Walnut is the biggest house for 5-7 people: located on the first floor of the house, is accessible by an ancient stone staircase from the garden to the north.
Walnut has a large living room with a large fireplace and two comfortable sofas (that become beds if necessary) overlooked by a spacious kitchen with laundry-storage room, and a dining table that seats up to 10 people; the first large double bedroom that having even a single bed, turns into a comfortable room of the boys; and the main bathroom with bath.
The living room leads to the master bedroom suite with private bathroom and shower.
Walnut has a reserved area for outdoor dining and relaxation in the cool garden to the north.
Through a stone staircase, guests can access the pool of Walnut and common equipment.
Giuncarelli farmhouse nestled in the green hills of Fiesole, traditional country villa of 1700 transformed from an old -Torre, overlooking Florence between olive groves and oak woods.
Recently restored with the criteria and materials of traditional Tuscan villa offers comfortable apartments: all independent, with private outdoor spaces and equipped for lunch and relax, all with magnificent views of Florence, the hills of Fiesole and Chianti.
In the large garden to the south are located the swimming pool, gazebo and barbecue for outdoor dinners reached by a comfortable flight of stone from the terrace to the east.
Guests have access to a large car park, just opposite the villa.
The house and location was absolutely fabulous! The view of Florence was extraordinary! We managed quite well without a car using the local bus service. Daniella is a kind and attentive hostess. I do not hesitate to recommend the villa, and would love to return. We got along fine without peaking Italian.
NOCE worked perfect for our two adult couples. Daniela is a wonderful lady and made us feel welcome. Property is exactly as advertised and we would highly recommend staying here if you want to be outside the city. Everything was clean and neat. (Slight must odor in main living area upon arrival)
The property is somewhat hard to find and has a horrendous driveway! If you can get past the rocks, holes and ruts...the house is worth it. A car is almost required. It was very cold at night and we didn't have any additional blankets in our apartment. Daniela indicated that she has additional blankets available if someone asks. The only other drawback is that you are required to remove your own garbage and take it up to the top of the hill (traveling the terrible driveway again) which seems odd since we had to pay an additional 60euros for cleaning. ??? Most places that we have stayed include garbage removal.
Overall, a great property and a very nice owner. Would recommend this property.
7 of us stayed in Noce apartment for 6 nights to attend a wedding nearby
There was plenty of room for a group who know each other well and the villa, pool etc. are beautiful and very well looked after
(the BBQ was lovely, Noce kitchen had a hob and microwave but no oven)
Daniela was exceptionally helpful and very friendly ... many thanks to her.
We managed without a car ... although you need to be reasonably fit and mobile, as it is a 10 min walk up the track to the road and another ca. 15 mins walk (with lovely views) down to the centre of Fiesole, from where there is a frequent bus service to Florence ... and we got taxis to/from Florence now and again, but this wasn't easy and would be pretty much impossible if you don't speak any Italian at all
I would highly recommend this as a lovely quiet spot to relax away from the bustle but close enough to enjoy the delights of Fiesole and Firenze as well
We have spent one week in August 2014 in apartement Noce, in Casa Giuncarelli, with our 2 daughters and our dog. From the first day, the first minute, we felt very welcome. The accommodation is really fantastic, our apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The location, on the hills, a few miles from Firenze was just splendid. Daniela is very friendly and makes you feel at home, including our dog!
I would really recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a relaxing time, in a nice and comfortable place, perfectly located, close to Firenze.
The appartment itself has a separate kitchen and living room, 2 bath rooms, and 2 bedrooms. The free wifi was working fine. Outside was a terrrace with a barbecue, and at the back of the house is a large garden with a big swimming pool. The swimming pool is clean, and has a great view over Florence. Daniela is a friendly hostess, and speaks very good English.
The appartment is just outside the Fiesole village itself (walking distance), with frequent bus connection to Florence. Perfect if you want rest, but be close to Florence.
At about 2 km from the villa is the town of Fiesole, one of the most prestigious areas of the hills around Florence, which since the end of the eighteenth century was one of the favorite places to stay by foreigners in Italy and who already bought the villas of Florentine nobility, restructuring them and providing them with beautiful gardens.
The center of the city is the Piazza Mino da Fiesole, where you will find the impressive Romanesque cathedral, Altoviti Palace (now the seminary), and the Municipality. Next to the seminar, a short but steep climb, leads to the Church of San Francesco.
Always near Piazza Mino, northbound, is the archaeological site with the Roman Theater, perfectly preserved, the remains of a necropolis of Roman baths and some other buildings of late-imperial. The theater is home to a theater season and summer music known as 'Fiesole Summer'.
A few meters from the Roman Theatre is the entrance of the Bandini Museum, home to an important and extensive collection of ceramics by Della Robbia.
The villa is only just 8 km from Florence which is easily accessible by bus. 7 Piazza Mino
