"Above it All" New Cabin Rustic Chic, Views, Hot Tub, Rec Room

Bedrooms 4
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

High above the rat race, yet minutes from I-40, this spacious, rustic and elegant cabin lets you escape Above it All! Up here, you’ll enjoy discovering the special touches that await you throughout this charmingly appointed log home. Whether enjoying the cozy elegance of the four bedroom, three bath, three story cabin or discovering the local attractions that are conveniently nearby in Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Asheville or Cherokee, you will feel welcomed and instantly at home.

Every detail has been attended to and you will find special touches in every room from big fluffy bath towels and luxurious pillow top beds with hotel quality linens; to a graveled terrace in the yard, complete with a fire ring; to hot chocolate and candles waiting for you in the exceptionally well equipped kitchen cabinets; to a deck swing that lets you float out over the endless mountain views, soaking up relaxing moments, above it all.

With so much to see and do nearby, you’ll have a hard time deciding if you’ll spend the day at home enjoying the creature comforts and activities provided at the cabin, such as books, board games, video games, movies and satellite TV on the High Definition Wide Screen TVs (the one in the great room has surround sound), getting family or friends involved in a rousing game of pool in the rec room, or just relaxing in the oversized Hot Tub out on one of the two decks, perhaps after a stroll, hike or jog (you decide your speed!) along the endless country back roads that wind up and down in our area. Among never ending carpets of wildflowers, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife, the impressive ridgeline views of the Smoky Mountains will take your breath away, if the hiking doesn't! There’s even a Civil War period graveyard just around the bend, inviting the courageous to explore.

Just a short scenic drive will take you into the Great Smoky National Park and the Cataloochee Valley where more hiking trails beckon. This valley is home to the only herd of Elk this side of the Mississippi. The elk have been re-introduced into the park and are freely roaming through the valley. Wander and explore the preserved pioneer community while watching for the elk to come down to the open meadows for their morning and evening grazing. There are a number of beautiful waterfalls also in the area and you won’t want to miss the thrill of Sliding Rock – a 75 foot natural water slide!

In nearby Maggie Valley, you’ll find lots of fun activities. There’s skiing and snow tubing in the winter at Cataloochee Ski Area. In the summer, play golf, go rafting or horseback riding. The kids can race go carts, play mini golf or mine for gems among other things. Less than 10 minutes away is the delightful town of Waynesville with all the amenities you’d expect to find in a small city. The award winning downtown area of Waynesville has been restored to its earlier charm and glory, boasting wonderful shopping and dining. Downtown Waynesville is sure to be a highlight of your vacation-it always is for our family. And if you are up for a slightly longer drive, Harrah’s Casino is in nearby Cherokee and in the other direction, a mere 20 minutes away, is Asheville and the famous Biltmore Estate.

We invite you, whether as a couple for a romantic getaway, or a larger gathering of family and friends (we have a network of friends with other cabins within walking distance) to enjoy this wonderfully charming mountain getaway -- Above it All!

Was a fantastic place to stay... Highly recommend!

"Above It All" did not disappoint. Was great inside and out with plenty of room for 7 adults and one child. Had a great time grilling out on the porch, overlooking the hot tub, and the kitchen was very well appointed and had all of the utensils and cooking equipment needed for preparation of other foods not on the grill. The home was very clean and tidy upon arrival. The drive up was easy as the road leading to the cabin is paved. The grounds were wee manicured and everyone had fun roasting marshmallows and sitting around the fire pit. The location was great,in that, it was close to Maggie Valley (the town) and attractions like Waterrock Knob, Cataloochee Valley (we saw many, many elk, including some monster bulls), Soco Falls, and not to far from Clingmans Dome. Cherokee is right down the road, and Gatlinburg, TN is not that far either. The owners we attentive to the few questions that we had and got back to us quickly. All in all, it was a great rental and we would highly recommend "Above It All" to folks who want an enjoyable stay in a great rental property.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Above it All Cabin this past weekend and couldn't be happier with our visit. The cabin was exactly as promised and was comfortable, laid out well, and in great condition. We had 6 adults, and everyone had a nice place to sleep and we were able to sit down together for every meal. The hot tub was great, and we especially enjoyed the fire pit in the back yard. The location was ideal, as we were able to go on several hikes within an hour's drive, and also spend some time in downtown Waynesville and at Harrah's Casino. After our first trip to the Maggie Valley area, I don't think we could have found a better cabin to stay in.

What an amazing cabin home. It had everything and more. The area is quite, peaceful and full of incredible sunrise views. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Lots of towels, linens, extra pillows and blankets. Laundry room, Hot tub, Pool table, fire pit.

The living area and master bedroom has complete access to the decks. Rocking chairs, picnic tables, grill.

Kitchen is loaded with everything.

We grilled, had a large gathering of our local friends, family stay over's and lots of private time.

We are sad to leave!

It doesn't get any better than Above It All!!

If you're trying to find the perfect location for your vacation in Maggie Valley, look no further! Above it All is truly a beautiful cabin in a remarkable location. All of the comforts of home are there, including a fire pit and a tire swing! My husband and I spent a week at the cabin and had a memorable family vacation. Whether you want to sit in the hot tub, curl up with a book, watch tv or spend some time in the great outdoors, it's all at your fingertips! And we loved relaxing on the porch swing! The kitchen has very nice appliances and all the cooking tools you need. I even baked chocolate chip cookies! We can't wait to get back to Maggie Valley and will definitely book Above It All!

Great House

  • 5 of 5

My wife, I and 3 children spent a wonderful week at Above It All. This is probably one of the nicest cabins in the area. The house has plenty of space to stretch out, relax and even hide from the kids :-)

The home is equipped with state of the art electronics for entertainment, fully stocked kitchen, lots of movies, games, you name it. The home is neat and very well taken care of, absolutely Awesome!

You will not regret booking this home but it may be hard to leave.

White Christmas

  • 5 of 5

We just had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful cabin the week of Christmas. It snowed on Christmas day and kept snowing for 4 days. The cabin is well built and beatifully decorated. The cabin is wonderful for extended families to get together at because each of the three levels offers privacy. We would recommend 4 wheel drive cars during snow season. We ended up staying in the cabin the entire week because we were afraid we wouldn't be able to get back up the mountain with a foot of snow on the ground. It was okay though because there were so many games and movies provided not to mention the great sledding hill and jacuzzi. We would love to come back again but next time we'll bring a snow shovel to dig out.
