Our story began 45 years ago in California- the next 45 will be in Hawaii!! We purchased a fixer upper home 5 years ago in North Kohala and are still working on the renovation-let's just say we have embraced the much slower pace of the Big Island! Maybe when we retire(again!) it will be in Hali'i Kai 15B-until then, make yourselves at home. We are on island, so please don't hesitate to let us know if we can be of any assistance.

We had taken many vacations to Hawaii and the dry side of the Big Island became the obvious choice for us. Sue has discovered the consistent warmth has reduced her arthritis pain -unlike the extreme temperature changes in California. Perhaps the amazing sunsets, stargazing and mai tais may have also influenced our decision!

Dear Jeff,



Pictures cannot prepare one for the reaction we got when we opened the

front door. Your place has got to be the nicest place on the whole island

-- just amazing! We already have memories of a lifetime just sitting on the

lanai staring at the ocean, spending time with each other and drinking

coffee (and beer). I meant to drop you a quick note earlier, but we've

been so busy having the time of our lives.



Having been to Kauai so many times, I wasn't sure what to make of all the

lava on the way up! But we went to Hapuna, visited Kailua Kona and Hilo,

and are really loving this island.



Whenever we come back "home" to 15B, it never fails to amaze me to walk

through those doors and see that view. My expectations were high to begin

with, but it's no exaggeration to say we're blown away. Mahalo, Mahalo!

Perfect Vacation!

Our unit was great! It was comfortable, clean and well appointed. We were pleasantly surprised that the unit had lots of little extras we weren't expecting like laundry detergent, seasonings & other kitchen supplies that made cooking convenient. We used the provided beach supplies like chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear & coolers daily! & Kerry & Sue were very responsive and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!

Nice well equipped condo with beautiful view.

Condo is in a well-developed complex. Close to pool restaurant and workout room. Condo is well-equipped and has everything you need for the beach. Couple things were difficult but fixable. It took us a while to figure out how to work the Keurig machine and also to work the oven. Overall, we had a great time great location and easy access to many beautiful beaches.

Owner's Response: Rebeccah, I'm sorry to hear you struggled with our Stove and our one button Keurig coffee maker. I wish you would have called me so I could have told you where to stick the K-cup ! I'm not sure if you noticed but we have three coffee Machines in the home, a Drip Mr. Coffee, a French coffee press, and the Keurig. I hope the Manta Night Dive suggestions and the Beach maps I sent you during your trip were helpful. Best Regards, Jeff

Great location in Waikoloa area. Easy access to shopping, beaches,activities.

Best part of condo is the kitchen. We ate in most nights. Wonderful spot to grill fresh seafood or steaks. Great new butcher in Kona! Has local grass fed beef and fresh local vegetables.

Really Loved It

You can not say enough about the condo. The resort is extremely clean and quiet. This was the 5th time we stayed there and we love it more and more. It feels like home. The condo is always spotless.

There are very few other renters in the building which makes it so quiet and relaxing.

Jeff and his wife are great to deal with. They always check up on us to make sure everything is great.

14B, Wonderful Property!

My wife and I spent a very memorable 7 days over spring break at Hali'i Kai, Unit 14B. The property and grounds are very beautiful and well maintained, and unit 14B is the best, but it was the people who we dealt with that made our experience exceptional! For example, we arrived in Kona at 10:30 am but the unit we were staying in was rented until 11 am check out and it still needed to be cleaned. Keep in mind the rental agreement clearly states check in is at 3 pm. The owner, Jeff, personally worked with management to get us access to the pool area and dining so we could relax with a mai tai and some pupus before check in. Kathy and Mary Gayle at the pool bar were the nicest people and were genuinely interested in our wellbeing. Meanwhile the housecleaner was texting me with updates when the room would be ready! I have never felt so spoiled and welcome before. We absolutely loved the place and the people and can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Location and Condo Was Perfect

Our family of four stayed at 15B in late March and found it to be perfect for what we wanted to do. The condo had everything we needed (just need to buy your food) and the oceanfront view from the lanai is amazing (we watched the whales every morning at breakfast and the sunset in the evening). The condo/lanai are so quiet we hardly knew we had neighbors.

We spent time at several different beaches so the toys, towels, chairs and, most importantly, the beach umbrella provided by Jeff came in very handy. We also got some use out of the tennis rackets and basketball. The kids loved the swimming pool, which is <2 minutes by foot from 15B.

It was a ~12 minute walk to the Hilton so we spent time at the lagoon beach and the kids got to swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Quest.

When we've rented other places, we tried to think of anything that would help the owners make things better for the next renters but we really have nothing to add on this one. Jeff has thought of everything and made the whole process painless. He even checked in with us a couple times to make sure everything was OK. We highly recommend this owner and condo. Mahalo Jeff!
