Campaoure is a Large 4 Bedroom Bastide Which Sleeps 7/8 People

Campaouré is an old country house built on two stone terraces with two over a century old lime trees that shade it in the traditional Provençal way. This is an original family home.

The 2 km crushed stone road that leads to the house from the RD 25 already ensures a quiet and perfect tranquillity for a relaxing holiday with breathtaking views facing south into the typical forests of the Haut-Var: oaks, olive trees, pines, juniper and broom.

It has 2 terraces with stunning panoramic views and the main windows and patio doors provide south facing views over the Maures Mountains.

The house is primarily furnished with beautiful French antique furniture.

The pool measures 12 mtr x 6 mtr with a large pool area including a pool room with sun loungers for those who would like some more shade.

There is a beautiful almond tree which also provides some shade.

There are 4 bedrooms, 1 with bed of 160 x 200 ; 2 with beds of 140 x 190cm and 1 with sofa -bed.

The house has 2 bathrooms, one on each level, both with toilet, hand basin and shower. On the higher level there is a washroom with a hand basin, toilet and bidet.

The house, Campaouré, is situated in a very secluded and calm area, which would certainly be very suitable for painters, writers or musicians etc.

The house has been built on so called 'restanques', these are terraced levels, which may be less convenient for babies/childeren in push chairs.

Notre séjour restera un moment magique et exceptionnel: un cadre magnifique et un accueil chaleureux, un temps capricieux avec lequel il a fallu composer, apéritifs tardifs et échanges cordiaux et amicaux au sein du groupe des 7 (8 avec Fergie la chienne). Tout est pensé pour que le séjour se déroule dans les meilleures conditions. Nous sommes ravis d'avoir fait la connaissance d'Evelyne et Michel, leur maison est à leur image: accueillante et chaleureuse. Nous leur souhaitons beaucoup de bonnes choses pour la suite et ne manquerons pas de faire des éloges sur ce coin de quiètude! Bien amicalement

Delightful stay in a lovely house.

We had a wonderful stay two weeks in late October. The setting is lovely--down a long gravel lane to a beautifully renovated stone house in tranquil surroundings, with long views across the swimming pool and down the valley. The house is suitable for two couples, as we were, or two small families. Two medium-sized upstairs bedrooms, up circular stairs from the main level, open onto a high balcony/terrace with a fabulous view, and share an upstairs bathroom. The upstairs bathroom has no shower, but it is a small inconvenience to use the main floor bathroom shower. Two large bedrooms on the lower terrace share a bathroom with shower. The lower terrace also includes a fully-equipped summer kitchen that surely must be, in warm weather, the center of activity, along with the large pool. One can hike up a rough gravel road to the Col du Belhomme. Bargemon is a town with an economic life: three bakers, a butcher, a grocery, market on Thursday, and several good restaurants. The owners live nearby, and are devoted to their guests' enjoyment of this lovely place, and this lovely part of the Var.

lovely house in stunning surroundings

We are two families of four with teenage children. We spent a fantastic week here enjoying the pool, the garden and the views as well as the superb hospitality on offer in nearby Bargemon. Evelyne and Michel are excellent hosts and could not have been more helpful to us during our stay here.

Perfect house for privacy and relaxation.

Nice, large house with a stunning view and a lot of privacy just like the pictures on the website.

Very qiet surrounding and a private pool in a large fenced garden. The pool was cleaned daily.

Ideal place for daytrips to the coast (Monaco, Nice or Fréjus) or nereby lakes and mountains (rafting, horseriding etc.)

Bargemon is just 4 minutes away and large supermarkets about 30 minutes.

The owners live nereby and are very helpfull and friendly and speak very good English.

We, 2 families with young children aging 10 to 12, had a perfect vacation.

Une maison de rêve !

Si vous cherchez une maison, eh bien je vous conseille celle-ci .

Nous avons passé 5 jours merveilleux dans cette maison de rêve, confortable et pratique avec sa grande terrasse et sa cuisine d'été. Il ne manquait absolument rien et la description est en tous points conformes à l'annonce.

La situation de cette maison est idéale pour se reposer

Propreté exemplaire dans toute la villa.

Et pour ne rien gâcher, la gentillesse des propriétaires Évelyne et Michel que je ne cesserais de remercier de nous avoir permis de connaitre ce petit coin de paradis.

Bref : à recommander sans modération.

Pour les amoureux de la nature et du calme

Nous avons passé quatre belles semaines de vacances dans la maison de Campaouré dans un cadre idéal pour les amoureux de la nature et les stressés qui ont besoin de décompresser, la maison est très confortable.

Ces merveilleuses vacances en pleine nature nous ont permis de découvrir aux alentours des paysages à chaque fois différents, des villages typiques, des champs de lavande, les foires et les marchés ...la gentillesse des gens et tant d'autres choses.

Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le panorama et le calme. Nous avons été conquis par la gentillesse des propriétaires, Evelyne et Michel qui ont su nous faire partager leur amour de cette magnifique région tout en sachant rester discrets. Ils ont été de bon conseil pour nous indiquer les meilleurs coins qui plairont tant aux adeptes de randonnées qu'aux amateurs de visites touristiques ou encore aux gourmets en quête de petits producteurs locaux.

Un merci spécial à Michel concernant le conseil de la sortie à Moustier très joli village

Notre seul souci est que nous nous sentons tellement bien chez vous que nous avons du mal à quitter la maison de Campaouré…

Bargemon is an ancient medieval Provençal hilltop village close to neighbouring villages like Claviers, Callas, Seillans, Fayence and Trigance.

Resorts at the Cote d'Azur like Cannes, Frejus, Ste Maxime and St Tropez are within easy reach all less than an hours drive.

Nice airport is approx. an hours drive away also. A nice alternative to get to St Tropez is to drive to Ste Maxime and go by boat from there. There are some lovely Provençal markets in the area like the one in Le Muy on Sundays and a smaller one on Thursdays, Bargemon on Thursdays, Callas on Saturdays, Claviers (small market) on Saturday morning and the famous St Tropez market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Very much worthwhile too is the market in Cotignac which has lots of local stalls.

Several golf courses like St. Endreol, Terres Blanches and Taulane are nearby and the Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Ste Croix are less than an hours drive to the north.

Lac de St Cassien is only a 20-30 min. drive away.

Cleaning is obligatory at €100 to be paid in Bargemon.

Weekend booking are possible, except in high season, please contact me for the rate.

A booking deposit of 25% is required upon booking, the balance is due 6 weeks before arrival.
A refundable warranty/breakage deposit of €500 is required to be paid to me by cheque or cash at arrival.
