The best place to call home while visiting Florence
This is a cute and comfortable place to stay while visiting Florence. The location is fantastic because it is right near Ponte Vecchio but is on a quiet side street. It is near all the main sites, and just across the bridge from the best gelato and the grocery store.
The sunny terrace is perfect for relaxing and the bedroom has a view of the Duomo. The 97 steps up to the apartment are worth it for such a cozy place to stay. Maria is so kind and really great to work with when making reservations and giving suggestions on places to visit. I would definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Florence.
I wait for you in Florence, when you want to come back you will be my welcome guests
Perfect apartment and location for a family holiday.
We spent a week in Maria's very comfortable and delightful apartment. Four of us slept comfortably, two in the bedroom and two on the very comfortable pull out couch in the living room. We spent most of our time out exploring Florence so only had light breakfast and coffee in the apartment, but the kitchen was well equipped and there is a lovely terrace -- though a little too chilly for us during our visit except for on the last day of our stay when it was warm and sunny. Having a second half bath was also a big plus. The apartment is near everything but very little street noise is audible. The 96 steps may be daunting for some but really are manageable and left lots of leeway for our daily gelato. Maria is a lovely host. She met us at the apartment and gave wonderful recommendations for restaurants and other sites. Highly recommend this lovely apartment. We would definitely return again.
It was a pleasure to host you and your kids and it was a pleasure to meet you.
I wait for you in the summer when the city and my terrace are full of flowers.
Nice apartment with a great patio
Maria is a great host. The apartment is clean and although not well stocked they provide almost everything needed to cook and enjoy meals on the beautiful patio overlooking the tile roofs of Florence. No elevator but it's worth the hike. Excellent location on a very quiet street. Her mother's paintings grace the walls and reflect her true Florientine artistic talent. This is my second stay with Maria and I will return again soon.
I expect you soon, then: let me know as soon as possible the time of your next stay, so I reserve the apartment for you, Brian.
Beautifully decorated and lovely apartment.in the heart of Florence!
This was our last stay on a three week trip through Italy. It was also the nicest apartment of the trip. Maria has decorated it with such thought and care. Beautiful little details everywhere...including on the balcony. Sadly, we only had two nights and one full days in Florence, which is not enough time, but the excellent location of this apartment really gave us a head-start on seeing the highlights. A block from the Ponte Vecchio, walking distance to many museums, the Duomo, and other highlights of the city. It was perfect! There are several flights up to the apartment, but we figured it helped us stay in shape. Overall, it was perfect for our needs and just such a darling place to stay. Maria is wonderful and so kind and helpful. I will definitely stay here again!
One day and two nights is too short to know Florence: I look forward to you next year, or when you can come back to Italy: try to pick you up at least a week, so you can visit the surroundings and take some excursions in the Tuscan countryside.
Greetings from Florence
Very pleasant, clean, airy apartment with view of Duomo. Central location. Outstanding host.
Apartment was very clean, comfortable and airy with a balcony that was great to have meals on. Lovely view of Duomo from bedroom. Central location great for walking to either side of river. Walking distance to train station. Number of steps to reach third floor but worth it for all the perks. Maria was wonderful to share her suggestions on best things to do in Florence and was extremely responsive to questions during our stay. We loved staying there.
Excelllent location, tidy apartment.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay. Maria was very helpful and quick to respond to our queries; and shared plenty of local knowledge. The location made it very easy to access many of the major sights of Firenze, and made for an easy rest stop during a busy day of sightseeing. The apartment itself was comfortable with a very pleasant terrace. The 97 steps up helped to counter the many visits to the local gelateria.
In the historical center of Florence, just 50 meters from the Ponte Vecchio, 100 from the elegant Via Tornabuoni, Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi museum, 200 meters from Piazza Pitti and the Boboli Gardens, less than 400 meters from the station Central; the apartment is ideally placed for those wishing to explore on foot the center of Florence, is fully equipped, quiet and comfortable: From the window of the bedroom you can see the dome of the Duomo.
