My husband I are from northern Ohio (Sandusky and Cleveland). We now live in southeastern Ohio where we have lived for 22 years, and are raising our 2 children. My husband received his undergraduate degree at Michigan State, and finished his doctorate at Ohio State. I attended Ohio State and Columbus State where I received a degree in Medical Technology. We are both very active in our community, with the hope we are leaving it a better place to live and work.
Norah Ginty purchased this condo in 2004
My husband and I had been vacationing in Myrtle Beach since 1992. When we started our family we continued to vacation there. In 2004 we were finally ready to purchase a condo that we really wanted to call a home, away from home. When I traveled to Myrtle Beach to look at condos for sale, I stayed at Arcadian Dunes. I was so impressed with the layout of the condo and amenities Arcadian Dunes offered, and its proximity to attractions, restaurants and entertainment, I used it as my "measuring stick" against all condos I viewed over two and a half days. Needless to say, none stood up against it. The HOA has constantly made improvements and upgrades to the grounds in the 11 years we have owned our condo. We also have continued to make improvements of our own to our unit. Our condo has undergone one minor and one major face lift in the time we have owned it. The major upgrades were made in May 2014. When we bought our condo, our kids were 8 and 4. Never did we hear them say "we're bored!" Our children are now 19 and 16 and they still look forward to vacationing in Myrtle Beach. We have immensely enjoyed our condo and the area amenities. We hope sincerely hope your travels dreams start here, and you leave with awesome family memories.
Great outlet shopping is only a 5 min drive away at Tanger Oulet Mall. Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing have all the shopping, dining and childrens activities to enhance your stay in Myrtle Beach. The public access beach is only a 5 minute walk from the condo, located next to the longest pier on the east coast, Apache Pier. Fine dining and entertainment are yours at Croakers restaurant located at the base of Apache Pier. One day and multi day fishing licenses as well as pole rental are available year round. The beach is patrolled by local law enforcement from dawn to dusk and is cleaned and combed daily. Located across from Broadway at the Beach (BATB), you will find fun family entertainment at NASCAR raceway for adults and children, and Myrtle Waves water park. Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe, and Key West Grill, all located at BATB, offer some of the best family dining in Myrtle Beach.
Myrtle Beach is the destination in South Carolina for relaxing, shopping, family friendly activities or doing absolutely nothing. For those who must shop Tanger Outlet Mall is 1 mile away. Be sure to grab a coupon book at guest relations. Broadway at the Beach on 17 bypass is also a must. Great food, shopping, rides and feeding fish await you. The Aquarium and MagiQuest are great family time attractions that will thrill kids and adults of all ages. MagiQuest is my favorite activity with kids. I love Key West Grill Restaurant. You can sit inside or out and dine on seafood, chicken and steaks all prepared to perfection. The shopping areas have fun and eclectic shops interspersed with Ron John Surf Shop, Rack Room Shoes and The Mole Hole. If fishing is your thing I recommend buying a one day or 3 day fishing pass at Apache Pier, the longest pier in South Carolina. From Apache Pier, you have a front seat view of small dolphin pods following fish. The condo is a 5 minute walk to a public access beach that stretches for miles in both directions. When coming off the beach after a wonderful time sunning, reading, bodysurfing or making sandcastles, stop at Flip Flopz for a snack and a drink. The inside, outside seating with flat screen TV's will appeal to hungry and thirsty adults and kids. If you forgot an essential or just need a few groceries, Kroger and Walmart are less than a mile away. If dining out suits you better, Restaurant Row (from the top of Lake Arrowhead north for about 7 miles) has everything your palate craves from all you can eat buffets at Bennetts Calabash Seafood, to Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and American fare. Myrtle Beach is a golfing mecca with over 100 courses to choose from. There are also over 50 mini and putt putt golf courses to choose from. For the fitness conscious, there is a running path 0.1 miles from the condo that flanks a golf course, running at the beach and a brand new YMCA for upper and lower body weight lifting. Be sure to bring your bikes and plan to ride the Swamp Fox Passage/Palmetto trail with its 42 miles of low flat path perfect for beginner riders and runners. Huntington Beach State Park located just south of Myrtle Beach offers a 26 mile trail that links to Litchfield Beach. If you prefer to stay closer, you can ride on the beach before 10 am and after 5 pm during peak season or all day after Labor Day. Keep in mind low tide is when you want to ride. Available on site are tennis courts and shuffleboard court. There are many businesses available for parasailing, wave riding and banana boating, deepsea fishing and a casino gambling boat. There is so much more to see and do. Come to Myrtle Beach with dreams and leave with memories.
