See why Celebrities and people who value their Privacy choose our Beautiful Private Home in Silver Lake Village with very close and easy Ski In/Ski Out Access to the Deer Valley Ski Resort!
Our Private home is NOT a townhome or condominium. It is 1 of only 2 actual single family homes for rent with great ski access in Silver Lake Village. Everything else in the Village is either a townhome or condominium with shared walls, a communal garage, or a private home without easy ski in/ski out access!
We have repeat families who have been coming to our home for many years. Everyone who has stayed in our home has loved our home, our very easy Ski In/Ski Out Access and our PRIME location! After a great day of skiing, come home and soak in your own private hot tub, nestled within the Aspen trees and 100 foot Pine trees. You are surrounded by a stream that we leave running year round so you can listen to the soothing sound of the water while soaking in the hot tub after a long day of skiing (it really is peaceful and beautiful)! A totally different experience than staying in a condominium or town home where your hot tub is often times less than 10 feet away from your neighbor!
Our Ski Out trail is right past our neighbor’s home so you only need to walk the length of their home to get to the trail! For our Ski In trail you also only need to walk the length of our neighbor's house (on the other side) to get to our home!
You cannot compare our private home with the many cheaper condominiums and town homes in the area...it is an entirely different experience to have your own private home that provides seclusion and open space! Comparable properties in our area charge over $2,500 nightly or over $4,000 nightly over Holidays!
Plus, because our neighbor purchased 2 lots and built their house on the lot farther away from our house, we have even more open space surrounding our home! This is why our home is so private!
If you do not want to utilize the ski access trail, we are only a four minute walk, that is, less than 1/4 mile to Silver Lake Village, where you can catch the Upper Deer Valley ski lifts and purchase tickets from the ticket office. In Silver Lake Village, you will also find many fabulous restaurants, including the World Renowned Stein Eriksen Lodge and Spa. Also available in the Silver Lake Village area are great shops and complimentary Deer Valley ski storage, which saves you the effort of carrying your skis back and forth! This is, of course, only if you choose not to use the ski access trail. We highly recommend you use the ski access trail, if you feel comfortable on trails, because it is so much more convenient and enjoyable!
With several boutique shops, restaurants and amenities in the area, one does not even need to leave the Silver Lake Village area! However, if you want to venture out, there is a Free Shuttle bus that will take you just about anywhere in Park City that you would like to go. Not only is Park City home to the Sundance Film Festival, but Park City's Main Street is filled with fine restaurants, quaint shops and chic galleries.
We have recently updated our home! The Master Bathroom has a New Contemporary Large 2 Person Bathtub, a New Steam Shower with New Tile and the Double Vanity with New Granite and 2 New Square Sinks (The picture in the photos only shows the New Bathtub, not the New Shower & Vanities)! We also have 60' Smart TV's wall mounted in the Master Bedroom and the Guest Master Bedroom and a 65' Smart TV wall mounted in the Den/Media Room. The majority of the house is hard wood floors and stone in the entry!
***DESCRIPTION OF THE DIFFERENT AREAS OF DEER VALLEY:
1. Upper Deer Valley/Silver Lake Village Includes:
• Limited Number of Private Homes (our private home is actually one of the very few Private Homes in Silver Lake Village with GREAT Ski In/Ski Out access).
• Condominiums, Townhomes and PUD’s: Black Bear Lodge, Cache, Double Eagle, Enclave, Little Belle, Lookout, Ontario Lodge, American Flag, Bellevue, Bellmont, Ridgepoint, Ridge, Royal Plaza, Silverbird, Sterling, Twin Pines.
This whole area is the HEART of Deer Valley and gives you the best on mountain ski experience. Silver Lake Village boasts some of the highest rated restaurants in all of Park City, not to mention the great boutique shops, The Spa at Stein Erickson Lodge and all the various amenities. Many of the properties in this area have Ski In/Ski Out Access. In addition, it is close to Park City’s Main Street. The only drawback to this area is that some of the older condominium complexes are dated.
2. Lower Deer Valley Includes:
• Many Private Homes (NONE of the homes in Lower DV have Ski In/Out Access.
• Condominiums, Townhomes & PUD’s: Aspenwood, Black Diamond Lodge, Boulder Creek, Chalet Montay, Chaparral, Comstock Lodge, Courchevel, Daystar, Deer Lake Village, Fawngrove, Foxglove, Glenfiddich, Greyhawk, In The Trees, Lakeside, Lodges at Deer Valley, Oaks at Deer Valley, Pinnacle, Portico, Powder Run, Red Stag Lodge, Silver Baron Lodge, Stonebridge and Sunspot (but the ONLY condominiums with Ski In/Ski Out Access are Black Diamond Lodge, Pine Inn & Trails End).
Like Upper Deer Valley, Lower Deer Valley is closer to Park City’s Main Street. The downside is it has VERY FEW properties with Ski In/Ski Out Access and some of the older properties are dated. Plus, the only restaurant in the area is in the St. Regis and you have to take the tram to get to it. Otherwise you have to drive or take the bus to Park City’s Main Street for restaurants, shops or amenities.
3. Empire Pass Includes:
• Private Homes
• Condominiums, Townhomes & PUD’s: Arrowleaf, Grand Lodge, Ironwood, Larkspur Townhomes, Northside Village, Shooting Star and Silverstrike Lodge.
The good part about Empire Pass is that many of the properties have Ski In/Ski Out Access and it is a newer area. The bad part is that it is more isolated and difficult to get to (particularly in a snow storm!) and it is far away from everything! At this time, there are no privately owned restaurants until the Montage opens. In addition, the majority of their condominiums are more like hotel room/apartment buildings.
4. Deer Crest Includes:
• Mostly Private Homes
• Not many Condominiums or Townhomes in this area & The St. Regis Hotel
Most of the properties have Ski In/Ski Out access and if you are looking for a really large home, this is an option. However let us tell you why it is our least favorite part of Deer Valley. It is far from everything and the only restaurant nearby is The St. Regis. The snow is questionable and the freeway noise from the 40 detracts from the ski experience.
We love Park City/Deer Valley and we are both VERY easy to get along with…we want to make sure your vacation is memorable, so we are always available to our renters!
Brad purchased this house in 1994
Location! Location! Location! Silver Lake Village is the PRIME location in Deer Valley--we can walk to all the restaurants, botique shops and Spa at Stein Erickson's Lodge! My husband chose to build our house in this area because of this prime location and the great ski in/ski out access! Plus, it's only 2 miles to Park City's Main Street (now famous from the Sundance Film Festival). Main Street is filled with more amazing restaurants, bars, shopping, art galleries and more!
Our Deer Valley home is our primary residence and we love everything here or we wouldn't live here! We love the easy ski in/ski out access...we think it makes skiing soooooo much more enjoyable than having to park in the parking lot and carry ski gear! Silver Lake Village is THE prime location in Deer Valley--we can walk to all the restaurants, boutique shops and Spa at Stein Erickson's lodge! Empire may be the newer area, but it is so much further away from Park City (especially in a bad snow storm!) and you can't walk to all the great restaurants and shops in Silver Lake Village!! We also LOVE the summers since no one lives in any of the homes around ours...so it is VERY peaceful and stunningly beautiful. We take walks around the neighborhood daily
and we also love to hike around as well! We stayed this Holiday January 2014 for 2 nights at the Montage and we must be spoiled because neither of us liked it at all! We figured it was important for us to know what it was like so we could see why someone would pay over $3,600.00 nightly. Needless to say, we don't get it because we found it too busy with no privacy and we had to walk so far to everything (it didn't feel like it was very ski in/ski out when we had to walk to the ski shop, then hassle to wait for our ski's and boots). We prefer the simplicity of dressing in our ski gear, walking out our front door and one house over to our ski trail! Not to mention, the privacy and beauty of our hot tub and home nestled into the Aspen & Pine tree's!
Dear Suzanne & Brad,
We had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home. The skiing was fantastic and we enjoyed relaxing at your home after a full day of skiing.
We look forward to coming back next year!
We loved our stay in this beautiful home! You wake up to the sound of birds and water. The light filtering through the birch trees is beautiful. Out every window is a picture of trees, green and sky. You are in a little forest all your own. This is a very special setting!!! The house is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. It truly allows for vacation or family time. The proximity to Silver Lake is convenient for summer sports and restaurants. It is a quick trip down the mountain by car to town. (If you want to leave) We can't recommend this home highly enough! Working with the owners was wonderful. They are a delight.
We actually stayed at the house for 2 months & it really was perfect - to get down to the lift (via the "Last Chance" Ski run - which is a Blue Run by the way!) you just walk across the street & down about half a block and there's a trail right down to Last Chance; and the very same for coming home, except it's about a block & a half walk. You're also about 3 blocks from several great restaurants. The house is about 5 minutes by car to Main Street Park City. The house has everything you will need, no matter how long you stay, master bedroom is on the 3rd floor, 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, "mud" room, fantastic kitchen & a living room with a really great, huge fireplace. It's also a great area to stay - easy access to the slopes on Deer Valley, quiet neighborhood that's within minutes of great restaurants, ski lifts (base lodge & Silver Lake Lodge - Silver Lake being 3 blocks from the house) and Main Street. If you rent a car, there's plenty of room in the garage & you can even steam wash the snow & mud off of your car in the garage. Another item that's helpful, with a group that comes home from skiing at different times, is the code panel by the garage - just punch in the code & the garage door opens - extremely helpful! The hot tub works perfectly & is very "handy" after a long day of skiing. Last but not least, are your "Hosts" Brad & Suzanne - restaurant ideas, activities around Park City, where to get the best ski gear, you name it, they can & will be off the charts helpful with anything that might come up.We highly recommend the house - we found it to be the best all around house we've ever stayed that's also ski-in/ski-out - a truly fantastic vacation home!!!
Our kids wanted to play in the snow. Little did we know that by granting this one simple wish, all our dreams would come true. To say that this home is beautiful is an understatement. It is gorgeous both inside and outside. The view of pine trees against the snow is breathtaking. The home is spacious, clean, well kept, and tastefully (as well as comfortably) decorated. Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 2, 4, and 6) had an amazing time! We built snowmen and forts, had snow ball fights, and went sledding; We enjoyed hot chocolate while watching snowflakes fall and listening to the peaceful sounds of the stream - all in the comfort of the beautiful backyard. Our days always began in the gourmet kitchen, our favorite part of the house, with all its modern appliances and beautiful island, perfect for gathering around. We were able to cook up many delicious things to eat - pancakes, stew, pizza and even birthday cupcakes for our son. We also enjoyed reading the various books in the cabinets and around the home. Our nights almost always, ended in the movie room. An added plus is that the home is walking distance to many top restaurants and a short drive to main street and area attractions. The Mariposa and Washo were both excellent restaurants. The kids had so much fun riding the snowmobiles and tubing at Gorgoza Park. We also enjoyed an evening sleigh ride at a ranch on the Weber River that traveled through meadows and woods. But most importantly, the owners were extremely warm, kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful: Gave detailed directions to the home and information on area services for grocery delivery and transportation; Stocking the kitchen with coffee and hot chocolate; Providing us with numerous restaurant suggestions & coupons; researching area activities that would interest us & the kids and always available for any questions or concerns. This is a truly wonderful home. We look forward to coming back and creating many more precious memories.
The home is spacious, beautifully designed, and completely relaxing for adults and kids. After skiing, the kids loved the movie room. The adults loved the kitchen and family room. It is located so close to the lifts you can walk or ski. We could not ask for a better home or a better location at Deer Valley for our family. It was the perfect combination. We look forward to going back. The owners were so easy to work with and courteous.
What an amazing property! Easily accomodating our 2 families (4 adults, 5 children), this was by far the nicest home in which we've stayed over several years of family ski trips. Luxuriously decorated and furnished (with modern appliances and all the high-tech fixings), the home was also incredibly comfortable and convenient. The adults loved the 2 beautiful master bedrooms and the home's privacy, while the kids loved the bunk beds, multiple large flat screen TVs, and the jacuzzi. It was such a short walk to the Silverlake area lifts, we only occasionally took advantage of the ski-in, ski-out access (though we made good use of these for sledding apres ski). And, lastly, Suzanne and Brad were incredibly kind, helpful (and accessible) owners. We will definitely stay here again!
Dear Suzanne and Brad,
We had such a great time at your home during Sundance! You were so right about this location being the hidden secret for the easiest access to the venues! When we've come in the past, we've usually had to deal with getting stuck in traffic constantly. This time coming from your house, we literally did sneak in the back way like you said! Also, the bonus of the perfect ski access gave some of us the chance to ski between movies and events! We also loved that we could escape the chaos of Main Street and hang out by the fireplace at your beautiful home or easily walk to the much quieter restaurants that were just around the corner from your home. Thank you for our best Sundance trip ever!
