Pinon Vista is truly a one of a kind vacation home in Santa Fe. No other has this much to offer for larger parties. Its a magnificent five-bedroom, four-bath home ready for you and your party to gather and enjoy our enchanted village. What a rare and wonderful find to come across a five bedroom home with 360% views of our mountain ranges while being walking distance to the Plaza!
Relax on your spacious patio and gaze at New Mexico’s famous skies. Experience a Santa Fe sunrise peaking over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the east, a fire-red sunset over the Jemez Mountains in the west and the sparkling city lights of Santa Fe at night. The home is situated on a one-half acre desert lot surrounded by pinion and juniper trees. It crowns a hilltop just blocks north of Santa Fe's 400-year-old historic district.
There are several patios and wooden decks surrounding the house with outstanding views throughout the day. Out of the south-facing, plate-glass windows you can see the peaks of the Sandia Mountains outside of Albuquerque some 50 miles away! Dining on the south covered patio is outstanding.
Weather you are getting together with family, having ?a reunion, a girlfriends trip, a business retreat or just about any special occasion this home fits the bill. Montoya House was recently redecorated in Southwest style with love and taste ?and many interesting visual arts. You will find an entertaining mix of original Southwest artifacts, eclectic local art, and both antique and modern furnishings.
The rambling floor plan boasts a total of 3,000 square feet. 2,250 square-feet of the home are a four-bedroom three bath home. Attached to the main part of the house is a 750 square-foot, one-bedroom 'nanny quarters' with its own kitchen.
So the house is five bedrooms and four baths altogether.
In the guest or nanny quarters you have a full one-bedroom home. The bedroom can easily be made into a king bed or two twin beds. There is a private bathroom with walk in shower. There is a complete kitchen with all the amenities of home including a dishwasher. A lovely natural wood breakfast bar adds to the warmth of the space and opens to the living room. The very comfortable living room with its leather coach and comfy chairs has an impressive Kiva fireplace and flat screen TV. There is a washer/dryer as well.? This part of the house features brick floors and a private entrance and opens up to an unbelievable outdoor patio. Who ever? stays in this part of the home can have as much privacy as they want or easily join the group.
As you enter the four-bedroom part of the home there is a spacious living room with picture windows and a large fireplace. There is a leather sleeper sofa for an extra guest and plenty of chairs for all to gather and stare into the fire or the flat screen TV. Lovely hard wood floors? and original artwork add to the charm of the main room as well as this entire part of the home.
From here you can go into the kitchen/dining area, which is an open space. It has a beautiful table and chairs that actually sits ten people comfortably. ?The kitchen is fully set up to cook a meal for all of you. Do you need a little break from your large crowd? No worries, step out onto two more patios with their own table and chairs for a little meditative quite.
Off of the dinning area are two bedrooms. One of the two is another master with queen bed and its own kiva fireplace. There is a small flat screen TV in this room. Here you will find beautiful bedding and decor as well as a full bath. The shower is inside the bathtub. ?There is a bathroom with large walk in shower in the hallway between the two bedrooms and the third bedroom next to it. This bedroom can be made up into two twins or one king. ?Every room has unique style and charm. Your party will be fighting over which bedroom they will claim for your visit, as one is more charming than the next.
Downstairs are two more or the fourth and the fifth bedrooms and one full bathroom with a walk in shower. The furnishings and fun decor are so Santa Fe. One bedroom has a queen and a single in the same room. The next has a king or two twins depending on what works best for you.
Now this is amazing. Just to top it off there a large work out room with equipment down stairs. There is another washer and drier downstairs as well.
The main patio in the house all of you will basically live in in the summer. Well just come and see it or check out the photos and you will know why I say this.
A note from Wendy Kapp- Owner of Two Casitas Santa Fe Vacation Rentals
Having been raised in Chicago, my soul longed for the massive blue skies and mountains I first saw when my mother, well-known watercolor artist Phyllis Kapp of Waxlander Gallery, introduced me to this magnificent area when I was 6 years old.
While returning west in 1975, I came through Santa Fe and fell in love with Northern New Mexico once again. I found the people here, especially back in '75, to be the most authentic people I had ever met and I decided to make Santa Fe my home. My extensive knowledge from living here for since 1975 makes me the perfect, local hostess to give you tips on making your stay memorable. I hope you come to love Santa Fe and, in-turn Two Casitas, as much as I do.
Two Casitas, Santa Fe Vacation Rentals, Wendy Kapp purchased this house in 2001
Location, location, location is why I chose these homes for our visitors. We want our guests to have the convenience of walking everywhere
Sleeps 13, easy walk to Plaza and 360˚ views. This is a one of a kind property!
When you stay with Two Casitas you stay like a local, not like a tourist, and experience Santa Fe like you live here. Who knows, maybe you will someday!
Just got back from a delightful two-week stay at Pinon House with my siblings, Mom, and a few spouses and significant others. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated, very comfortable, with just about every single amenity we needed (except the automatic juicer we could have used for our ritual margaritas). The views are great, great location (although a bit of a steep walk back up the hill from town), house has loads of local guide books and brochures and maps. There's even free Internet access there (wireless as well as ethernet) with a printer available (handy for printing boarding passes).
This attractive, comfortable, and well equipped home in a beautiful setting worked extremely well for our group of eight women who gathered from various locations for a long weekend in Santa Fe. We appreciated how welcoming and easy Two Casitas made our stay. We did not walk to the Plaza. The views were definitely as advertised!
Wonderful views, great accommodations, very clean, well supplied, good value and a perfect place for our yearly reunion. Short drive to downtown and exceeded all expectations.
Great property. Location and proximity to the city center was great. The view is spectacular and is literally a 360 degree view of the beautiful countryside. Incredible sunset on the last day. Property was great for multiple families and children. Highly recommend
Tastefully decorated and well-maintained home; comfortably furnished with all amenities. Layout and space was perfect for a family gathering of 15 including adults, teens, and toddlers. Property manager was very professional from booking to check in. The welcome snacks and wine were a nice touch! Definitely recommend this Santa Fe property.
Just one note for future guests: the queen sofa bed and roll away were not comfortable, even for those without back problems (smile).
Two Casitas was one of the best rentals my family has ever stayed in -- it was better than we could have ever imagined! There were 15 of us in total staying there (4 of those were under 2-years-old), but it never felt crowded or too loud. The layout is perfect and conducive to large group hangouts and hiding away if you need peace and quiet. We absolutely loved the large table outdoors-- it was the perfect setting for large dinners! The views and the art throughout the house are all stunning. We had such a memorable time at two casitas and in Santa Fe and we hope to come back soon!!!
