simply perfect

Overall a first class property, quite and secluded. Perfect base for walking and visiting local attractions. Simply couldn't fault it in any way. Will go back there without hesitation

Dubh Loch Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful, comfortable, well equipped cottage which is exceptionally well maintained by the owners and the caretaker. We were fortunate to have nightly visits from the Pine Martin in the garden and we were entertained by a large variety of birds on the feeders during the day. There are many lovely walks starting either directly from the cottage or close to it. Definitely a cottage that we will return to.

Lovely stay in a beautiful cottage! Will be back

  • 5 of 5

Had a lovely week. Cottage is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. Simon and suzie were brilliant when we faced a powercut :)

We were lucky enough to see the pine martin in the garden along with a whole host of beautiful birds including a woodpecker!

So many walks in the area. We're very much looking forward to retuning next year.

Fantastic Place

  • 5 of 5

This is the most wonderful cottage and gardens, in a truly beautiful, quiet area. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The garden is wonderful, and the sound of the stream and the birds is a joyous start to each day. I spent a week with my 2 border collies, and there are wonderful walks from the cottage and nearby.......

The village of Balmaha has a local shop and restaurant, and there are plenty of places to explore further afield.

I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and will definitely return.

Truly a gem of a find.

Perfect cottage

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I took our three young grandchildren for a week at Dubh Loch Cottage . The Cottage was perfect catering for all our needs. It is well equipped and child friendly.

We all had a wonderful time especially the grandchildren two of whom insisted in going "gorge walking" in the stream that runs at the back of the house despite the fact that the water was freezing. The garden is large and ideal for hide and seek

The location is perfect for visiting Balloch where we enjoyed a sail on the loch as well as a visit to the Sea Life Centre

The Oak Tree in Balmaha is well worth a visit serving good food and beer

Lovely well-equipped cottage. Beautiful location. Beds very comfortable. Lots to do in the area. We took a boat cruise over to Luss and really enjoyed it. The pub, restaurant in Balmaha terrific. Very comfortable. We had a wonderful family reunion there and will always remember it well.
