Best Christmas Vacation Ever

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this cabin. It is very clean and spacious. The owner was very flexible with out schedule and timing and we are renting this cabin again this year. My kids and I had wonderful memories. It snowed on the day we arrived and it was beautiful. If you are looking for a little serenity and away from the crowds peaceful vacation - this is the cabin for you. It is worth the drive to the slopes which aren't that far and the local town is small but has everything you would need for your vacation. We loved it!!!

Still. Remote. Serene.

A delightful, welcoming cabin in a lovely, secluded setting. It reminds me "how wonderful it is to do nothing, and then rest afterwards."

A log home gem in the Green Mountains

  • 4 of 5

4.5 We recently stayed in the log home near Granville and Rochester,VT, and very happily so. The impressive, huge logs and the design of the home gave a very spacious, yet cozy feeling while surrounded by the forest. Save for a few spider webs, which may have appeared after the cleaning crew cleared the prior ones away, the property was comfortable and homey. We hope to return to the home away from home next summer for the music camp that brought us to the area this year. My grandchildren enjoyed swimming in the White River a few miles away on a hot summer afternoon.

Great house, quiet area

  • 5 of 5

Property was awesome. The area was more remote than we planned. The only place to go out for a night out was D’s Doghouse and they pretty much turned us away and we felt uncomfortable. Luckily the house was amazing and we were able to enjoy a nice dinner in and a fire which the owner supplied an endless amount of wood! Very clean and owner was very helpful and answered any questions we had right away.

Wonderful every time

  • 5 of 5

We have come to this cabin three years in a row in early January with a group of friends. It is spacious yet cozy, its kitchen is well stocked, there are fun surprises in the board games and books.

Some of the appliances are aging, and there is almost no insulation, though this can be seen as an advantage, increasing the incentive to keep a good fire going.

This really feels isolated, in a good way (but also: there is no cell reception), but (except in case of snow storm, like this year) it's easy enough to get to ski trails, restaurants in Middlebury, book stores, etc.
