very long balconies, one on either side of the apartment, and we had a ritual glass of wine there every evening watching the sun go down. And what a view! There is nothing blocking your view of the beautiful bay and I often sat there just soaking up the atmosphere of the beautiful old town that is Villefranche. I intend to return again twice next year and Dina Palace shall undoubtedly be the place I shall book. Apart from the apartment being beautiful and very central, the owners are very nice people and very easy to deal with. They made the whole process very easy and answered any queries I had - nothing was a problem. I would highly recommend Dina Palace to anyone, whether they have been to Villefranche before or not. It certainly won me over.
Located on the Basse Corniche between Nice and Monaco, Villefranche Sur Mer, dates back to 130BC and is unquestionably the most beautiful coastal village on the Cote D'Azur. There are narrow paved streets, quaint shops, art galleries, museums and a 16th century citadel.
The “Rue Obscure” (covered street) dates from the 14th century, while Chapelle St Michel is in a baroque style from the 18th century. In June 1538, on Port de la Santé, the “Treaty of Nice” was signed between Spanish Emperor Charles V and French King Francois I, with Pope Paul III as mediator.
Chapelle Sainte-Elisabeth, is now an exhibition venue for many local artists and sculptors. For €2.50 you can visit Chapelle Saint Pierre with its hallucinatory scenes from St. Peter’s life painted in the 1920’s by renowned artist, Jean Cocteau.
Diners in the waterfront restaurants, such as the world renowned “La Mere Germaine”, can watch fishermen bring a catch ashore to sell on Promenade des Marinieres, or spot celebrities on the tenders going to and fro from luxury yachts anchored in the bay.
The village square regularly hosts an open market with antiques, local crafts and produce. Elsewhere, Place Amélie Pollonnais is home to al fresco dining in local favourites, Cosmo or Les Palmiers. There is an incredibly laid back ambience as rock stars and celebrities mingle undisturbed with the locals.
The beach is about 150 metres from the apartment. You can soak up the sun with your holiday novel or cool down in the blue waters of the Mediterranean.
Dina Palace is between the village and world renowned Institut de Francais, which is a mere 10 minute stroll.
There is an efficient transport system. The bustling city of Nice is just 10 minutes by bus and the Royal Principality of Monaco, playground of the rich, about 20 minutes. A day bus and tram pass is only €6. The train from Villefranche Sur Mer travels along perhaps the most picturesque route in the world.
For Monaco Grand Prix apartment rental location in Villefranche is ideal. You can enjoy the excitement of motor racing before slipping back to peaceful tranquillity.
The local towns of Bealieu Sur Mer, Eze and St Jean Cap Ferrat are minutes away by car. You can explore by water taxi, rent a boat or scuba dive from Port de la Santé, 100 metres from the Dina Palace apartment.
