This charming and just renovated apartment is located in a quiet street, in the heart of the Famous Haut Marais.
4th floor without lift.
It features a separated bedroom, a living room with with a sofa-bed, an open kitchen with a dining aera. With the confort of modern and refined furniture, and the charm of this this typical parisian building, this is the perfect choise for 2 couples or a family to spend their stay in the heart of Paris.
You will enjoy walking around and discover through the streets and the squares design and fashion shops, galleries, gourmet and artisan French products boutiques.
Twisty stairs made worth the exercise for a wonderful central Paris experience.
I stayed 5 nights with a friend at this adorable apartment. It is incredibly well-appointed with oven, microwave, dishwasher, etc., and all the dishes and utensils a person could possibly wish for.
My friend had the bedroom and I used the sofa bed, which was very comfortable.
The bathroom itself is tiny, but the shower occupies half of that space, and is generous in size. Good water pressure!
The neighborhood is wonderful - filled with cafes and restaurants. There's a little grocery close by, plus a couple of banks, and a big Monoprix about 10 minutes walk away.
One thing I should note is that the apartment is 82 steps up an old spiral staircase. This is not the place to stay if you are traveling with a lot of luggage or are unfit. But if you can handle the stairs, the apartment is the ultimate reward.
The flat is well equipped with a great kitchen and clean bathroom. Very comfortable space for a couple, but can also accommodate 1 or 2 kids as well (couch pulls out to a sleeper) Apartment offers plenty of light and good quality windows so the noise is fairly minimal. The location is superb in my opinion. Just a few steps of Bretagne which offers great cafes, and just a few minutes walk to the heart of Marais. Tatiana was a "superb" host and was always quick to respond to emails. If you are looking for a cute, well maintained flat in a great area of paris, this is it.
This was a wonderful, clean apartment in a very good neighbourhood. The place was ample for four guests (two children, two adults). There was privacy in the separate bedroom, and enough head clearance for my tall spouse! The kitchen was well equipped with new appliances. This area of the Marais is very convenient, with grocery stores, bakeries, butcher shops and take-out food places all within a block or two. The area is also not inundated with tourists. The Enfants Rouges market is right around the corner, and sites such as Notre Dame, Pompidou, and Canal St. Martin are within walking distance. We ended up taking the bus versus the metro -- there are some convenient routes that leave right from Bretagne street. There are some good restaurants located right off the buildings lobby, including the Little Apple burger joint.
The apartment had an excellent location - right in the middle of the action in Le Marais, very near all the nice shops and the popular market, Les Enfants Rouges. Couldn't have asked for a better address.
The flat itself was spotless, comfortable, and quiet. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm back in Paris!
The apartment itself is really nice, with a lovely, new kitchen, large living space, and decent sized bedroom. Comfortable beds, even the convertible bed in the living area. Lots of light and not too much noise (except for nights the cafe downstairs is busy!). The bathroom is truly teeny, and we had some issues with hot water the first few days. Plus that nice new-looking shower wasn't as fancy as it looks. They were also having some problems with a leak from the apartment above, but nothing significant, and they were working on finding the fix. I think our hot water problem wouldn't have been a problem for so long, except we were contacting the guy who had let us in, rather than the actual owner - once we met her we didn't have any other issues. The stairs up were a bit of a challenge (old building!), but the location otherwise was fantastic. Besides- we weren't in Paris to go up & down the stairs- we were out of the apt in the neighborhood most of the time anyway! :)
In the heart of Haut Marais, everything will be nearby: the lovely 'Marché des enfants Rouges', Carreau du Temple with his terraces, the Musée Picasso and the best-renowned Parisian galleries (Yvon Lambert, Templon, Emmanuel Perrotin, etc.) and of course the all-Marais district including the Place des Vosges, rue des Rosiers, Centre Pompidou, Merci concept-store and other high-profile stores (Acne, l'Eclaireur, French Trotters, APC, Ofr library...), the pretty Canal St-Martin (20 minutes away), Montorgueuil / Etienne Marcel (20 min) Quartier St-Paul and the Seine (10 minutes), Bastille (10 min) and St-Germain-des-Prés (20 min).
