We are beside the beautiful Lettergesh beach made famous by the hero racing scenes in john Wayne film the quite man. this is a safe farmer friendly location where you can refresh yourself. we don't promise 30 degree heat but can reach a high of 20/22 with a breeze from the Atlantic, a place where every day can be a fun day. ideal for walking, climbing, fishing, swimming, cycling, and just great for relaxing in a beautiful location.
safe, friendly, underdeveloped
Great time in an absolutely beautiful place. Only thing missing was the weather. Could not fault holiday home and views were amazing.
Our extended family of 11 stayed at this fabulous house. It was exactly what it claimed to be and more. Spotlessly clean, spacious and very well equipped. We loved the location...the beach was steps away and so beautiful. Easy hikes along the beach or up behind the home for magnificent views. Close proximity to the lovely villages of Letterfrack and Clifden. We especially enjoyed Kylemore Abbey , pitch and putt and horse back riding in Cleggan. Gerald was a great host, very prompt replies to any inquiries and very kind to help with a vehicle issue. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Highly recommended.
We were a family party of 11 eleven spanning 3 generations who fitted comfortably into the cottage and enjoyed a happy week in Connemara.
The beautiful, sheltered beach is a few minutes away across a field on the other side of the road. Even in August we had it virtually to ourselves. The kids loved it. There were other lovely beaches along this stretch of coast.
The grown ups enjoyed friendly Paddy Coyne's pub in Tully Cross three miles away, the charming town of Clifden which is a centre for hikers & other tourists, the seaweed baths at Leenane and the Killary Loch cruise. There is a track further along road that gives access to the hillside overlooking the coast and lends a different perspective to the stunning views.
All in all a lovely place to spend a week. Our thanks to Gerard and his family for their hospitality.
very nice house on a beautiful stretch of coast. Gerard was always very helpful with everything we needed and answered every question we had.
Big and fully equipped kitchen with a large table, with enough room for 8 people. Too bad, that the living rooms sits only 5. But since we were 4 adults and 4 kids, it was okay for us.
Everything was very clean, towels and beautiful linen provided.
We enjoyed the stay besides the beaches very much and had a very relaxing week.
A most excellent home away from home. Really well equipped and very clean.
This was a fantastic place to stay, the owners helpful and pleasant, amenities as described on this page. Be aware that it does rain sometimes in Ireland, so good walking shoes and waterproof gear means you can get out and take advantage of the beautiful countryside in all weathers and conditions!
