Wonderful central Paris location! Fantastic property caretaker. Excellent, trustworthy owner!

January 2018. We were a family of 4 adults, 2 small children and an infant. Apartment with rustic wood beams and clean, comfortable furnishings. Master bedroom is very nicely furnished. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking our evening meals. Only utensil we lacked was a spatula to turn pancakes one morning. Good restaurants and bakeries close by and I especially recommend La Rotisserie across the mid island bridge on the Left Bank. Two nice playgrounds for young children very nearby. Hallway and stairs to the elevator were covered with a plastic/heavy paper which didn’t give a good first impression for my wife, but we figured it was to protect the wood stairs from the effects of rainy Paris in the winter. Washer/dryer was a real plus with having the kids with us and traveling light. The location was perfect for exploring Paris. Getting to the apartment from airport is easy. If you take the train RER line B from CDG airport (10.3 Euro

p/p) get off at St Michael/ Notre-Dame and take exit 6 for elevator to street level with luggage. Turn right out of the elevator, right again at the street and a 10-15 min walk to the apartment. Owner was easy to deal with and accommodating to our needs—allowed us to give the security deposit in dollars which was returned at the end of our visit and saved the expense of currency exchange and being left with a lot of Euros at the end. Alexandra, was a very helpful super host dispelling my wife’s initial concerns from the hallway appearance with her smile and cheerful disposition. I highly recommend this apartment without any hesitation.

Owner's Response: To clarify, the plastic sheets covering the wood staircase was installed to protect the staircase during refurbishment works on floor above during a few weeks. It has been removed since.

Great Stay

Awesome location and fit our needs wonderfully. We would stay here again for sure. Very nice restaurants and bakeries close by. Easy walking distance to both Latin Quarter and Le Maris. Easy check in and check out.

Perfect location in Paris for first time visitors

It was a lovely stay in a very comfortable apartment. There were enough living space for six adults. Alexandra, the property manager was delightful and very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for our family holiday!

This apartment was perfect for our family of four! Easy walk to lots of Paris highlights! Was nice to have 2 bathrooms (there were three of us ladies), and the living room was a nice size to spread out after an amazing day exploring the city! Alexandra was our contact person during our stay....she was very friendly and accomodating. Would highly recommend Bernard's apartment in this charming neighborhood!

Lovely stay in the heart of Paris

Our family adored our stay in this charming apartment in the middle of Paris. Alexandra met us to let us in and answered all of our questions is perfect English. The apartment is in an ancient building in the center of Ile Saint Louis in the middle of the Seine. It could not be more conveniently located to everything we wanted to see. Notre Dame is just steps away and the metro station is just five minutes walk. The metro is wonderful for taking you anywhere you need to go - quickly and safely - and it was so easy to navigate! I would highly recommend staying on the Ile Saint Louis even for light sleepers, because even though it's in the city, it was VERY quiet at night which surprised us. There were boulangeries and restraunts and little grocery stores, cheese mongers, butchers, ice cream stores galore, vegetable sellers, wine stores, etc. right on the island. We found Parisians to be friendly and helpful - especially if you study the culture a little and try a few French words.

The apartment is exactly as it looks in the pictures, except perhaps the kitchen - it's even smaller than it looks - but we found all French kitchens to be tiny. The two bathrooms and clothes dryer were extremely convenient and a rare find in France. There's no air conditioning, but there's no air conditioning anywhere in Paris except the museums - and that's only to protect the art, not for the comfort of the patrons. We had plenty of room for our family of five and enjoyed playing games and drinking wine in the evenings.

This apartment is a gem! We will definitely stay here next time we come to Paris.

Fantastic location with lots of room and great character.

We absolutely loved the place. Great location and an easy walk to the Metro. Groceries, wine, cheese, restaurants and Berthillon ice cream all very close by. We found it to be bigger than it appears in the pictures and we certainly hadn't expected anything so spacious in a 400 year old building in the centre of Paris. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids (aged 4, 10, 12) and we had lots of room for us and all our stuff. There are a number of local guide books and maps on the shelf that we made very good use of. The owner was great as was his representative. They both responded to all our communications very promptly. We would absolutely stay there again and highly recommend it.

This 2-3 bedroom apartment is located in the heart of the famous Saint Louis Island.

This historical residential area is only a few minutes walking distance from Notre-Dame Cathedral, Marais historic district, St-Germain Latin Quarter, major Museums like Centre Pompidou, Louvre, Orsay.

Fine restaurants, high quality food (famous ice-cream, butcher, baker) and retail shops can be found on the island.

The apartment is on the third floor of a 17th century house, which has kept its original architectural features, such as wood beams, Terra-cotta floors, antic fireplaces.

It is accessible from a code-controlled lobby, with an elevator starting at first floor.
