This place is amazing inside! The walls are worn stone and the original timber was used inside. It adds incredible character. The windows open up to a wonderful view of the old cobble stone street and a view of the historic church across the way.

It's well stocked with all the essentials for cooking, dishwasher, laundary etc. I cooked many meals. Hitting the market right next door-fresh veggies, meats and eggs.

You're a few minute stroll from the main square. Pasai Donibane has that old world

feel- you're off the beaten path. Families gather in the square, people know each other and it's fun to watch it all happen and partake at whatever level you feel comfortable. Grab a water taxi to San Juan then catch a 15 min bus ride to Zoriola Beach and go surfing!

Drawback- I like to sleep w the windows open. There are cars, mopeds, people, small tractors that drive by at odd hours. It can get loud and if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. No problem if you close the windows.

Jorge and his son are awesome! They were very kind, generous and willing to help. I'm hoping to come back again. Really a special place. Thank you!!

Lovely condo in a unique setting

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about our stay. The location is a unique village located on a harbor that can connect to San Sebastián by a small boat ride and a bus ride. The condo is lovely and our host could not have been more helpful. We will be telling our friends!

Beautiful, contemporary and excellent location

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic four days at this home. Excellent location to enjoy the beautiful waterside area of pasai donibane, nice restaurants, swimming in the bay, walking old streets. Then is great location to acccess San Sebastián and Hondarrabia and surrounding Basque area. House is immaculate, modern renovations in a beautiful old stone building. Very clean and the Nuria welcomed us perfectly and spoke excellent English. All in all, an excellent place and would gladly return.

Modern, tasteful, spacious apartment near San Sebastian!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of three stayed in this lovely loft style apartment in early June. There was more than enough room to spread out with three bedrooms and two bathrooms with showers. Two of the bedrooms and one bathroom located upstairs. The apartment remained nice and cool during the day. There is some noise at night from the street below, so if you like to sleep with the windows open like we do, bring a pair of earplugs.

The small village of Pasai Donibane was charming with walking streets along the bay, and many nice restaurants to choose from. We had a rental car and were able to find parking each day in one of the three free public parking areas close to the apartment. Very convenient! San Sebastian was an easy 15 minute bus trip away. We also took a nice drive to Bilbao and up to beautiful Saint Jean de Luz, on the coast of France. We always looked forward to coming back home to peaceful Pasai Donibane after exploring the cities.

Owners, Jorge and Nuria, were excellent with communication and getting us oriented to the area. They were also very welcoming, especially Nuria's mother, who made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel as though we were part of the family. Thank you for a memorable stay!

We loved this property, two nights here was not enough!

  • 5 of 5

I would definitely stay here again. Close enough to San Sebastián to whip over to but Pasai Donibane has its own charm as well. We drove up to Biarritz France as well which was an easy and delightful place in its own right. More expensive but the beach was fantastic. Sadly the clouds and misty rain rolled in the following day so we couldn't compare the beach atmosphere to San Sebastián. The only slight negative was collecting the cash damage deposit back. We had to wait on the family member (delightful personality) who lived across the hall and there was a language barrier to overcome as our crew only spoke English. And the shower designs took a few tries to find an adjustment which didn't leave water outside of the boundary of containment it should have stayed in. Extremely small bumps in the road in an otherwise idyllic property rental. The restaurants within walking distance all looked delicious, the one we chose offered us a set menu which was too good to pass up. The local bar closest to the rental was one of our trip highlights. Not expecting anything we rolled in for a nightcap. Through pointing at maps on the wall the proprietor showed us where he sailed to in Canada acknowledging he knew were were were from. By nights end we were worried our patronage was keeping him from closing down as we were the only ones in the perfectly dimly light bar. He just keep smiling and pouring the strongest free pour drinks I have ever seen. I'll never forget this property rental or the little bar two doors down. Exquisite memories in a charming little village👌?

Located in a historic village with fishing tradition in the town of San Juan flights, full of fishermen's houses and stately. This is a two-centuries-old recently restored, combining original building elements with contemporary decor. The building is located between the main street of San Juan flights and the edge of the pier in the bay. Three km. San Sebastian and 15km from Hondarribia and France is a great location to plan trips, and enjoy the local culture. The village is situated at the foot of Mount Jaizkibel, thereby enabling the outputs from one's home environments of great beauty on the coast (Mount Jaizkibel to Hondarribia, and mount Ulia to San Sebastian). In the town itself there is a small bay, in addition to the famous beaches of San Sebastián and Hondarribia. The town is famous for its traditional cuisine, with many restaurants specialize in fish, and 'drifters' traditional rowing. In this accommodation you can enjoy the tranquility of a small fishing village with pedestrian streets, ten minutes from the city of San Sebastian.
