When we first arrived, we were amazed at how big the place was. The pictures do not do it justice. We enjoyed having two living spaces so that the adults could sit in one area and talk while the kids played games in the other area. The kitchen and laundry facilities made staying here for a week feel like we were right at home. Miriam was so helpful with all the information she provided of activities in the area.
Wonderful property and the owner made sure we had everything we could possibly want and more. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We booked this house last minute as we fancied getting away from it all for mid term. We were simply dumb struck when we arrived. The house is stunningly designed and furnished. The architecture is amazing but the house has a cosy, homely feel thanks to all the little touches throughout the rooms. There are references to love and family throughout and the house is transformed into a very cosy space despite its vast size.
Nothing has been omitted and the comfort is fantastic. We loved the views of mount Brandon and lough gill while relaxing with the turf fire. The proximity of the village was a real plus also. What better start to an evening than a creamy pint of Guinness in Boland's bar before a 1 minute stroll back to the house. Miriam is a very welcoming host and when she told me "the house has everything" she really meant it. Wet suits, bikes, kids games the list is endless. We are definitely going back!
Our family had a wonderful stay in Miriam's house. The location was perfect - we had older family members who enjoyed chatting with the locals in the several charming pubs in town and a number of very athletic people who managed to climb Mt. Brandon, body surf, bicycle and run in a local 10 K race on the beach!
The house was more beautiful than the pictures show. We were all very comfortable in our our rooms and we enjoyed cooking meals together in Miriam's gorgeous and well-equipped kitchen and eating in front of the beautiful view. Miriam greeted us with great warmth on our arrival and encouraged us to use the bikes, boards, wetsuits, etc. It was clear that she truly wanted us to enjoy the house and the beautiful surroundings.
We hope to return in the near future!!!
Wow what a place. The pictures do it no justice. Miriam is an amazing host. She is basically opening her home to you. This is 5 star living. Everything u could need is provided, my kids still talk about the place. Its a stone throw away from beaches, bars, restaurants and shops. Theres so much space and the house is so bright. The beds are so comfortable. I could go on and on. Just book it- I guarantee you wont regret it!! We'll defo be returning. I was celebrating my 40th and now my friends are hoping to book in the future too! Thank you so much again Miriam.
This house is a magnificent detached modern property snuggled in the beautiful village of Castlegregory on the Dingle peninsula. There are views of the mountains, lakes and beaches from all angles of this luxurious property with a beautifully landscaped garden in which to sit and chill among the plants and flowers and enjoy the sea views.
This house is roomy enough for two families to lose each other in its lofty spaciousness with huge high ceilinged rooms that all flow flawlessly into each other by virtue of beautiful wood sliding doors. Architecturally designed, this is one house in which nothing has been left to chance, it is simply 5 star luxury all the way and every angle is aesthetically pleasing with tasteful furnishings, paintings and calming decor.
The bedrooms are large and plentiful and I think we may have lost count of the amount of beautifully calming and restful bathrooms in the house! The living space is large enough to hold gatherings of about 200 with two huge rooms off the square central hall, but it is the spacious kitchen with its banquet style dining area that is undoubtedly the heart of the house with a fit out equal to any restaurant rendering it a truly remarkable home and spotless enough to pass by the eye of a surgeon. All decor is in calming hues of cream, oat and white with complementing rich wood shelving and doors and restful lighting.
Outside, there are seating area's in abundance to ponder on the changing light face of the breathtaking Kerry mountains and landscape, a large BBQ, huge boathouse and children's play-area with basketball hoop.
The village of Castlegregory is a delightful 2 minute walk past the church and is a quintessential Irish town full of pretty little shops, restaurants, pubs and character. Visitors are spoilt for choice for beaches to visit, with about 4 or 5, either within walking distance or a 5 minute drive away. We spent a magical family get away in this beautiful house in one of the most glorious spots in 'the kingdom' of Kerry. There is so much to do both for children and adults, from expIoring sandy coves, climbing rocks, walking vast unspoiled beaches, hill walking, water sports, tasting delicious Irish gourmet cuisine and sitting in friendly bars just whiling away hours of relaxation. I really could not recommend this house highly enough and already am planning our next visit! But don't take my word for it, book it now and see for yourself, I can assure that you won't be disappointed!
