Awesome retreat.....

  • 5 of 5

What a spectacular alternative for our family vacation. My wife, 5 kids, and I had a great time at the cabin. Very close to activities like Howe Caverns and Cooperstown which we were sure to check out while we were there. I only wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the cabin itself. I am thinking romantic getaway next time :)

Thank you again for a wonderful stay....

I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is interested in taking in the area attractions or is just looking for some very peaceful time to get away from it all.

Owner's Response: Dear Jeff, We are so happy that your family enjoyed the cabin. It is our hope that children learn to love nature. We are delighted to hear all that you did in the area and also hope that you will have a chance to relax in the woods next time. Peter and I have spent many getaways at the cabin after our children were old enough to stay with Grandma. It has always been a great place to make decisions and, yes, romantic! All the best, Peter and Bernadette

Fantastic for off-the-grid quiet time

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in Peter's cabin New Year's weekend 2016 and had an amazing time. I went with my significant other to escape the noise of the city, and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. The cabin feels very secluded and it's quiet, yet easy to get to. Additionally, it had everything we needed to cook all meals, and watch some cable and DVDs. Definitely recommended.

I went to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend and another couple. The property is just as described and pictured. The cabin is in excellent condition, the wood details and decorations were beautiful. I would definitely go back and will recommend it to everyone!

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

I had a great few days at the cabin. The area is very quiet and peaceful; with only the occasional car passing by on the local road. The kitchen was well stocked with all pots, pans, and cutlery needed to prepare a good meal. The wood-stove was a very welcome source of heat during the cool nights, with house heat available as well. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well accommodating with both the Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. I would recommend this cabin for anyone looking to get away to a peaceful and relaxing area without having to venture 'off-the-grid' into the wilderness. Amenities such as convenience and grocery stores only about a half-hour away. Overall, I had a great stay and will definitely like to return the next time I'm in the area.

Great Relaxing and Charming Place

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have asked for a better spot to "get away" for the weekend. The wood burning fire inside was perfect as the snow flakes fell. Great memories were made playing board games and catching up with old friends. Highly recommended.

Ive been here many time, small to large groups

  • 5 of 5

I have been here with my wife a few times. I liked it so much I booked 3 separate weekends for reunions with friends from all over New York. We are all married now some with kids and have busy city lives. These cabin trips are what our group talk about yearly, planning them and reminiscing around the camp fire. We have started a tradition and plan to keep it going. Most of the times we don't even go into town, we bring in our food and just disconnect and relax, catch up on whats going on in each others lives. Pete is great and easy going, we will be back for many more weekends.
