The Tree Loft Villas are tucked away in a tree lined nook on Seabrook Island. We loved the location.
Seabrook Island is gated, so we felt secure. This also helped the island not to seem crowded or congested. The island is extremely pedestrian friendly, bike- friendly, and dog-friendly. The beach is a short drive from the Tree Lofts. We particularly enjoyed the North Beach area, which is next to Kiawah Island. Freshfields Village is just off the island, and is a great place for shopping, buying groceries, and eating at a variety of restaurants. Just a couple of miles farther is Bohicket Marina, which also has shops and restaurants. It is a good place to watch the sunsets.
As for our rental unit, Toad Hall, we felt as if we were in a tree house in a tropical rain forest. It is in a quiet area overlooking the golf course. The condo is pet-friendly, and the charges were very reasonable. Outside amenities included a gas grill and access to the owners' bikes, beach chairs, and beach umbrella. The inside is open and inviting. The kitchen was well equipped , even providing paper products, cleaning supplies, and so forth. The den area was comfortable, as were the three bedrooms (2 on the main floor and 1 in the loft). The property manager, Samantha, was responsive to communications. My daughter and I, as well as our 2 fur babies, had a wonderful week at Toad Hall. We can't wait to go back next year!
Loved it...great place for those who want a relaxing get away ..best beach, bike riding, horseback riding .....
The island and amenities are great but this unit is need of major updates and repairs to the property.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review, we pride ourselves in providing a family friendly environment for people to enjoy the island. While I do apologize that the unit was not up to your standards, I wish someone in your party would have contacted us so that we could have addressed any issues right away. Thank you for brining the need for updates and repairs to our attention, we have a handy man scheduled to come take a look at the unit and anything that might be in need of repairs, and will refresh the unit as well. Thank you.
Cute, quiet place to go vacation and not too far from the beach access.
Cottage with view of Golf Course
Toad Hall sits on a back street among Live Oaks and palm trees. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, (I would count the loft as a bedroom) and all have adjoining bathrooms. Toad Hall is beautifully decorated with paintings of the area and fine crafts. A large window in the living room gives a clear view of the middle of a fairway on the golf course. In fact, the cottage is only a few feet away from the course. There is a small balcony with chairs on it that overlooks the course. We saw deer grazing on the course at times. The house is well equipped with all necessities. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.
The only minor drawback of this rental is the lack of a bathtub. All 3 bathrooms have showers only.
Seabrook Island is a wonderful place. We would certainly love to stay at Toad Hall again and highly recommend it.
Nice Get Away
Overall our stay was quite pleasant. Everything is there you need and communication was very good. If you are planning to day trip in Charleston expect a 30 minute ride to get there, a little longer to get back as traffic can be bad with only one road onto the island. The place is getting a little tired and kitchen area could use a good spring cleaning.
Beautiful Sandy Beach, golf, swimming, great getaway for couples or families. Just a short drive to one of America's top ten travel destinations. History, Arts, Wonderful restaurants, theater, shopping and so much more!
Other Activities: Bird Watching
Golf: Challenge yourself at The Ocean Course on Kiawah! Also over 40 courses in the greater Charleston Area!
