What makes this Apartment unique
This home is bright and quiet, has a beautiful south-facing terrace where it is possible, even in winter, sunbathe and enjoy the scents of the flowers that bloom throughout the year.
The best place to call home while visiting Florence
This is a cute and comfortable place to stay while visiting Florence. The location is fantastic because it is right near Ponte Vecchio but is on a quiet side street. It is near all the main sites, and just across the bridge from the best gelato and the grocery store.
The sunny terrace is perfect for relaxing and the bedroom has a view of the Duomo. The 97 steps up to the apartment are worth it for such a cozy place to stay. Maria is so kind and really great to work with when making reservations and giving suggestions on places to visit. I would definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Florence.
I wait for you in Florence, when you want to come back you will be my welcome guests
It’s like being on the rooftop of the renaissance
Location, location, location! It’s like being on the rooftop of the renaissance. You’re on the 6tht floor with a wonderful and large terrace with an herb garden and flowers. When you step onto the street you’re 125 yards away from the Ponte Vechia. You’re 100 yards from a concert hall offering classical music every night. There are 3 great restaurants within 25 yards (not to mention a hundred more within walking distance) and a quick market across the street. The location does NOT get any better.
My host was waiting for me when I arrived and very helpful. A wonderful Florentine host. The apartment was well decorated and the kitchen fully equipped.
I would stay here again in a minute!
There were only two things that are draw backs for some.
1. This is a 6th floor walk up. (Thus the roof of the renaissance). If you have a heart condition, can’t do stairs or over packed this location is not for you. None of these were a problem for me as I pack light and walk the stairs all the time.
2. The bed is not firm, it’s HARD. This was easily fixed by put down a half dozen blankets under the bottom sheet and that was easily fixed.
Bottom line. It’s an incredible location with and absolutely wonderful host. Tea in the mornings/evening on the terrace was unforgettable.
You have to be fit to clime the stairs...
The flat was ok for a few day stay. However, it should be mentioned on the property description that it's on the 6th floor and no elevator.
The location is good, just a few blocs away from the major sights.
We enjoyed the large terrace in the evening, and there are good restaurants nearby.
The announcement clearly shows the presence of the stairs and the lack of the elevator.
The apartment is on the third floor (not the sixth), even if the building is old with high ceilings and the steps are not few.
I always warn my guests that the building has no lift and that the apartment is on a high floor.
This space was absolutely lovely!
This space was absolutely lovely! It is located right in the heart of everything that is wonderful about Florence. A short walk to all the fantastic sites, the river, the cool markets, the excellent restaurants, everything. The apartment was spacious, well-furnished and maintained, and just full of the flavor of Florence. There are a lot of stairs, but it didn't bother us. (We are in our early 60's.) Maria was fabulous, friendly, and extraordinarily helpful with giving us ideas and tips on what to do and how best to do it. I would definitely recommend this space and location. We hope to come back again.
Thank you, I hope to have new suggestions for you when you want to come back to Florence.
Perfect apartment and location for a family holiday.
We spent a week in Maria's very comfortable and delightful apartment. Four of us slept comfortably, two in the bedroom and two on the very comfortable pull out couch in the living room. We spent most of our time out exploring Florence so only had light breakfast and coffee in the apartment, but the kitchen was well equipped and there is a lovely terrace -- though a little too chilly for us during our visit except for on the last day of our stay when it was warm and sunny. Having a second half bath was also a big plus. The apartment is near everything but very little street noise is audible. The 96 steps may be daunting for some but really are manageable and left lots of leeway for our daily gelato. Maria is a lovely host. She met us at the apartment and gave wonderful recommendations for restaurants and other sites. Highly recommend this lovely apartment. We would definitely return again.
It was a pleasure to host you and your kids and it was a pleasure to meet you.
I wait for you in the summer when the city and my terrace are full of flowers.
Nice apartment with a great patio
Maria is a great host. The apartment is clean and although not well stocked they provide almost everything needed to cook and enjoy meals on the beautiful patio overlooking the tile roofs of Florence. No elevator but it's worth the hike. Excellent location on a very quiet street. Her mother's paintings grace the walls and reflect her true Florientine artistic talent. This is my second stay with Maria and I will return again soon.
I expect you soon, then: let me know as soon as possible the time of your next stay, so I reserve the apartment for you, Brian.
