Big Island Halii Kai Oceanfront Home Awaits You ! 15B

Bedrooms 2
Property type townhome
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

Vacation Ready Townhome, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

All you'll need is a bathing suit and a Toothbrush as I've thought of everything. Beach Towels, Beach Chairs, Coolers with Ice Packs, Umbrellas, Boogie Boards, Snorkel Gear, Sand Toys, Fishing poles and Tackle, Tennis Racquets and fresh tennis balls, Football, Basketball, Frisbee, 2 Binoculars, Wireless Speakers, Books, Movies, Hand Held Steamer for that wrinkled Sun Dress, Laundry Soap, Weber Grill, First Aid Kits, Baby Accessories including high Chair and pack-n-play. Our Home is Vacation Ready!

You'll talk to the Whales from our Private Lanai tucked away in the corner of Hali'i Kai right on the waters edge. Only a hand full of homes here offer true Waterfront seats so be careful or you could wind up sipping breakfast coffee while staring at a wall, the main access road or even dodging golf balls. Nothing here but crashing waves, Chirping birds and Breaching whales. Take a moment and read the many reviews.

Your vacation neighbors are Charles Schwab, Tom Lehman, Paul Allen (Microsoft) - His Yacht is usually cruising the Kona coast. Also Pricilla Presley, Jeff Kissinger (Me), Bob Parsons (Go Daddy), and Neil Young come here to escape the mainland in their vacation island homes here on the Big Island. Those private Jets on the end of the Tarmac belong to the many Celebs in hiding. Just Don't tell TMZ who your neighbors are !

The kitchen is complete for Thanksgiving dinner and if you must do the Laundry (illegal in some families while vacationing) the Tide is plentiful !! The King Bed, Lanai Table, Towels, Sheets and bed spreads are all Luxurious and new in 2016! We've just added large Beautiful Samsung Washer and Dryers in April 2016

This Oasis know as Hali'i Kai is located on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii's Big Island just 18 miles from the Keahole Kona International Airport. Birthplace of the great King Kamehameha I, tales of the favored status of this stretch of the island are legend. Blessed with a scant ten inches of rainfall annually, most days here are sun drenched and cooled by the breezes of Anaehoomalu Bay.

Experience the private amenities that Hali'i Kai has to offer. Whether it is relaxing on an aqua lounger in the pool, a golf game with friends on a Robert Trent Jones-designed course, or a romantic evening at an award-winning Ocean Grill restaurant, the amenities at Hali'i Kai will fulfill your needs and desires.

Our villa welcomes you with the serenity of a luxury retreat. An open kitchen features black-on-stainless steel appliances. The great room relaxes you with gentle earth tones. The generous private lanai is yours for alfresco dining, 365 sunsets a year !

Total square footage is 1204 square feet.

About Jeff Kissinger

I am King Jeff Kalamabellytoobig and this is my rags to riches to rags story....

Jeff Kissinger purchased this townhome in 2006

Why Jeff Kissinger chose Kohala Coast

I drank the Kool-aid and bought at the peak now I'm hoping you will rent it and help me pay the mortgage ! The good news is I have a partner. The bad news for him is he has a wife that doesnt remember approving of this transaction.

What makes this townhome unique

I don't feel so stupid when I'm there. It is paradise and I hope to retire here. When I'm 93 this place will be paid for. I check our (scratch that) your home often to make sure the home is up to my stringent specifications. On my recent visit I replaced the Grill, bought new beach chairs & beach towels, books, Movies, Boogie boards, and rugs. I purchased Binoculars, a High Chair, and a Pack in Play for your families many needs.

As is usually the case I did not want to leave when I'm here! If you can find the Patron or promise to write a nice review it's yours !

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Jeff,

Pictures cannot prepare one for the reaction we got when we opened the

front door. Your place has got to be the nicest place on the whole island

-- just amazing! We already have memories of a lifetime just sitting on the

lanai staring at the ocean, spending time with each other and drinking

coffee (and beer). I meant to drop you a quick note earlier, but we've

been so busy having the time of our lives.

Having been to Kauai so many times, I wasn't sure what to make of all the

lava on the way up! But we went to Hapuna, visited Kailua Kona and Hilo,

and are really loving this island.

Whenever we come back "home" to 15B, it never fails to amaze me to walk

through those doors and see that view. My expectations were high to begin

with, but it's no exaggeration to say we're blown away. Mahalo, Mahalo!

Very nice property next to the pool and overlooking the ocean.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. The condo is extremely well stocked. We really did not need to get a lot of condiments and basics. We like to go to multiple beaches. The unit had snorkeling, boogie boards, beach chairs, an umbrella and everything we needed to do that. Also tennis racquets, a basketball, and multiple other such sports oriented pieces of equipment. We had a couple of minor issue. The owner, Jeff got on them immediately and got them solved. We loved watching the whales off the deck. Ovreally a very nice unit.

A week in Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a week in paradise! Our home away from home was just that. Clean, quiet and the condo had everything we wanted and needed to relax and enjoy the incredible weather. Jeff had anything we needed to help with activities on the property. The poolside was fun and relaxing at the same time. Excellent wait staff and the perfect drinks. It's a short walk to the pool. The oceanview at Hali'i Kai 15B was very cool. Watching the dolphins and whales jumping was something to see. I would highly recommend this condo and will be forwarding the info to friends and family.

Relaxing Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Hali'i Kai is a great place to stay on the Big Island and Jeff's condo makes your stay even better. The condo is equipped with everything you could need for a vacation whether you want to hang out and relax or be "on the go". The views are amazing and tranquil. The condo itself is cozy and comfortable - great sheets and towels, including beach towels. I can't think of one thing that's missing from this unit. Jeff is a gracious and responsive host.

My Favorite Place on the Island

  • 5 of 5

We put 700 miles on the rental car. We saw incredible waterfalls, beaches and volcanoes. The lanai you see in the picture was my favorite spot of them all. Coffee in the morning and cold beer in the afternoon/evening while watching the whales. Perfect lodging for a family of 4 . We made great use of the snorkel equipment, beach chairs and towels. Unit 15B was the envy of everyone walking by on the path which leads to Beach 49. Jeff was the consummate host. Easy to contact and very attentive.

Fantastic, comfortable, perfect!

  • 5 of 5

What can I say about this home away from home that hasn't already been said? Home is as advertised and more - great quiet gated community, home is loaded with every comfortable convenience one needs for a perfect vacation (keurig, great fluffy towels, every cooking tool one could possibly need, wifi for the teens, beach chairs etc...), to die for views of the Big Island sunset and countless whale sightings, fantastic pool area and clubhouse with restaurant serving requisite pina coladas and fried goodness, and great location close to Hilton Waikoloa, Kings Landing and Queen shopping plaza. My wife and I loved our daily runs to A-bay (must do!) and the hike (though rocky)to Black Sand Beach was quintessential Hawaii. Jeff and Erna are extremely responsive and we felt their Aloha spirit during our stay in their beautiful home. Favorite moments were coming home after a long and fun day exploring the Big Island and hanging out by the pool. After this experience, hotels are a thing of the past. Only downside was having to leave! Mahalo Jeff!

Owner's Response: Thanks for noticing the little things Jim - Is there anything better than a big fluffy towel after a hot shower on vacation in Paradise ?!?!?

Well Equipped 2 bedroom beachfront ocean condo

  • 5 of 5

There are about two dozen or so 8 unit buildings making up Hali'i Kai, of which only 3 are ocean front. This is a ground level 2 bedroom condo in the ocean front building at then of a cul de sac. Because the first condo I rented in Hawaii 30 years ago had paper thin walls, I always ask about noise. This condo is very well constructed with double pane glass windows. Also the location means hardly any street noise from cars. I did not hear any noise from above or outside. The ground floor was actually an advantage because instead of an ocean front balcony the condo has an ocean front lanai with a narrow well-tended lawn between the unit and the lava rock at the ocean shore. To see the sunset you actually have to move your chair or walk a few feet to the ocean side of the lanai, which, of course you can't do if you have terrace.

The master suite has the ocean view and a true ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has two twin Posturpedic beds which can be either separated or lashed together at the renter's request. It faces the parking lot. There is at present an open entrance way to both this second bedroom and a bath. I suggested to the owner that he hang a slideable curtain over this entryway to make the second bathroom truly private to the second bedroom and he said he would do that.

The living room has the same ocean view as the master suite.

The appliance are high end, it was well maintained and well supplied with spices and all the paper products a group of 4 would need for a week. The owner is very, very accessible. It was one of the nicest condos we ever rented in HI and we would rent it again if we return to the Big Island as one of two couples. (The condo would be ideal for Mom and Dad and two kids, but works reasonably well for two couples and would also be ideal for one couple.)

We like the area because of its closeness to A Bay, one of the few places on the Big Island where you can swim in a bay protected by a reef. (Actually we have only gone to the Big Island in winter--I don't know conditions of A Bay in other seasons.) The location is also very close to Hapuna beach, a big sandy beach which is rare for the Big Island. Surf at Hapuna ranges from very mild to ferocious. The beach has lifeguards. We also like the area because it is North of the Kona airport and on previous visits to the Big Island we learned that traffic is very congested to the South of the airport.
