Best of Both possible worlds.

  • 5 of 5

Able to get up in the morning after a great nights sleep and explore country side of olive groves and woods and morning animals on a path adjoining property. Then breakfast and a cup ot tea overlooking Florence in the distance. And down to Florence and all its magnificence on the local bus in charming Fiesole, after which , totally exhausted, back up to the property and a glass of wine and a dip in the pool.

Daniella is great. Did a wonderful restoration job on the Villa retaining its native charm and yet providing all modern conveniences. She is a wonderful host and full of the Italian charm that my wife and I have come to appreciate. Being a landscape architect she has created beautiful grounds and warm and charming living conditions.

Sincerely,

Mr. and Mrs. Allan Boutin, NYC

A Perfect Gem in the Hills

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here! Daniella was the perfect hostess and the apartment fit our needs to a tee. Located in the quiet hills above Florence and with easy access via bus to Plaza San Marco. The house is very charming and the apartment perfectly outfitted. We found freshly ground coffee, breakfast items including homemade plum jam (delicious) and a lovely bottle of wine when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable and the bath spacious and unlike most European showers, it included a bath tub and plenty of room! The property was lovely and even though we didn't swim in the pool it works wonders one evening to soak our tired feet while enjoying the wine. The views of Florence and the surrounding hills are just wonderful, befit with medieval towers and lovely vistas. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you Daniella!

Piccolo gioiello ad un passo dall'Arte

  • 5 of 5

At about 2 km from the villa is the town of Fiesole, one of the most prestigious areas of the hills around Florence, which since the end of the eighteenth century was one of the favorite places to stay by foreigners in Italy and who already bought the villas of Florentine nobility, restructuring them and providing them with beautiful gardens.

The center of the city is the Piazza Mino da Fiesole, where you will find the impressive Romanesque cathedral, Altoviti Palace (now the seminary), and the Municipality. Next to the seminar, a short but steep climb, leads to the Church of San Francesco.

Always near Piazza Mino, northbound, is the archaeological site with the Roman Theater, perfectly preserved, the remains of a necropolis of Roman baths and some other buildings of late-imperial. The theater is home to a theater season and summer music known as 'Fiesole Summer'.

A few meters from the Roman Theatre is the entrance of the Bandini Museum, home to an important and extensive collection of ceramics by Della Robbia.

The villa is only just 8 km from Florence which is easily accessible by bus. 7 Piazza Mino
