Completely private 4 BR, 4 bath house surrounded by forest, meadows, wildlife
About Adele Tutter
I grew up at Zelený Les, which was my childhood summer home. I now share ownership with my three siblings. My husband John and I have our own home in East Meredith, the next time over. This neck of the woods has a special rural charm; the Catskills are my favorite place to be.
Adele Tutter purchased this House in 1965
Why Adele Tutter chose Bloomville
My father bought Zelený Les because it reminded him of his home in the Bohemian woods, and spent 40 years planting evergreen trees to enlarge the forest. Now you can hike the trails he made through the 40,000 trees he planted. Zelený Les is now forever-wild conservation land, and is home to an amazing array of wildlife. The forest surrounds the entire property, and affords utter privacy.
What makes this House unique
Zelený Les has meadows for widflower-picking, forests for hiking and snowshoeing, hills for sledding, pond and stream for fishing and swimming, and the most amazing star-filled sky for stargazing. The house is comfortable and relaxed. There's nowhere more peaceful.

A peaceful retreat
This is our second time in Bloomville. It's a quiet, spacious, and out-of-the way property. Adele is a great host, communicative and easy to reach.
My sautéed wedding
We had a great time here and everything was perfect. We had my daughters wedding here and everything went well with that. The people in the area are very nice and easy going.Having the grocery store (price chopper) 20 minutes away was very helpful. All and all we can’t say enough about experience stay here and are already planning future family functions here.I would highly recommend this place to family and friends it’s gorgeous
Thank you so much for your review, John! I'm thrilled to have hosted your daughter's wedding at Zeleny Les and am so happy that you were pleased with your choice. It's especially meaningful to me as I too was married there,-almost 30 years ago! You are more than welcome anytime. --Adele
Beautiful and serene.
Had an amazing time at the property. Very peaceful and serene. House is great and the surrounding acres are amazing. Watching the sun fade into a sea of stars at dusk is a sight to behold. Very enjoyable.
Roomy well-stocked house in beautiful setting
Our extended family (teens, parents, grandparents, dog) stayed here while our son participated in the Cooperstown baseball all-star village experience. It was accurately stated as a 40 minute drive... the last 15 of which are dirt roads (or you can choose a just slightly longer all paved roads route). It made a couple days with 7am games pretty long, especially if there was a second mid-day game. Overall though, we loved the house and Adele was gracious and accommodating. Plenty of property to explore and space in which to spread out :-)
I rented this home for the spring break with the kids. The home is beautifull, cozy and spacious with a woodburning stove and 100 acres with hiking trails, a stream and a pond. The dogs loved running off leash and swimming. We cooked all our meals in the large kitchen that had everything we needed including a dishwasher. It was dark and star gazing was amazing. Wished we could stay longer.
The house and property are stunning! View to die for! And lots of things to do inside and out for our families! The house is stocked with everything you’d need for an extended stay. We hope to be back again next year!
