Wonderful holiday in a gorgeous house!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a great week at this gorgeous house and would have loved to stay longer. The house is located in the typically Tuscan landscape with a great view to all directions. The location is perfect for trips to Florence, Siena and San Gimignano. The building itself is even more beautiful than we expected. All rooms are spacious, furnished with exceptional taste, very clean and absolutely well maintained. Our group of two couples, two young adults and three children enjoyed the extensive and well-kept garden with the pool, sunbeds, vegetable garden and dinners at the beautiful stone table under the vine pergola.

Paola, the lovely owner of the house, was very helpful in advising restaurants as well as activities in the surrounding and made us feel welcome on our arrival. It could not have been better, so we plan to return soon!

Exceeded Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 9 people- 4 adults, 5 kids were here for a week in June/July, and we felt like we were living the postcard of Tuscany. The villa is as described and the views are even better than the photos.

The villa is beautiful, clean and well situated between Florence and Siena. Paola was fantastic and helpful in making suggestions regarding places to eat, taste wine (Antinori- 10 minutes away was a highlight), cheese taste (Corzano e Paterno), and set up a wonderful woman to cook for us one night.

We really appreciated Paola's responsiveness and flexibility and would absolutely recommend the villa to a friend!

Perfect Tuscan villa

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 10 stayed at this lovely farmhouse for a week - 8 in the main house and 2 in the 'pavilion'. It was very comfortable with lovely furnishings. It felt like a real home. The garden was full of olive and fruit trees providing shade. There was a vegetable garden which we were told to use and the tomatoes were delicious. We enjoyed the pool every day and ate our meals at the huge table under the grape vine. It was perfect. The owner, Paola, could not have been more helpful from the moment of booking, she advised us of places to go and answered every question I emailed to her. On arrival, her lovely housekeeper, Angela, welcomed us and made sure we had everything we required. If you are looking for a traditional Tuscan property with every modern convenience with amazing views in a tranquil setting, look no further. We will return. Thank you so much Paola.

Owner's Response: As I wrote directly on the personal mail of my guest , I try to help in order that all my guests feel welcomed and at their ease since the very first moment they arrive . To them being in a foreign country where they don't know people, have no point of references it is important to find disponibility in suggesting nice , interesting, amusing things to do from someone who already experienced them and provides at his best to make home comfortable and welcoming . I am glad my efforts were apreciated but over all effectives.

A stunning, beautifully appointed villa!

  • 5 of 5

Villa Alpertoli is a little piece of heaven! Our family of 8 had a marvelous stay in July of this year. We had excursions planned for every other day, and in between, had time to enjoy the pool, the grounds, the wonderful kitchen....

Paola was incredible from the moment I inquired about the villa, until after we left, and inadvertently left a carry-on bag behind that needed to be shipped home!

She made reservations for us at a local restaurant during a festival, suggested we visit a marvelous silver artist, who created a bracelet designed by our granddaughter, introduced us to a friend who hosted private concerts in a magical grove, where we dined and then enjoyed exquisite music, she responded to our inquiries immediately and solved issues we encountered. Additionally, she arranged for dinner to be prepared upon our arrival and the evening prior to our departure. She was the most welcoming, hospitable and genuinely caring hostess one could imagine.

The house was absolutely lovely. The bedrooms were beautiful, well furnished and the screens in the large windows so appreciated, since it was extremely hot during our stay. The bathrooms were also lovely, and well equipped. There was plenty of room for all of us to be together, to have space, to stretch out around the pool, dine under the gorgeous pergola, and the kitchen was large enough for all or some of us to be much fun!

Angela did a wonderful job of cleaning, and tidying, and Andrea was most attentive to the garden, and small repairs. The pool was extremely well maintained and offered plenty of room for water games, swimming and relaxing.

It was even fun to do laundry, brush by a lavender bush, as you carried laundry to the clothesline, then reward yourself with a plum off the tree by line...what could be better.

We would return to the villa in a heartbeat, and are already scheming about a return visit....

Owner's Response: I usually try to feel as if it was me going to a different , often quite different country .I try to imagine what I could expect to feel at my ease and taking advantage at the maximum from my staying. in this way I try to help my guests asking them what they would like to do and see, and find the best solutions always suggesting something I experienced with very positive results in order to be sure they will have nice surprises. I like decorating in a simple but refined way and I see that the house is appreciated for that My guests find all you need at home as I use myself the villa for my vacations so that I can constantly realize what is lacking or need to be improved to have it always comfortable and ready to any request. I must add that I always found very nice , gentle guests !

This is a beautiful villa in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We had two weeks in late August/early September 2014, taking two separate groups of eight friends.

The villa is beautiful with lovely gardens and a nice pool, great areas for eating inside and out and lovely bedrooms; two couples having to share a bathroom wasn't ideal, but it resulted in a lot of laughs. The house is clean and very well cared for. The gardener and staff in the house are great.

The position, on the edge of Chianti country, is ideal for visiting Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and the Chianti villages.

The star turn is Paola herself. She was absolutely incredible in advising us where to go and making reservations. Nothing was too much trouble. As a result we had the two weeks planned in advance which made for an extremely relaxing time for all.

I am sure we shall be back.

Perfection in Tuscany!

  • 5 of 5

I had been longing to go to Tuscany with all my family for my 60th birthday. In my mind I knew exactly where I wanted to stay and how the villa should look and Villa Altipertoli lived up to all my hopes and expectations!

We were greeted by the charming owner, Paola, who welcomed us with the most delicious lunch! Paola is extremely knowledgeable about the area and has wonderful ideas for interesting outings.

The villa is perfect! Beautiful, clean and relaxing. The gardens are well tended and the pool delightful. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would love to return!

San Pancrazio is an historical village in the Chianti area, inhabited by the Etruscans and in the middle ages and renaissance of the Cavalcanti family home. The house belonged to the Cavalcanti in the 16th century, it is built at the top of a hill, the view goes from the Apuan Alps, where the marble for Michelangelo's David was extracted, to Pratomagno massif, around Which the Arno flows. Rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive trees surround the property, the landscape around Archipettoli witnesses Centuries of passionate labor to create a unique environment as well as to produce the best olive oil on earth and some of the finest wines. Art jewels of Florence and Siena are just a short drive away from Altipertoli. Such as the hidden gems of Passignano Abbey and the Parish of St. Pancras are close by.
